Election Central:

Yesterday Bill Richardson gave an interview that has gotten a bunch of attention already, because in it he said that Dems should coalesce behind the candidate with the "clear lead" after tomorrow's voting....

...He was outspoken in his criticism of Clinton's new "ringing phone" ad, which suggests that Obama is not ready to become commander in chief. "I happen to disagree with that ad that says that Senator Obama is not ready," he said. "He is ready. He has great judgment, an internationalist background."

Putin is no longer President of Russia, but Clinton doesn't know the name of his successor. (Medvedev)

here's my spin, obama has something up his sleeve, and will have some huge announcement weds. a.m. , especially if he loses ohio and or texas. he wants to take the wind out of hillary's victories, and i'm guessing some big name endorsements. notice they haven't announced his feb. donor $$$$. i also bet it's around $54mil. if she wins either state, they'll unload with lots of news of their own come weds. a.m. to ofset her victory. folks it's over, the remaining states favor obama's demographics.

I saw the enterview and that title is an overstatement, but I wish he would just shut up and mind his own business.

He is a citizen he is a governor of a state and I guess as much as it is your business or my business it is his business ..

Gee, I thought that since both camps were sending him wine, roses, and roofies trying to seal the deal on an endorsement, that would indicate that he may be part of the business you say he should stay out of.

Wait a sec -I seem to remember Richardson bragging in an early debate that he had a lot MORE National Security experience than Clinton, Obama and Edwards combined.

Now he singing Obama's National Security experience. Heh.

Remember one of teh first debates, when Hillary was in the lead in polls.

Remember when Richardson defended Hillary against some attacks by the others.

Rchardson has his nose up her tush because he believed she would win and he wanted a cabinent post.

Now that Obama has the lead, Richardson has removed his nose from her tush and firmly planted in Obama's tush.

It's called pandering for political favor. Richardson wants a Cabinet Seat bad.

Just like Obama is pandering to republicans to get primary votes by talking about inclduing GOP in his cabinet.

The politics of personal distruction... You're either with us or against us. Now Richardson is Judas! How low will the Clintonistas go?

I hear some polls have Hillary ahead in Texas -- maybe Richardson will switch back again.

Fun, huh?

LOL at a possible response ad for Clinton's 3:00am commercial. Have Bill answer the phone while distracted, undressed and being entertained by an intern. There is an ad for you, Barack!!

judgement? google "obama and Tony Rezko", google Rev. Wright and obama- the story that obama's LONG time preacher who he knows very well said these states quoted below. (I dont think its the kind of change that we were hoping for)
More recently, his name is becoming nationally familiar as the longtime spiritual mentor of Barack Obama, who joined the church in 1988 - a move Obama says was important to shaping his identity as an African-American. In fact, Obama's book title "Audacity of Hope" was taken from one of Wright's sermons. (Plagiarism even then, huh?)

Here's some audacious comments from the good Rev. Wright on random topics:

On 9/11: "In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01...White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just 'disappeared,' as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns."

On Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan: "He brings a perspective that is helpful and honest...Minister Farrakhan will be remembered as one of the 20th and 21st century giants of the African-American religious experience."

He is NOT the kind of American President we want in office, our vote goes to Hillary who at least had the balls to reject Farrakhan's racism on MANY occasions.

Allen66 -
Google - Hillary Clinton - Rape Trial - 12-year-old destroyed by rape -1975 - Washington County Arkansas.

Google - Clinton Casualties

How about the Marc Rich pardon. The Clintons accepted several thousands of dollars worth of furniture from his wife - probably a "buy off". Then here's what you'll get on this - but go and read the entire article....

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=21595
"On Jan. 20, President Clinton gave Rich a chance for a third "do-over." Clinton wiped all the criminal charges off of Rich's record with a presidential pardon on his last day in power. The Rich pardon has received special attention because Denise Rich raised and donated more than $1 million to the Democratic Party in recent years and also provided the Clintons directly with a $10,000 contribution to their legal defense fund and $7,300 worth of furniture. "

If Barack Obama wanted to turn the tables on Hillary Clinton, which as a gentleman he probably would not do, he could flood the airwaves everyday with their wrongdoing, not only before the Clinton administration, but during and after. Anyone who truly remembers the 90s cannot possibly EVER want a repeat.

As for her experience, she has NONE. How can you possibly get a nation to believe Hillary helped make decisions in the Clinton adminstration if you did NOT have any security clearance in the white house? Just which phone calls did Hillary take at 3 a.m? You know and I know there were none.

Is Hillary a democrat or has her lust for power driven her beyond reality. Is this the type of person you want as president? She cannot possibly win the delegates but she's willing to tear the party apart in order to win...much like she did to that poor 12-year-old in Washington Co., Arkansas, in 1975. Winning, no matter what the cost, has always been their motto; even if it means destroying the life of a child.

