Rezko Trial Begins Today

Antoin "Tony" Rezko is set to go on trial Monday, but the defense is expected at every opportunity to try to put his chief accuser on trial as well.

Prosecutors allege that Rezko misused the power he gained from his prowess as a fundraiser for Gov. Rod Blagojevich, scheming to extort kickbacks from firms seeking state business or regulatory approval. But Rezko's lawyers will attack the credibility of Stuart Levine, the government's key witness, questioning his memory of events because of his alleged heavy use of cocaine, crystal meth and other illegal drugs.

This story comes to mind -- when I read that surprise, surprise -- Rezko's trial came up today and tomorrow. Coincidence? I think not.

The trial was delayed on week because Tony Rezko had his bail revoked when the court learned of a large loan he received in secret. The Court thought he was a flight-risk. The Chicago Democratic political machine is corrupt. It's is also where Obama the politician was born, nurtured, raised and trained. Now, Obama has almost twenty years of Chicago politician training and knows where all the bodies are buried. Obama wisely, refuses to address Chicago/Illinois political corruption preferring to talk about any where but Chicago, Kenya for instance. When is Obama going to speak out against the corrupt Chicago political machine? And tell what he knows?

The real white elephant in the room is that $3.5 million loan that Rezko received from the middle east came from a Mr. Auchi a long time bagman for Saddam and one of the worlds richest men. This oil for food kick back money among other fraud deals (Auchi is convicted in France for fraud) helped Obama buy his Mansion. Rezko's wife bought the back yard of the mansion simultaneously so Obama could get the mansion. Rezko was according to court records supposed to be broke.

That is a completely illogical argument. Neither person is really the nominee until the Democratic Convention. You really think that if she bowed out on March 4th and something nasty came his way on March 6th she wouldn't just reopen her campaign? She's on the ballot in Pennsylvania regardless of whether she withdraws or not. If something doesn't come out of the Rezko trial by April 22nd I would say it's pretty safe to assume nothing is going to come out.

Is this coincidence? No I don't think so. It means that the Clinton political machine is pulling some strings behind the scenes and making this happen and the sheeple media is going with this story to help Clinton.

Al Gore needs to come out now and blunt the publicity, otherwise, if she wins in Ohio and Texas, because of this story, or because the negative ads have worked, it will be a long hard slog towards November. I'm beginning to get discouraged and demoralized and totally fed up with the Democratic party.

BTW: When is the media going to demand Clinton release those tax returns and the donors list to the foundation and library.

Uh, the trial was originally scheduled for Feb 25, so if anyone's pulling strings, it's Obama. I mean, HE would benefit most by having this trial not run concurrently with his campaign, and I suspect his narcissistic self thought he'd have the nomination all wrapped up before today.
