Clinton Stay

Hillary Clinton continued her heated attacks against frontrunner Obama, claiming that the likely Repubican nominee John McCain has more experience than the Illinois senator. Hillary told reporters yesterday:

"I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

Keith Olbermann was less than pleased with the attack that would surely return in a McCain-Obama general election, calling the statement, "unbelievable."

Well hillary, you just convinced me that I should vote for McCain; since he has more experience than you

Hillary: McCain and I have a lifetime of experience!

Me: OK Hill, you convinced me, and since his is a lot longer than yours, I'm off to vote for McCain...

Hillary: No,no! Not what I meant! The QUALITY of the experience is what matters!

Me: OK Hill, you convinced me, I'm off to vote for Obama...

Hillary: SHAME ON YOU! I REJECT AND DENOUNCE YOU! (hissy fit and exit stage RIGHT)

That is exactly the "logic" of her remark. I will support whomever wins, as I cannot take another Republican President. That said, I am totally ashamed of Hillary (where's Rodham these days?) Clinton. It seem to me that the years of being abused, disrespected, and insulted have worn on her. Not to mention what the right-wing smear machine has done to her!
Hillary supporters, please, show more class than your candidate has and fess up: this was a stupid, stupid thing to say.

The Clinton machine is like an old VW bus. The red light's flashing, but it will go down the road a bit before it blows up.

Her comment, which raises McCain above Obama, isn't just an attempt to throw him under the bus. She wants him to sit in the back of the bus first.

Shame on the Clinton campaign for running the dirtiest Democratic Primary effort that I can remember.

Come on Texas and Ohio! Please, show that the old politics of "they'll believe anything we tell them" doesn't stand up any more.

it's laughable that you think the clinton's have run a dirty campaign. just wait til this pussy obama see's what a smear job really is. he's a fraud and a joke. and the repukes will destroy him.

do you think he's off limits just because he's half black? grow up. he's dead meat once the repubs go after him.

It would be interesting (but hopefully not happening) to see HRC and McCain against each other in the general election. Swiftboaters would look like Boy Scouts on a canoe trip compared to the trash those two's campaigns would throw at each other.

It's sad that you don't think the Clinton's have run a very questionable campaign. Guess your definition of "dirty" is much different than mine and a lot of other voters HRC's campaign antics have turned off.

Even if Obama turns up dead meat to the Republicans, he's still a heck of a lot more acceptable as a real change candidate than the Clinton's ever will be.

" just wait til this pussy obama see's what a smear job really is"...
Nice way to condone smear tactics!

"do you think he's off limits just because he's half black"...
I don't know how to respond to you, because I did not make this claim. Should he be "half" off limits?

"grow up"...
I obviously have. You?

"dead meat "...
Nice talk.

Obama has the Clinton machine mechanics on board as his advisors. What does that say about him?

Thanks for pointing that out!

Settling some old scores. Many former Clinton aides and advisors do not like Bill or Hillary Clinton. This is why you see such a split in the Dem. party establishment. They don't want another round of the Clintons either.

If only McCain would take her on as his running mate... I'd have the pleasure of voting against her TWICE! Goldwater made her, the Republicans can HAVE her.

I’m beginning to understand why HRC supporters say that if she’s not nominated they will vote for McCain, they’re all right wing.

No, HRC supporters don't say that. Like Hillary, they say they will support the Dem nominee. It's you, the Obamatons that say they will vote for McCain. Gee, are you that gaga over the guy that you can't even think straight? Sit down, drink a glass of water and breath.

Quarter of Clinton supporters would vote McCain over Obama

Interesting result from a recent survey conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press: If their favored candidate is not the Democratic nominee, a quarter of Hillary Clinton's primary supporters would defect and vote for John McCain in November, while only 10 percent of Barack Obama's supporters would do the same.

