Limbaugh Curious George

Political Radar:

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh issued an on-air apology to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., today after a caller said her daughter thought the Democratic presidential frontrunner looked like the cartoon character Curious George, a monkey.

Limbaugh, who laughed at the caller's comments, later apologized explaining he didn't know anything about Curious George.

All RepubliCONs support Clinton, if she is the democratic nominee McCain may win.
If Obama is the Nominee McCain will lose without question.
Hillary will bring out Republican voters in droves, and Obama can win Red States that Clinton cannot win.
For a democratic president, VOTE OBAMA

Were you to add together the individual IQ numbers of all Limp-bough's listeners, they STILL wouldn't rate high enough for Mensa.

Should that happen, they would be handing him the White House on a silver platter.

The backlash would be enormous.

Oh please, no one said anything was racist when they said the same about Bush! Get over it, if the sock monkey fits.............

It's interesting how he apologized to both Obama and McCain. McCain has no personal investment in the caller's response -- whether he'd be offended or not would be irrelevant. It seems to have been a way of demeaning Obama while appearing to apologize.

Some what off topic here but I thought this was a great idea from a poster on this site. It's already obvious the Rush pigs will being using Sen. Obama's middle name to scare stupid people. She suggested we do the following:

1. When ending our posts let's all sign off with Barack "Who's sane" Obama. LOL

1. And to remind people that McCain is a clone of Bush and his policies - so we should refer to him as McBush.

Barack "Who's sane" Obama 08!!

Oh, and by the way, the best thing to happen to Obama WOULD be if Rush Limbaugh came out and called him a racial slur. I mean, seriously, don't you think that would basically generate so much overwhelming sympathy for Barack Obama? Make him look like Martin Luther King overcoming institutionalized racism?

Maybe it's just me but that's how I see it. It's not as if people who respond positively to racial slurs were going to vote for a black man anyway, right? I would laugh my ass off if the Repubicans actually tried to use race as an issue in this debate. I hope people in more racist states will put voice-recorders on their phones so they can catch any of these political callers that ring them up and try to convince them to vote McCain because Obama is a (insert favorite racial slur). Seriously, someone should see that that gets done.

Dream on (and stop projecting). It's your Queen of Sleeze who is photoshopping the Obamamessiah.

Horrible, sad, pathetic. . . . but then again how many of us said George Bush looks like a monkey?

Well, he does! I mean it's only fair to point out how many people said Bush looks like a chimp, and Dick Cheney looks like Dr. Evil. Or that John Kerry has a horse face.

I mean I don't think Barack looks like a Chimp, much less curious George. It could be that this lady or her kid is racist, I don't know, but to compare someone to a monkey is nothing new in politics, lets be honest.

What did the caller look like? Unless we can see, the caller has no right saying such a thing.

It would seem, also, that we elected a president on the basis of his appearance, his charisma, and he turned out to be an idiot! We can only hope and pray that this time we get it right, and vote on the basis of what we feel this man can do to restore America's economy and reputation. Basically, we need someone that can undo all the damage that Limbaugh's favorites have inflicted upon this country and the world.

"...that this time we get it right, and vote on the basis of what we feel this man can do to restore America's economy and reputation."

So okay, it is either is apparently going to be McCain or Obama but am guessing from what the post is about you mean Obama when you say "this man."

Frankly I am supporting the woman candidate. Men have screwed things up enough for this country time to let a woman straighten things out. Oh, and if Sen. Clinton is not the nominee I will crawl back to my republican party and reluctantly vote for McCain.

A Limbaugh caller expressing ignorance and racism? Shocked, I am shocked!!! And we are talking about the same raido host who made an icnredibly distasteful "joke" about Chelsea Clinton's appearances.

I was talking with some friends the other day. The republicans have never been particularly known for the kind-heartedness and wisdom, but we were wondering when they simply became cruel, mean-spirited and corrupt. We agreed it started with "The Reagan Revolution" where we had this seemingly kind-hearted, no nonsense president who was actually totally vaccuous and who surrounded himself with extremely power-hungry, corrupt bureaucrats. During Reagan's tenure, it some became okay to be openly greedy, corrupt, and just plain cruel. Of course, W. has taken it to a new level, our little would-be dictator has. Think about it--Watergate happens today? It doesn't even create a ripple. Bush et al. would just intimidate or hush-up anybody that knew anything and it would blow over. One of the great myths the republican party has been so successful in spreading is that they are somehow a party of morals. It says a lot about the levels of morality and spirituality (not to mention cultural ignorance) in this country that so many people would buy into this garbage despite all evidence to the contrary. I know some very nice people who support our Chimp-in-Chief, but there is no way they would have, say, somebody like karl rove or rush limbaugh as a friend if they was pulling the same shit in their lives as they do routinely every day. How people can disconnect in the face of all this mean-spiritedness and war mongering is beyond me. Check out the expressions on republican's faces when you bring up the rather eyebrow-raising fact that nearly a million people have been killed in Iraq since the war started. A disconnect happens. Because it's Iraqi's or "terrorists" or brown skinned people (take your pick) they can somehow de-personalize this loss of human life, dismissing it as collateral damage. I would love to ship all the supporters of this war to Iraqi hospitals so they could experience the real aftermath.

Early on in the war, I remember a black congressman suggesting we reinstitute the draft. More and more I think this was a good idea. As long as there's no draft, the right will continue to get away with what they're doing without fear of protest. If you look at the list of the true war mongers here, the one's that planned and started the war, very, very few have served any military time at all.

Support our troops--bring 'em home.

The bigger story is how Limbaugh wants everyone to vote for HRC instead of Obama. The Corpulent Commentator is aware of what all dems should realize...HRC is doing the Republicans job for them and will be much easier for McCain to beat in November. VOTE OBAMA 08!!!
08:15 PM on 03/04/2008
Disagree. I think Sen. Clinton is doing the media's job for them. Our corporate media should have been looking at Sen. Obama several months ago instead of fawning over him. I know I am not about to vote for him just because he sounds good. I want to know about his background (other than public record votes). The republicans would have eventually gotten around to doing the job the media should have already done but by then the democrats would have made their decision as to democratic party nominee. Kind of amazes me how Sen. Obama's followers know everthing about Sen. Clinton but very little about Sen. Obama other than he stands for hope and change and have hooked their wagon to his star.

Guess I should not be overly concerned since I am a life-long registered republican (age 66) who being fed up with the past seven years thought I would vote for a democratic president. So I have been supporting Sen. Clinton. And by the way, I was doing this before those republican talking heads brought up the voting for Sen. Clinton thing. I have contributed to her campaign and since I am a registered republican in a closed primary state, I cannot caucus for her.

So as I have said in other posts, if Sen. Clinton is not the democratic nominee and it is a McCain/Obama contest, I vote for McCain (known over an unknown).

Anytime soemthing like this happens on a nutter show, Al Sharpton doesn't say a word. Probably because he's an FBI snitch.
