Who said anything about boots and flannel? The discussion was about pants, and about wanting to be feminine so "they don't wear the pants," implying that "the pants" have something to do with control and leadership, and that those things are not feminine.
It is about choice. It is about not judging people by what they wear, which is what Fox is encouraging. And its about leaving women's options open. Are we all supposed to wear skirts and defer to the men in our lives? Is that how you project your ideas of femininity on to other people? If it is, then you are taking away from the work that has been done to promote women as equals. Or does being feminine come from within and from being confident in your own skin and comfortable from your own choices?
So, please, don't try to narrow our world because yours already is.

Man I feel bad for those girls on Fox News, they must know that the only reason they were hired was for their pretty faces. How can they even work for those douche bags? I would punch that guy in the face if he objectified me like that on TV. Even though she led him with that stupid "feminine" comment... ugh. I try not to judge, I really do, but it's too goddamn easy to hate this network.
It's not the skirts or the feminine comment that you hate about Fox News. It's the fact that they really do present both sides of a story. That beats up your ideology and your need to get everyone to believe your Leftist politics. Fox News is in the top five rated cable networks, including the entertainment ones, while CNN and the rest (MSNBC at 26th; Keith Olbermann you're a phony!) of the cable news networks are in the crapper.

They do not present both sides in a rational manner. They don't even present both sides all the time. What they are are is the wet dream of the loony right. As my husband says "You wouldn't believe what the women with the shiny lipstick are saying now". On the rare occastions we flip by and pause for a moment they sound like mentally challanged fools. I can tell you partly why their ratings are so high. We went on Vacation last fall, stopped at 15 hotels. 9 of them carried Fawx but no CNN and No Msnbc. I asked at the front desk every time why, I was told that the cable company didn'y offer it.
I wonder who made that decision, I bet it was some right wing loony.
OK, jeers, at least HuffPo tolerates anyone posting, because we aren't afraid of divergent (sorry, you probably don't know what that means) points of view, and allow people like you to post here. I posted something at Redstate.org, nothing hateful, just a progressive point of view, immediately got banned, blammed and ridiculed. Had to create a new username just to reply to all the hateful, bile-filled comments to my post, and that posting was immediately censored, and my new username banned within, say, 5 minutes!
Sorry, but it's the Bush-lovers like yourself who seem unable to carry on reasonable discussion and dialogue. Fox just feeds you baby formula, because that's all you can digest. Once you are grown up and full of hunger for knowledge and curiosity about the world around you, you will probably want to leave them so you can find some honest, objective news! And you won't be afraid of progressive points of view like you are now.
