Marion Cotillard's 9/11 And Moon Landing Conspiracy Theories

Oscar-winning Marion Cotillard was facing embarrasment with her new American public last night after it emerged that she doubted the official account of the September 11 attacks. The 32-year-old French star has swept this year's best actress awards, also receiving a Bafta, Golden Globe and a César for her performance as singer Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose...

But the actress faces a potential backlash in the US over comments she made in an interview in France. Footage which surfaced on the internet showed her questioning the New York terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the 1969 moon landing.

"I think we're lied to about a number of things," she said, singling out September 11.

Referring to the two passenger jets flown into the World Trade Centre, Miss Cotillard said: "We see other towers of the same kind being hit by planes, are they burned? There was a tower, I believe it was in Spain, which burned for 24 hours.

It never collapsed. None of these towers collapsed. And there [New York], in a few minutes, the whole thing collapsed."

Miss Cotillard suggested that the towers, planned in the early 1960s, were an outdated "money sucker" which would have cost so much to modernise that it was easier to destroy them.

Turning to America's space programme, she said: "Did a man really walk on the moon? I saw plenty of documentaries on it, and I really wondered. And in any case I don't believe all they tell me, that's for sure."

Miss Cotillard, who was born and brought up in Paris, made the comments on Paris Première - Paris Dernière (Paris First - Paris Last), a programme first broadcast a year ago.

It is good to see 9/11 finally getting some exposure on HP. People who study the issue seriously will find that the official myth cannot be true. The official myth is by definition a conspiracy theory, since it involves two or more people planning to do something in secret. The official myth is a myth because those who doubt it are ostracized and labeled as heretics.

Many Americans warn of the impending police state and are waiting for the soldiers in jackboots, similar 1930s Nazi Germany. That's not how it works in 21st century America. The US Reichstag fire happened in September 2001, and the constitutional and legislative changes required for the new fascist regime have already been made.

Trying to expose the truth about 9/11 is important, but it's even more important to expose any possible moves by officials to bring about the next 9/11. First came Oklahoma City, OK, next came New York City, NY. What city is next? My #1 candidate is Texas City, TX. Check out the fascist named Klock who is running for Tom "The Hammer" Delay's old seat. Just Google on the terms Klock and Houston, then see what Captain Eric May has to say about him on lonestaricon.

The collapse of the main towers could and probably did happen due to nothing more than what we all saw on tv. Two planes hit in the middle of the towers, and the fires softened the steel enough that the weight of the upper stories collapsed one, then two, then all of the floors. There could be many explanations for the so-called bomb blasts everyone says they heard. A huge building in the process of disintegration is going to have many shifting stresses, that find an "explosive" release.

All that said, I can't say that's ALL that happened. I certainly can't account for the vertical and complete collapse of buildings that were never hit by planes, or by any substantial amount of debris from the other buildings. That question needs answering, though it probably never will be answered.

seriously!? There is a mountain of evidence disproving what you just wrote above (nevermind the rest of the fairytale), like this is the first time a steel building has collapsed from a fire...and miracles of miracles, we had a 2nd and a third! steel tower collapse in no time flat. Yes. Quite plausible. Too bad jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel. Get thinking, you are turning into a police state and you need to start learning the truth before its too late.

loose change anyone? (google it)

All this proves is that actors in France are just as uneducated and naive as those in the US. She gave a great performance in the Piaf movie, let's leave it at that.

Marion Cotillard has nothing to apologize for, or to be embarrassed about. She spoke her mind, and if what she said was ridiculous, so are you for getting so upset about it. As an American, I'm embarrassed at the tone of these hateful comments about someone you don't even know. In a Bush recession, I hardly think anyone will exert enough effort to join a boycott of her, or her films. None of those bashing Cotillard on this forum sees any foreign films anyhow, or you would have already known who she was. But as long as Americans are so quick to jump on the "destroy bandwagon," and get manipulated by propagandists and media "leaders," the rest of the planet is going to see us as bigoted, redneck and fascist. Afer all, Americans put up with having our president selected for us in 2000, and then actually voted for the idiot in 2004. Yet no one got all this excited over being wiretapped, or having habeas corpus removed from the justice system, or living in a country which endorsed torture. But you can go all ballistic on an artist who has an opinion different from yours. You guys have got your heads on backwards. Please, go to bed, get up early, and do something positive for humanity rather than this nonsense. You're only making yourself look bad, and me along with you.

