CNN:

Former HUD secretary and Hillary Clinton supporter Henry Cisneros excoriated Texas' arcane electoral process as "a great burden on voters" and said that losing the delegate count on Tuesday because of the state caucuses would be "exceedingly unfair."

Cisneros was speaking to a group of Clinton volunteers who had gathered on Saturday morning at Fox Tech High School to train for Tuesday evening's state caucuses, which follow a day of primary voting. One-third of the state's pledged delegates are allocated through the caucuses, while the rest are determined by the day's primary vote.

It sounds like the Republicans really rammed Democrats in this issue.

Too bad.

But we're sort of stuck with your system.

Good to see you're informing people. That will provide perspective.

But this is really a Texas Democrat issue against your Texas Republicans, who obviously have strangled you in recent years.

It happens.

Republican Troll. Note that we are in the DEMOCRATIC PARTY (well, except for a few Greens), and there is no such thing as a Democrat Party. But I agree with you AnnCoulterinCA, you are indeed stuck with a democratic (small d) system, and you will have to fool us better than you have been if you want to get geriatric McCain into the White House.

Annin CA, crushing the truth like a wrecking ball again. This is NOT a republican issue, this is the way the TX Dem Party set up their primary.

Again, the Democratic Party of TX set this up...it has been in place a long time, and Husband Bill won the state under this system in the '90's.

Consult the Texas Democratic website if you have any doubts...you can sign up & receive e-mails just like I do explaining the system, and how to cuacus after you vote.

Jeez, for once do ya think you might be able to post something with a basis in fact?

um, ann has a bit of a problem with pesky facts.

the reality-based community thing is kind of a new concept.

Best comment of the day, Cedman - although I was going to say that it is all so reminiscent of George W Bush in 2000.

Cedman, where've you been lately? And, Hill's pants suits aren't nearly as handsome as Rummy's or even Bill's. Maybe she should contact Tucker Carlson's dresser...

You know the drip, drip, drip of the Clinton campaign is much bothering me more than the idea that she is still in the race. If she can't behave like a grownup and run like a worthy opponent instead of taking this scorched earth routine and damning everything that doesn't work out to her benefit she should do what's best for her party and her country and drop out.

Don't worry Henry, Obama will be working hard to kick Hillary's butt in the popular vote in Texas too. This whining about the Pri-caucus in Texas by the Clinton side is silly.

Hillary had a battle plan that expected her to have things wrapped up by 2/5/08 so she never focused on the Texas voting rules a year ago when the primaries and caucuses were put together. Just deal with it. The Obama ground game is kicking your butt.

The Clintons are wearing us down with their whining garbage. I actually dreamt that there would be two good candidates but that dream has turned into a Clinton nightmare.

Yep. I seem to have heard that Bill Clinton won this TX primary TWICE and it had the SAME SYSTEM that HRC now complains about. They whine when they lose. It's so Bushie like it's scary. They cover their own incompetence with complaints of unfairness.

Oh here we go like that song title "Well it's crying time again". For gods sake enough withe whining interesting you don't hear Obama ever complaining about the process EVER!

Yes, he deals with reality rather than complaining about it; ironic, considering he's supposed to be the "head in the clouds" candidate.

here we go again complaining about the caucuses. somehow the system only became problematic when it became a real possibility that she might lose texas. when her camp thought this would all be over by feb. 5th, she didn't give a rats ass about how the system placed "a great burden on voters".

Just like MI and FL now being "unfairly" not included.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:45 PM on 03/01/2008

Pretty soon, the Hillary campaign will get to the true nub of the matter, which is that they consider it "unfair" that we get to look at her Senatorial record. That's their REAL problem, and there's nothing they can do about it, because every time she tries to justify her votes, she either gets caught lying very badly, or comes off as a morally disturbed and tone-deaf person.

When Hillary was up by double digits nobody complained about the prima-caucuses; now all of a sudden they're "unfair".

Politics as usual.

Hillary assumed Texas would be like Michigan where hers would be the only name on the ballot. That's how she likes the game played. Maybe she should run for office in Cuba!