That is so odd ... The Anti-defamation league has not found anything Antisemitic about the Rev. Wright but in response to your random quotes the first quote has nothing wrong with it ... we have ignored people of color ... we have ignored Africa ... look what Bill Clinton did in Rwanda ... Clinton said he will never forget and I cannot forget it ... think about the genocide that could have been averted? Think about what has happened on the continent of Africa ... think about what we have done in the US to African Americans and Indigenous People ... so it is not a big deal ... and if the Anti-defamation league has no problem I would suggest you are engaging in racism ...
Furthermore the definition of racism has to do with power relations so as much as I am not a fan of Farrakhan he can be prejudiced but not racist sorry only you and I as whites can be racist ...
One other thing Allen66 ... on more than one occasion Senator Obama has repudiated Minister Farrakahn so please comment on facts stop lying and stop the hyperbole and stop the conjecture it is really despicable ...
Google-ing Obama and Tony Rezko means nothing do you understand story and blog and lie and conjecture and internet placement do not substitute for facts ... you are sadly sadly mistaken

If Hillary doesn't receive the nomination, she is certainly willing to kick all Democrats in the teeth with this type of ad. Keep playing right into their hands, Hillary! Win at all costs and keep following Limbaugh's advise to ultimately hurt the party.

Richardson has to be the most ungrateful individual I have seen in a long time. This ass would be no where if it was not for Bill Clinton. He gave him two jobs, two. Why shouldd we expect any better from this Judas.

All of the politicians have sort of shocked me this year by just how the notion of loyalty is vastly overblown.

Or maybe he is more concerned about placing a Democrat in the White House than simply winning the nomination for Clinton.

Loyalty eh. Isn't that how Dubya took over the country?

Richards doesn't owe anybody a damn thing, but he is a citizen of this country who has the right to support the candidate of his choice.

This is exactly the problem with Washington now, to many back alley deals based on YOU OWE ME.

Neocon-lite...and throwback politics is all Hillary offers.

Are you questioning Richard's loyalty to his country, his party, or the Clintons as individuals? It is pretty clear that Hillary has no chance of winning the nomination but if she stays in much past Tuesday she can continue to harm Obama, the Democratic party, and our country.

I think Richardson should not stab the back of Clintons and support Hillary. He was fortunate to have been picked by Bill Clinton to serve in his cabinet. Where is the principle Gov. Richardson ?

Well, hopefully Clinton needed a good person for the job(s) and Richardson could do well. It wasn't exactly a charity case.

Richardson served his country in the Clinton administration. He's still serving his country. He owes us nothing more and he certainly owes the Clintons nothing. (If anything they owe him since everyone who defended him back then had their reputation a bit tarnished by Bill's lying and subsequent impeachment).

He doesn't owe the Clintons anything--certainly not to dissemble (as they would) on PRINCIPLES.

I hope he'll find some strength and endorse Obama. It seems clear he wants to but is being bullied & badgered by Bill into silence.

How white of the Clintons to pick a Hispanic Cabinet members. Now look at his gratitude. Oh well, good help is hard to fine.

The Clintons asked him to wait until after March 4th before endorsing anyone. He has complied with their wish. On Sunday he warned Hillary what he is going to do on Wednesday to give her a chance to bow out gracefully.

As much as some people may want it, we don't live in a monarchy (yet) where we must pledge lifelong fealty to party royalty. Their is no dishonor for Richardson to choose to endorse someone other than a Clinton, especially when the Clintons seem hell-bent on ripping apart the Democratic party and hand the White House to the Republicans.

The nomination will not be decided at the convention, it will be decided at an intervention.

after all of the hijinks Hillary has done the past week it would make sense for people to see her as a hormonal whacked out woman. She's too old for pms so who knows but what she has done bouncing all over the damn place and making crazier comments and accusing Barack of lots of things he never has done makes her not the one I want making decisions. How many advisors does it take to change a light bulb and how much will they cost? with Penn she got a high dollar hooker who will say and do things to protect himself and the hell with how much he costs and if you get off or elected. The amount od indecision she has had and never taking control over all of those who have led her in different directions says she has not one brain cell making decisions just people. If she can act as crazy as she has and people will vote for her now then they deserve the outcome. She is bush in a strange colored pantsuit and she needs more people to tell her what to do and someone togive her meds for the insanity.

Not hormonal and whacked out at all.

Just calculating, opportunistic and manipulative. She's shown she would abandon integrity and principles if it would get her some votes.

She was once a role model. Now? Pathetic.

The trend in this election has been that the candidate who has gone negative has been punished. Obama went negative against Hillary in Ohio, that's why she still leads in Ohio.

Let's see if the weather is a factor tomorrow.

Hillary went negative in Iowa and lost. Hillary went negative in South Carolina and lost. Hillary went negative in Wisconsin and lost. Barack Obama went negative, or at least the union running commercials on Spanish radio, in Nevada and lost. GFY

Richardson said something else in that interview--when asked about a vice presidential candidate ,he said it should not be about who is most electable but who would be most qualified to step into the presidency and he said the most important factor is experience. He probably regrets his choice of words.