I have read many reliable scientific reports on towers meltdown implausibility. The suspicious residue of that substance that implodes buildings, the eye witnesses hearing rhythmic explosions from other floors, previous buildings of lesser structure burning fiercely yet not melting down, and the fact that norad was down for the count. I question anything from the goverment, the press, the corporations.... Any intelligent soul would do so, no? She has the right to question it as well. All through history goverments and power players have lied to the great unwashed. What would make this any different. Especially givent that the 911 commission refused to investigate certain scientifically plausible questions about the official story.

So what you're proposing is someone wanted to plant bombs to blow up the towers and frame terrorists, so they put the bombs in the building, BUT THEN rather than simply blowing up the building and planting some computer files to frame a few Muslims, they stage a ridiculously complicated multiple plane hijacking where a million things could go wrong and DID go wrong in the case of Flight 93. Sorry that just makes no sense at all. I understand your suspicion of the gov't and personally I believe the Bush cabal knew there were plots to fly planes into buildings (though they probably imagined a couple hundred deaths at most), and wanted to let it happen because it would give him the "pearl harbor" he needed to invade Iraq. BUT if you've got bombs in the building you don't risk exposing the plot with hijackings, its a ridiculous theory.

People have their own values and do not want to believe other creatures of government would do things they would not do. There is no art of conjecture for them. There is no exploration, no questioning, only assent to anything the now combined artifice of the fourth estate and official "reality,' conveys. Any thoughtful individual who knows their own sovereign power under our normative government can see through the pseudo science that passes for authority. Well one should have another thing coming here. Yes historically people without conscience operate, and even gravitate to the illusory powers of government. Real power makes life better for everyone, powerlessness the reverse and makes an illusion of betterment at great expense to the most of us.

Now the literature of September 11, 2008 concerns far more than we are willing to accept. Many people live in denial, smoking cigarettes and using their cell phones with wanton abandon. The same goes for our somewhat cursory examination of government, both its merits and abuses. Remember that phrase "my country right or wrong?" Yes the willingness to abandon morality and assent to what is wrong, but also to what is right? This Manachian and conflicted position disables us at every step. Like smoking cigarettes and even producing them in the face of genuine research, allows continued denial.

No one is falling for that denial any more, at least no one who is thoughtful rather than entirely reflexive.

I guess the proof is in the pudding - we all know exactly how brilliant terrorists (just overlook the fact these were former US allies - and, in fact, the only employer in bin Laden's CV is the CIA) from Afghanistan backcountry were able to simultaneously hijack airplanes in a moment of cimematic brilliance and fly them straight into the emblem (although aged and filled with asbestos) of American prosperity. This tragic feat was undertaken on a memorable day - 9/11- can't beat that. SOS loud and clear. I had no idea that 911 was an international emergency call - but that's besides the point. They thought of everything it appears. Aces in project management - sad loss of potential.... It is just an odd quirk of physics that the buildings collapsed so quickly (they didn't make them as they used to in the time of the ancient egypt) - and one tower wasn't even hit but it collapsed (empathetic response, perhaps). That woman should be ashamed to hold any ridiculous, far-fetched, French "conspiracy theories" about what America experiences on its own sacred soil. Such terror is not to be confronted on the home front - its an export commodity only.

Why does this blog say she was facing embarrassment? Did she say she was embarrassed? I don't see any proof of this besides the author's bias that she should feel embarrassed.

When did asking questions about some of the most important events in human history become embarrassing?

I am not entirely sure Allen himself is really saying she should be embarrassed, just acknowledging that, based on the way the US media and mindset works, she was merely "facing" the potential of embarrassment.

