Geraldo Won't Shake "Shameful" "Hate-Monger" Lou Dobbs' Hand

Geraldo Rivera appeared on "The View" today to promote his new book, His Panic, which prompted a discussion of how Americans fear immigrants. He explained that this fear is "a nativist reaction that started at the grassroots" and that it is "driven by the most savage talk radio campaign in history." When asked to name names, Geraldo targeted Rush Limbaugh and Lou Dobbs (who, incidentally, makes his debut as a talk radio host today).

"Lou Dobbs of CNN has been shameful in his hate-mongering," Geraldo said. "I would not shake his hand because this is a man that's done more damage to the cause of sensibile, comprehensive reform than anyone with a microphone."

Can't reply to the post on Canada....but as a Canadian, we pandered to the French to try and keep our Country together.

For me, a Canadian Citizen, I would be all in favor of thoriwng out and Quebecois Sepratiste who did not wish to live in Caanda. I would have no problem if English was the main language as it is in 90% of the country.

When others speak of Europe and mulinguistic society's, you have to remember, by necessity, Euro's speak more the one language. Because they are so close together and families move between country's, aquiring a second or third language has been in practice for centuries.

1- Has any Latino ever committed a terrorist act against America?
2- Do you think it is a good idea to pass measures so draconian to prosecute employers, and catch undocumented workers, that the people here without visas fear engaging any emergency services, such as hospitals (so their children die) or police, (so they remain silent victims of crime)?