I really hate it when she says things like this and it makes me dislike her intensely. To compare Obama to McCain and insinuate that McCain is the better choice ought to get her thrown out of the party.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:24 PM on 03/04/2008

Agree completely.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:55 PM on 03/04/2008

She didn't say "better choice". And someone, like Hillary, who will vote for, campaign for and raise money for the Dem nominee is more of a Dem than you guys who say they will vote for McCain if she is the nominee and trash her like this.

It is possible to be for someone without dishing out the hate that is on these blogs. But that would indicate a person was intelligent enough to hold two thoughts at the same time. I did not agree with most of what William F. Buckley believed in but I respected him for his brilliant mind, his way with words, his wicked sense of humor and his graciousness -- something that is totally lacking in Obama and Michelle and double for supporters like these on the blogs. Shame on you.

At least now we know who's side she's really on.

As much as I dislike Hillary Clinton right now, I'll vote for her if she steals (through lies, innuendo and Florida & Michigan) this nomination. I'm a big picture person, and I know she'll do better for the country than McCain. All I can think about is Iran and the fact that McCain guarantees it is frightening.

Hillary will be even more likely than McCain to bomb Iran. AIPAC (American Israeli Political Action Committee) raised a huge portion of the money to seed her campaign. Add to that she'll want to prove she has "Balls".

Only a man would write something as stupid as "she'll want to prove she has 'Balls.'" Women don't go to war over testosterone charged issues. And further, you've proved yourself a chauvinist by referring to "balls" with a capital "B," indicating you somehow think the word needs to be elevated to a superior Capital status.

Take all the "experience" the Clinton(s) and McCain has and it doesn't measure up to the sound judgment Barack Obama has had on the Iraq war. We really need somebody who has lived outside the United States (even for a short time) to understand what the world is like.

McCain has more experience than Obama, with a statement like this, Hillary could go right into campaigning for John McCain without missing a beat. Maybe Hillary may consider switching parties, many democrats have, she well may.

For a Wellesley graduate she sure is doing a great job of acting like Arkansas white trash. It's actually a little frightening to imagine her leading the country with clearly no ability to control herself. It could also be her lashing out at the reality of the delegate math that she is now facing. Even if tonight turns out to be a good night for her and she carries that momentum through to the convention, it is next to impossible for her to erase Obama's lead. She would have been wise to take the high road. But instead she is joining Bill Clinton in destroying any political clout that they had before South Carolina.
The last thing this country wants right now is another president to be disappointed in. We've been Bushed enough, why would we want to elect another candidate that is so angry and negative all the time?

I just read a very interesting article in Newsweek. It seems even if Hillary wins the next 16 states in a row (unlikely), she still cannot overturn Obama's pledged delegate lead, unless she wins by massive landslides in almost every state (very unlikely), so the only way she can win the nomination is to get the superdelegates to go against the will of the voters, which I don't think will happen and if it did will lead to civil war in the Democratic party.

All those high priced consultants of hers are running her campaign as long as possible before admitting defeat because they're, well, high priced consultants and have to show something for their exorbitant fees.

In the meantime they all continue to do incredible damage to the party's inevitable eventual nominee.. Senator Barack Obama..

Check out this very interesting and important article here...

hillary's job for 35 years has been to trash the women that Bill Clinton had affairs with.

This is the touted experience that she brings to the table and I find it vomit inducing.

It really saddens me that sleazy politics still works in America

This one comment alone has turned me off to Hillary for the rest of the campaign. If she is the nominee, I vote for Nader. She's stabbed the Democratic Party in the back with this comment. Well she'll have to go for it without this stalwart Democrat. I'm finished with Hillary. I suspect I'm not alone.

It doesn't matter if she actually wins all four primaries today. She's now pissed off some important people in the party. The super delegate floodgates will open and she'll be through. And yes, I am now one of those who will be staying home in November if she's our nominee.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:47 PM on 03/04/2008

I can say as a matter of fact now that I, a lifelong democrat, will stay home in November should Hillary get the nomination.