About an hour ago, good old Anderson Cooper on CNN ran this same "story" in his nightly "What Were They Thinking" segment. He did so with a "tisk tisk" condescending "shame on her" tone. You know, the whole: "How could anybody ever think that? She must be totally crazy or entirely ungrateful to us brainwashed, gullible, confused and fearful American's to say that" act.

And I think it IS an act to a degree for some; a necessary charade one does to toe the line and keep their job. Cooper had a kind of cynical look in his eye as he spoke. Something that gives me a little hope. Perhaps he knows M.C. could be right? Perhaps he secretly respects her even more now? But he can't let that out, can he? Not when he is a cog in the system of manufactured consent that pays him handsomely to read the telepromoter propaganda and not tread in areas that throw all of our "givens" into the harsh light of truth.

Obviously, the American mass media and US citizens in general just can't find the courage to admit or face all the horrible truths and dupes involved in 9/11 and beyond. It's much easier to go with the flow than against the grain. I am one of those people to a degree, I admit it. I lead a double-life. One half is a truth seeking freedom fighter and the other half keeps it to myself and myself alone or to some anonymous blogger poster like you. I am not very happy that I can't be the freedom fighter all the time, but also realize in a way that it is not just about standing on street corners yelling or knocking on doors and confronting people with their own ignorance or denial. To be successful in the enlightenment process, one must use skillful means. That means, most of the time it comes down to a process of finding out where people are at and then meeting them at that level and very slowly transitioning them, expanding them, turning them in a more appropriate direction so that day by day, week by week, year by year you find they are more and more open, fearless, courageous, inspired, outspoken, or whatever is called for.

You know as well as I do that if I challenged every denier out there in the name of reality, truth, justice or whatever cause is worthy of being championed, I'd seriously be putting myself at a disadvantage. If I were a famous actor or super rich or from another country, I wouldn't be so concerned. But since I am not those things (yet) I'd have to say that most likely people would shun me, hate me, avoid me like the plague and worse. They already do just because I am a thinker and a creative and "spiritual" and a "liberal," etc.

My point is, and it really hurts to write this, I'm finding out that shallow kinship is sometimes better than none at all. I no longer "resent" my family and so many people for the way they are. To a degree, small talk and "getting along" starts to sound nice when compared to the other option, a life as a loner. I am already an outsider and I know damn well that the majority of men lead lives of quiet desperation. This is not to say that I don't have kindred spirits out there who give me support and consolation. It's just that at the end of the day, we are all faced with so many extremely difficult issues and I have learned to be a lot more forgiving of all of our shortcomings because I am confronted by them practically every minute of my waking life and it has got to the point that if I don't just chill-out a little and just let things slide a bit I will end of either going mad or slitting my wrists out of frustration.

It's taken me a long time to realize that most people don't even have time for the simplest things, let alone to deal with a massive blow like 9/11 Truth. I mean, it's totally scary to them. Even people in the upper middle class with a relatively high level of opportunity to develop some consciousness and awareness are just mired in an endless list of excuses why they cannot permit themselves to really think. People are scared to death of what they will find and how it will force them to take responsibility and how that will rock their little fragile worlds in the process. These people are mortified by the thought of questioning the "official" story," a story anyone with some brains or guts can see right through. Anyone who has really woken up is painfully aware of this. It's sad and it's sickening but somehow we keep soldiering on and somehow we find we have made things a little better by our efforts, however small they seem.

i sympathise with the way you feel, but as i see it there are only a few degrees of separation between your position and how the Germans rationalised their way out of their collective disinterest to tragedies of the WW2 era. We have to rebel against the almost forced ignorance of mainstream thought. In 20 or 30 years if it comes to light that 911, like so many others, was infact a conspiracy and that it led to countless atrocities what will be your excuse? "i didnt know!" or "i pretentended not to know"?

and for all those who think 9/11 cannot be a conspiracy think again. western involvement in false flag terrorism is a proven fact. Operation Gladio exposes all of it. with an understanding of this (almost half century long conspiracy) the rest becomes crystal clear. it may not prove that 9/11 was a conspiracy, but it should lay to rest any notions of it being "ridiculous"

NATOs Secret Armies by Daniele Ganser (Phd) is probably the single best academic study on Operation Gladio and is a great starting point. Infact its a "Red Pill/Blue Pill" book.

