Simon Cowell's Viagra Insult

From the NY Post:

A highly offended Simon Cowell says he turned down $2 million to become the British spokesman for Viagra.

"Last year my agent rang me and said, 'You've been offered an incredibly big million-pound deal. It's to be the face of Viagra,' " Cowell told the British edition of Glamour magazine.

"And I just said, 'Sorry, but that has to be a f - - - - - - insult.' "

While vanity may have cost him the lucrative ad deal, it didn't stop the 48-year-old TV star from admitting that he wears platform shoes to make him appear taller and that he has used Botox.

Meanwhile, Cowell's longtime girlfriend, "Extra" correspondent Terri Seymour, shouldn't be expecting an engagement ring - ever:

The music mogul said his partner of five years was "great" but admitted the concept of marriage in the entertainment industry was a scary and unrealistic one.

"I don't believe in marriage, certainly not in this business," the 48-year-old told the Mirror.

"The truth is that you get married and in a year or two they clean you out! It's just not going to work.

"I know a lot of people going through divorces now and once the lawyers get involved it starts to get nasty."

The missus and I never watched American Idol because we were too hip & cool to be bothered with that sort of thing.

We picked up on it last year almost by accident, and now we watch every show. It's excellent entertainment; it has plot, suspense, drama, heroes and villains... and all this is woven around amazing young talent on the best musical variety show since Ed Sullivan.

Do we have new comments rules in play? My comment above has received two replies plus one repost from me. All have been removed. And then the above comment by "FailureBush" is still displayed, even though it features words such as "fuck", "Fucking" "shit", "douchebag" and "faggot."

I suppose all that is fine, but I'm having trouble figuring out the new guidelines. I'm probably not alone.
