Clinton Stay

Hillary Clinton continued her heated attacks against frontrunner Obama, claiming that the likely Repubican nominee John McCain has more experience than the Illinois senator. Hillary told reporters yesterday:

"I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

Keith Olbermann was less than pleased with the attack that would surely return in a McCain-Obama general election, calling the statement, "unbelievable."

Hillary said she and McCain had a lifetime of experience. They have. She didn't say that McCain's experience produced GOOD results. Wasn't it Obama who said that in the past 25 years only a Republican President had ideas and not a Democratic President?

With McCain's lifetime of experience and Obama's 2002 speech and Obama's empty chair in the Afghanistan oversight committee, failure to vote on Kyle-Leberman, and consistant voting with Clinton on war support would have left Obama with little to say, little to rest on, little with which to fight.

Or, to summarize, Obama has very little foreign policy experience of either sort and McCain has a lot of foreign policy experience of many sorts.

Gee, and THAT type of experience has gotten us really far! Yay for experience.

If we value experience over change, our future will continue to mirror the past.

Its time we implement change to create a NEW experience for the American people--and, with great hope, the people of the world. The road to that is sound judgment and willingness to take a new approach to solving old problems--not just utilizing the same experience to yield the same result.

In some ways she's right -but that could cut two ways, several presidents have been elected exactly on their lack experience in politics , which is seen as experience in corruption, ,deceit . hypocrisy and manipulation of the populace. She may have handed Obama his best weapon.

Damn that pesky Obama! The guy just wandered into the Senate one day when nobody was looking, hid in the back row, and now he might be President. Thank God we have Hillary to protect us with her 35 years of experience! I don't really know what that experience is, but I know it has something to with "fighting" and women and children. Hillary's too nice to burden us with having to read through all her records, so I'm not really sure.

HILLARY! YOU DO NOT HAVE 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE!
And even if you did, McCain would still have more than you!
Obama has served longer in elective office than she has. Being married to somebody doesn't mean you inherit their job experience.

I have no problem with Hillary Clinton pointing out that Obama has a lack of experience...

Look closely people, Obama is a skilled academic but he just doesnt have the skills for this job.

We need someone who has a track record of getting things done, the Clintons have demonstrated that.

We need someone that allready has a good reputation with the rest of the world...

The U. S had the best economy that we have had in the last fifty years under Clinton leadership.

America can only have a strong leadership presence if our economy is strong, this effects the respect that we command in the rest of the world. We have to start setting an example again, for being smart business people and strong on our security.

If our economy is strong again, which is a pathetic mess under our current president most of our problems will take care of itself.

Obama is an idealist and we can all appreciate that, we need optimism but this is time for results and we dont have alot of time to waste.

We need to educate our children so we dont fall further behind the rest of the world, we all need to be more productive and save more and invest more so our children have a brighter future.

Lets all stop being so addicted to fads and concentrate on things of substance, our families future are the most important.

Vote for Hillary, and we will have the best chance for solving the challenges that all of us americans face !!!!!!

Substance always trumps good intentions. Faith without works is dead !!!!

I'm dropping the hammer on the notion the Clintons created the "best economy" in 50 years.

That superb economy during the Clinton was largely the result of the cold war surplus - thank the Republicans for that since Reagan led the way to accelerating the decline of the USSR; Bush & Cheney + congress redid DOD manning and war planning approach (the whole BS that Clinton was responsible for the depleted is military is as valid as Clinton responsible for the great economy).

I give credit to Clinton along with a Republican congress for balanced budgets and surplus that kept the dollar strong, encouraging investment to spur the economic growth. Before the Republican congress - even with the war surplus the Democratic government majority was ineffective - thought no where near the disaster of the Republican majority leadership until the change two years ago.

This is a punt issue and if you really think that Hillary with her all about me (proved by this non-sense) approach can achieve a balance the way her husband did to some extent you are sadly delusional.

The problems we face requires a coalition - not a self centered person whose entire foundation is based on her husband political success; much of which is really attributable to George H Bush.

If Bush sr had won the 92 elections, which should have been easy considering Bill's penchant for screwing around and well documented to anyone living in Arkansas in the 80's; but for some reason never surfaced with glue until Monica and the 'vast right wing conspiracy'.

Check the facts, see the game because what you may think is is, ain't necessarily so.

Obama is the only one with the vision to try and unite the nation - the rest, including Hillary are more of the same.

the results of the mid - late 1990's would have been essentially the same.

Why does everybody think that Obama is some kind of extra special person?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:40 AM on 03/05/2008

Yeah, and if all the cards are played right, we'll get a candidate with experience - John McCain.

Problem is Hillary, John has MORE experience than you, your Highness.

I guess Hillary is out to totally bury Obama before she bows out - if she bows out. She is out to destroy the Democratic Party at this point to the satisfaction of her monumental ego. The Clintons think they are entitled to lead this country and nothing will stand in their way.

