Rosie Slams Larry King Over Fran Drescher Interview: Retire Already!

Rosie O'Donnell is lashing out against Larry King for mocking friend — and future co-star — Fran Drescher on Friday night's "Larry King Live."

On Friday, Larry King mocked Drescher for breaking into Spanish for an appeal to Latino voters on behalf of Hillary Clinton, asking Drescher, "What are you doing?" (watch video of that encounter here). Over the weekend, Rosie, who is reportedly working on a sitcom with Drescher, took to her blog to slam King, writing, "It's getting tough 2 watch" and polling her audience as to whether King should retire (88 percent said yes).

This is not the first time Rosie has denounced King on her blog. Last May, after King hosted Rosie-rival Donald Trump and allowed him to insult her, Rosie wrote that she "never had any [respect]" for King in the first place.

Below, video of Rosie and Fran from a recent entry on Rosie's blog, where the rumors of their upcoming show together first surfaced:

It's amazing anyone can get a word in edgewise when Drescher is talking. She either interrupts, keeps talking on and on and on, or both.

Larry King is getting worse and worse...He talks over his guests as if he doesn't care what they have to say. Is he hard of hearing?. Most of the time he seems out of it or senile, not getting what is even being said. He gives you the creeps to look at him. I watch his show to see the quests, not him. Sometimes his guests even get to finish a thought or sentence. I have noticed lately he is really mean and insulting to women. Tonight, he snapped at Katrina Vanden Heuvel "wait your turn until I call on You"., as well as, not being able to pronounce her name correctly...He hardly ever did call on her cause he was busy licking Ari Fleisher ass.
Why can't people retire BEFORE they are asked to? Go out gracefully with a little class.

the only thing larry king is still good for is being a schill for the republicans, and he has about gotten too feeble for that

Larry King is past his prime, if he ever had one. His lame-ass needs to retire. I was through with him when he recently asked Stephanie Miller, "Why arent' you married?" You absolutely never ask a woman past thirty that question.

If phlegm had a human form, it'd be Larry King.
I bet he smells like formaldehyde and cigar butts.

I always imagined ben-gay and pall malls. And can someone give him a sandwhich, he looks anorexic.

I watched that interview, and although I am not a past "fan" of Drescher (I have not ever watched her before) I found her to be bright, capable, and articulate. She acquitted herself well during the broadcast, and she made the points that she wanted to make. Furthermore, I did not find King's comments to be insulting, as it was a bit of a (pleasant) surprise to hear Drescher responding in Spanish, and I am certain that he was as surprised as his audience was to hear her responding in that fashion. That is a good thing; people, including hosts should be surprised once in a while, and they should be allowed to express that surprise. Finally, King might have his detractors but he still puts on a very popular program, so why he or the network should consider his retirement makes no sense to me. For Gawd sakes everybody, there is a reason why televisions come with channel selectors and "off" buttons.

I like Rosie, she's like a Lee J. Cobb type character to me, tough as nails. She uses words not her fist and she doesn't necessarily cause the fruckus she just responds to it in a timely manner. I like the cut of her jib and LK was out of line. Fran again did nothing wrong she voiced her opinion in another language and that scares some people. Its' a show about opinions and so what if a guest says she likes Hillary without being asked the question first. Oh these people with all their hate and foul language can't seem to deal with this simple discourse. BTW was a winner ever declared in the Trump vs Rosie thrilla in Manilla or where ever?

Rosie, I'm sure you meant well, but let's be realistic. There are very few people on this earth who are exempt from having mocked, belittled or spoken poorly about someone. As a matter-of-fact, I just mocked my brother a couple of hours ago. But he deserved it.

When I was in high school, I was diagnosed with Diabetes. And one day, while other students looked on, a group of girls threw some cookies at me, yelling, "You can't have these!" I was able to overcome the humility and hurt, and I'm sure Fran will be fine, too.

And a word of advice: If it's "It's getting tough 2 watch," don't watch.

Looking forward to your sitcom!

I've believed Larry King has been on air waaaaay past his sell by date for some time. I stopped watching his show altogether ages ago because it was just so uncomfortable to watch with his constant stream of asinine, out of touch, ill-informed and often flat out rude and obnoxious questions. And heaven forbid they put him on after some real tragedy speaking with survivors and/or grieving family members and we have to watch their discomfort and confusion as he asks one tactless, inappropriate or bizarrely inane question after another.

I didn't have to see the Drescher interview to agree wholeheartedly with Rosie that he needs to retire before he embarrasses himself any further.

If Larry King interviewed Osama Bin Forgotton the first question he would ask: did you have a nice trip over? He needs to retire and from my point of view, is a terrible interviewer.

How about in the spirit of a hostage exchange, they both retire? (The hostages being us, and those two nuisances being what we're freed of.)

I thought it was an insult that Fran Drescher was plugging Hillary Clinton in Spanish on the man's show. If they were watching CNN, then my hope is that they Comprender Ingles!
I am positive no one on Univision rants in English.

Larry did nothing wrong and it is his friggin show!

Funny how desperate Hillary and her lASSES have become that they have turned on the guy with the most experience!

Rosie is a BULLY. Poor Fran doesn't know what she is getting into.

Want to see what a Hillary Presidency is going to be, see how Rosie Magazine went. The infighting, her tantrums, and her bullying brought down the Company. She never learns, and has run out of her company, her shows, etc. And pay attention to how when she gets called on it - she is the VICTIM and it is somone elses fault. She needs to be a fighter, blah blah blah. Sound familiar. It is a sad PATTERN.

You go, Rosie. You're a strong women which means there are going to be very many people threatened by you. That's their problem, not yours. I happen to agree with much of what you say and so do many others. Your naysayers' adult response is that you're fat. Great - we're nine years old again.
