Marion Cotillard's 9/11 And Moon Landing Conspiracy Theories

Oscar-winning Marion Cotillard was facing embarrasment with her new American public last night after it emerged that she doubted the official account of the September 11 attacks. The 32-year-old French star has swept this year's best actress awards, also receiving a Bafta, Golden Globe and a César for her performance as singer Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose...

But the actress faces a potential backlash in the US over comments she made in an interview in France. Footage which surfaced on the internet showed her questioning the New York terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the 1969 moon landing.

"I think we're lied to about a number of things," she said, singling out September 11.

Referring to the two passenger jets flown into the World Trade Centre, Miss Cotillard said: "We see other towers of the same kind being hit by planes, are they burned? There was a tower, I believe it was in Spain, which burned for 24 hours.

It never collapsed. None of these towers collapsed. And there [New York], in a few minutes, the whole thing collapsed."

Miss Cotillard suggested that the towers, planned in the early 1960s, were an outdated "money sucker" which would have cost so much to modernise that it was easier to destroy them.

Turning to America's space programme, she said: "Did a man really walk on the moon? I saw plenty of documentaries on it, and I really wondered. And in any case I don't believe all they tell me, that's for sure."

Miss Cotillard, who was born and brought up in Paris, made the comments on Paris Première - Paris Dernière (Paris First - Paris Last), a programme first broadcast a year ago.

I wonder if the actress even had the television or radio on? Did she read a newspaper?
Honestly, I really wish that reporters will ask these simple questions of those who they interview.

And apart from this, the moon landing conspiracy nuts, one has to wonder, if they were alive at that moment in time, what were they doing?

Didn't they watch tv or listen to the radio?

Or read a newspaper or were they too young or not even born?

Or are they just crazy people who can't think straight?

I watched the moon landing on TV in 1969. My parents were very excited and we saw, on the bottom of the screen, "simulation". My father was disappointed because he thought he was going to see the actual landing. What makes you so sure of that it happened? Have you read any of the questions that have been asked?

1932 - 1972, the U.S. Public Health service conducted experiments on 399 black men without obtaining informed consent. They lied to these people, saying they were going to receive free health care. The doctors exposed them to syphilis, explained symptoms away by saying they had bad blood. The PHS actively prevented some men from receiving treatment. Their wives and children were infected. But it was all kept secret and lied about. In 1997 Bill Clinton publicly apologized for this outrage. What makes you think the government is above covering up atrocities committed against U.S. citizens now?

Why did the secret service guarding Bush permit him to remain unprotected at a location that had been well publicized for weeks in advance for more than forty minutes after the first plane hit?
Why did Bush fight having a 9/11 official investigation? When the investigation proceeded, why did the U.S. Government interfere? There are many, many unanswered questions.

I suppose it is easier to dismiss legit questions by dismissing the people who ask them as 'crazy people who can't think straight' than to admit the possibility that all is not as we are told it is.

peacehappens, "simulation" appeared on the TV screen when the orbiter was behind the moon. NASA could not see through the moon, nor did they have the technology to see around the moon. They still knew what was taking place. NASA created the simulations as a visual aide for those of us that didn't know what was taking place. Since we saw actual video alongside simulated video, it was necessary that NASA distinguish between the two. As far as the actual landing, the TV picture was not simulated. If you remember, the transmission was degraded by the Sun's radiation and was hard to see on old TVs with rooftop antennas. The "simulations" were crystal clear computer animations and were easily distinguished by the real McCoy.

I don't believe everything I read. I don't think the WTC tragedy was thoroughly investigated. I do believe we landed on the moon, saw it on TV with my own eyes.

Your argument about the auto engine is stupid...there is a cooling system which carries heat through the radiator and out into the environment. No radiator...the engine would seize up in about 3 minutes. If it could be kept running much more damage would occur.

They sure got rid of all the physical evidence quickly, and resisted the formation of the 911 Commission. Who benefited from 911? Who could have done it? At minimum they let it happen, at max.. well know one will ever know, since there has been minimal investigat­ion--espec­ially given the magitude of the event. It is probably too hard for many people in this country to contemplate the idea of government involvement. 911 seems to have been milked so heavily for political gain, that it makes you wonder. Trillions of dollars have flowed into the hands of a few since that event took place. The obvious way to prevent future terror is to analyse 911 in detail, and find out how our National Security was breached. Bin Laden remains at large, and 70% of the 911 Commissions original questions remain unanswered, and no one in the US government has been held accountable for the lapses in normal security procedures. Yet the inconclusive investigation by the Commission leaves out most of the details. We know 19 Arabs where involved. That does not mean that we have a conclusive list, regardless of how hard people in this country want that to be so.

Where the oxygen is. OUTSIDE. Think of the flames emanating from a jet dragster. Like that.

The bulding into which Yankee pitcher Cory Lidle flew, albeit in a much smaller craft ,was nowhere near the fortress of reinforced steel that WTC was. As I stared up at the massive flames pouring out of that building, I will stipulate that it was easy to think that the whole tower, at the very least, would be totally engulfed by flames in just a few minutes. Didn't happen.

I can't give you the exact time it took, but those flames went straight for the oxygen AND BURNED THEMSELVES OUT QUICKLY. It looked like the exhaust at the back end of a bazooka. However hot it was inside that unfortunate lady's 30th floor apartment, it did not last long. And therefore, the temperature... as also had to be the case in the WTC... could not possibly build UP to steel-melting temperatures. It had nowhere to go but DOWN.

Now, who you gonna believe... Popular Mechanics, or my lyin' eyes?

Can't support her on the moon landing thing, but, I'm tired of people being labeled with pejoratives or called crazy when they question the ridiculous, and totally impossible official story of 9/11. The evidence for government involvement is overwhelming and compelling even to the most sober minded as long as that mind is open, and not closed by such dogmatically nationalistic thoughts as "It can't happen here".

It does not logically follow that if she is wrong about the accepting the veracity of any one historical event that she is also wrong about accepting the veracity of any other historical event. The US government's explanation for the collapse of the WTC towers beggars belief - it requires us to ignore a mountain of science and logic. Her explanation only requires us to accept the untrustworthy statements of a government that is known by its deception and its secrets.

It is necessary to point out that the US government's modus operandi is to conceal and deceive with regard to what is really going on in space as well. We have little more knowledge of what the US government is doing in space than we do of what goes on inside any of the US military command posts. Consensus reality is just that - a mutually agreed-upon illusion that we all share, for good and for ill. That doesn't make it "THE" reality - otherwise you'll have to throw out quantum physics along with most of modern cosmology.
