Mccain Lobbyists

Politico:

Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain has engaged a leading GOP lobbyist to coordinate his message and travel schedule with congressional Republicans -- the most concrete sign yet that the biggest battleground in the 2008 presidential race may not be Pennsylvania or Ohio or Florida's I-4 corridor but rather the floor of the United States Senate.

John Green, a founding partner of what is now Ogilvy Government Relations, will soon take a leave of absence from that firm to work as a full-time liaison between McCain's presidential campaign and Republicans in the House and the Senate, according to GOP aides on Capitol Hill and McCain surrogates downtown. Green, a Mississippi native, has strong ties in the Senate after his years of work for former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.), a vocal McCain supporter who left Congress late last year to set up his own lobbying shop.

Why isn't anyone pointing out the THOUSANDS that have died on both sides because Hillary Clinton and John McCain authorized the biggest blunder in American history by invading Iraq?

It's not just a VOTE them made - it's about what happened AFTER that vote!

"Lobbyist to Run McCain's Hill Effort" I guess this eventually had to come. Finally, in the name of efficiency, the lobbyists are cutting out the middle man in the legislative process.

YES, INDEED, ARIANNA, JOHN MCCAIN WAS DETESTED BY SO MANY OF HIS PARTY, BUT THE THING WHICH HAS UNITED THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AROUND HIM HAS BEEN THE ABILITY TO DEFEAT HILLARY AND/OR OBAMA, AND, HIS WAR SERVICE. DOES ANYONE THINK THE WAR LOVERS [ANY WAR WILL DO TO FATTEN THEIR PENSIONS THROUGH MILITARY INDUSTRY INVESTMENTS] WILL ALLOW JOHN MCCAIN TO STOP THE HEMORRHAGE OF US TAXPAYER MONIES INTO WAR[S] AFTER/IF MCCAIN WOULD BE ELECTED PRESIDENT ? !!

AMAZING HOW REPUBLICANS ARE SO FISCALLY PRUDENT ABOUT SPENDING TAXPAYER MONIES TO SUSTAIN THE POOR AS CHRIST INSTRUCTED, YET WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR PORTFOLIOS/MONEY THEY ARE STRANGELY SILENT ABOUT THE HARM DONE TO THE COUNTRY BY THE HEINOUS AMOUNT OF MONEYS FLUSHED INTO THE MILITARY INDUSTRY COMPLEX PIPELINES...DID NOT WISENHOWER WARN ALL ALL ALL AMERICANS AGAINST THIS DANGER WHICH COULD DESTROY US FUTURE AS IT DID TO EUROPEAN NATION STATES PRE- WWi WWii ???? !

Lobbyists have been very, very good to Senator McCain.

"The lavishly-furnished custom Boeing 727 airliner (727PX) which ferried Senator John McCain on four occasions during his Presidential run in 2000 also flew Saudi Royals out of the U.S. right after 9/11, carrying an entourage of Saudi Royals from Las Vegas to London six days after the 9/11 attack in a controversial operation later scrutinized by the 9/11 Commission."

Why not? McCain is already in bed with Haley Barbour, the porcine super-lobbyist and now-governor of Mississippi. McCain is the biggest hypocrite to ever run for president. He was against torturing before he was for it. He was for campaign finance reform before he was against it. During Prohibition, there were many that spoke of the evils of John Barleycorn and at the same time carried a hip flask. John McCain is of that ilk. Maverick my ass....

There's nothing wrong with lobbyists or lobbying. Lobbying the government is a constitutionally protected right.

There's nothing wrong with any profession. It all depends on your performance. And keeping your honor.

And almost all lobbyists are honest and ethical and perform their jobs in a completely legal and ethical manner. Sometimes, we should question is it the unethical lobbyist which makes the politician betray the public trust or is it the unethical politician.