Its all rather uncomfortable stuff. but im afraid to say it, the longer we let this stuff carry on then the future is going to become way more uncomfortable for alot more people worldwide.

There wouldn't be a word to describe conspiracies if they didn't exist. The fact is that PNAC put their names on a document that stated what they were conspiring to do. The Watergate burglars were part of a conspiracy, Oliver North and others were part of the Iran/Contra conspiracy. These things do happen, that is fact. So to condemn anyone who doesn't believe the official explaination is to ignore our own very recent history. Side note, these were all committed by republicans.

"These things do happen, that is fact. So to condemn anyone who doesn't believe the official explaination is to ignore our own very recent history"

That's the thinking of the nay-sayers. Conspiracies only happen if someone is caught doing them. If they get away with them, then of course there is no conspiracy. Its just a happy coincidence.

Its sad, but most of these true believers will be dead when all this comes out, and when it does come out it'll be history, and no one will care. The damage (or the benefit, if you're part of the Cheney let's rule the world and rape and pillage) will have already been done.

Just like Pearl Harbor and FDR knew -- who cares? We won didn't we?

Facts are facts. I'm not sure with all the evidence presented that anyone could doubt the moon landings. As for 9/11, there was no conspiracy by the powers that be. That would give them way too much credit for intelligence that they obviously don't have. as for the other conspiracies, go nuts have fun. But I do have one question. Why did Sirhan B Sirhan shoot Bobby Kennedy? He pled guilty and nobody ever asked. I can't believe that a judge wouldn't enter a not guilty plea on the defendant's behalf because of the serious nature of the crime.

Well, you gotta love the internet. You can find someone to say anything, and sound so reasonable, with evidence, conjecture, analysis, and everything!

http://www.john-lennon.net/whoauthorizedtheassassinationofjohnlennon.htm

"...Bresler concludes that the Lennon assassination, which, as the assassin himself noted in a rare interview, "ended an era," bears similarities to another assassination that took place twelve years earlier: the murder of Robert Francis Kennedy.

"Robert Francis Kennedy's apparent lone assassin, Sirhan Sirhan, and John Lennon's assassin just happened to have shared the same defense psychiatrist. But while Dr. Bernard Diamond couldn't skirt the obvious fact that Sirhan was under hypnosis (Diamond wrote it off as self-hypnosis), he labeled John Lennon's assassin a "paranoid schizophrenic."

The court disagreed. The assassin, even now, has never had more than routine psychiatric care since entering his guilty plea. He was not sent to a mental hospital, but to Attica State Prison. He was judged legally "rational."
.

Who Authorized The Assassination Of John Lennon?

It took me almost 22 years to figure out who most likely authorized the assassination of John Lennon, the greatest singer songwriter and the most influential political artist of our time. I believe it could have been the CIA that manipulated the assassin of John Winston Lennon, but more likely, I believe a new army of old school CIA, which was let go under President Carter, manipulated the assassin. I believe the assassin was a mind-control experiment, like all their old tricks of MKULTRA, only much more sophisticated.

I believe their old boss authorized it. The person the CIA building in Washington D.C. is named after. I believe he was the same person who tried to assassinate President Ronald Wilson Reagan on his sixty-ninth day in office -- March 30, 1981. He is the person with the most to gain from both of these assassinations. So, who authorized the assassination of John Lennon? I believe it was the .....

You haven't seen the YouTube video on the moon landing "conspiracy." Watch it, it does raise fun and interesting questions. It's a great critical thinking exercise at least. That and the expanding earth video. I love YouTube "documentaries."

The moon-landing conspiracy theories don't say we never went to the moon, just that we didn't do it on national television. We couldn't risk such an incredibly public and profound failure on national television so the TV landing was staged just so there were no accidents. They actually did go to the moon on later missions, which is how we got the moon rocks and such.