For the last ten days Hillary has run a purely negative campaign. I thought we wanted to get rid of that kind of politics this time around. Guess not.

Substance? Like pushing for a constitutional amendment against flag burning? Promoting an insurance company's dream of government enforced profiteering instead of real universal health care? Like claiming that being first lady is some sort of "experience" that adds up (somehow) to 35 years.

I think Hillary had a makeover because she is looking much better. I think she softened her tone and is winning over more white male voters who now find her sexually attractive. Naomi Wolf tried to make Gore an Alpha male but Hillary, to some, is becoming a babe. More white men are finding her more sexually desireable.

If Clinton were to continue on and carry on a productive debate, I would have no problem with her continuing in the race, no matter how slim her chances.

For her to act as Karl Rove's mouthpiece and slander the likely nominee of the party is unconscionable. Democrats need to tell her loud and clear that endorsing McCain over Obama is not what someone who wants to represent the Democratic Party.

She has just entered Joe Lieberman territory. Do you think McCain will invite her to speak at the GOP Convention?

They don't play nice in Chicago politics and its' always been business as usual. When are people going to stop acting like fans and realize that any one person no matter who they are can not have as great an effect on Washington politics as many "believers" seems to think they can. I want democracy to rule the day and not get swooped up into the election raz a ma taz. Anybody remember how GW was going to change things in Washington? He didn't change anything except for the executive branch being turned into a dictatorship.

Let the canidates fight it out, God blessem for trying!

Stay involved, learn how to give your opinion in an atmosphere of goodwill to find solutions to problems. Lets continue to talk things out and do it in a civilized manner. Read more! Less TV!
Lets repair the damage and work towards uniting this country once again except for the republicans, lets ride them out on a rail!

Yeah Vermont! Did you hear the news?

Hillary,

I'll bet that I have more experience than you. I've roped more calves, picked more cotton, cut more wheat, shucked more corn, carried more stuff on docks, handled more crates, spent more time in the army, driven more miles in more trucks, sold more goods in a store, studies more science and taught more, and made more beer and wine, and probably drunk more But I never was married to a president, and never learned to enjoy downright dirty politics. I never voted for a needless war, never put false ads out on the radio and TV. And I never failed a bar exam. I am quite a bit older than you so I've seen more days go by. I've seen more change because of that.
I don't think I'd be the best president because of my varied experience, and I don't think yours make you the best choice either.

McCain is 72 years old. I should hope he has more experience.

He has also shown poor judgment with his family, his business relationships (Charles Keating), his legislation (McCain-Feingold) and his own campaign.

Bad experience does not qualify one for the job.

"Bad experience does not qualify one for the job."

Hillary thinks length of service equals quality of service - and so do her supporters.

The fact that Hlllary wouldn't want to talk with enemies is good for us as evident by this absolutely boneheaded statement!

That 3:00 am phone call yeah right! She'd be giving up battle-plans and technology secrets to our enemies - oh wait the Clintons already did that with the Chinese.

Shooting down missiles like the best of us....

How come no one has asked Hillary about Bill's "foreign policy" expperience when he was running for president??? What did he bring to it as Governor of Arkansas?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:44 PM on 03/04/2008

It was raised - George H Bush lost on the perception of a recession and few other insensitive remarks in reference to Hurricane Andrew.

He also didn't use the same tactics he used against Dukaki; while Clinton played on economic policies.

There's also a very strong supported "rumor" that both the Bush's and Clinton have been partners with power division while they sell the country out to globalization. All the evidence supports the rumor, and the public displays exist to distract us from the game.

The US has become one cheap "buy" thanks to globalization and Bush's (W) revenue busting war and extensive spending.

Both Bush's and Clintons have done a great job of setting the stage for the world's next superpower - China, who now owns us.

I think he's rooting for any Democrat. If you are trying to win your party's nomination, you don't do it by claiming that your rival Democratic candidate is not as good as the Republican nominee!!!! What is she thinking?

She gives a whole new meaning to "by any means necessary".

Hillary's ad about the 3:00 a.m. telephone call is over the top. Judging from her authorization for the use of force and her comments on the actions of Columbia, it seems obvious that Hillary will use the military to solve every perceived problem. Her use of fear disgusts me. She is using McCain as a campaign prop. She belongs to an entrenched political class that has profitted at the expense of the middle class with deregulation leading to the subprrrime mess and excessive militarissm for commercial gain.

The only "crisis" would be a capture of a school by terrorists. The kids are not in school at that hour. Biological attacks - what would she do? It is all fear-mongering. She is making McCain's case for him. She refuses to lose to an upstart. She cannot cite a single example of her combat experience or her executive experience, yet she challenges Obama on same. He has more experience thatn Bill Clinton when he became president.

This woman will get McCain elected in her blind ambititon. I wish that Mark Penn would go back to rigging elections in Banana Republics and that the Clintons would trust the voters to make a choice based on their higher powers, not the reptilian brains of middle aged women's fears in the middle of the night. It's 3:00 a. m. - do you know where your husband is?
