Mccain Bush

Despite rhetoric about tackling corruption in Washington, John McCain does not appear too eager to look into the current administration. When asked today about supporting independent investigations into the Bush administration, McCain replied:

"I do not agree with your sentiment that there has been widespread corruption. I just don't accept that. And by the way my friends do you think it would be nice if the President of the United States got a little bit of credit for the fact that there has not been another attack on the United States of America since 9-11? I think he deserves some credit for that. I really do."

It would appear that we have another delusional GOP lined up. Let's just work to see to it that the best person for the office is elected, and the one that doesn't appear to fit that bill is McCain.

Mccain is to be the GOP 2008 candidate??? Does Washington care that the rest of the world sees this news as well? Unbelievable....he should really just stop talking. george bush et al are world renowned criminals - now we have the rest of the world seeing that americans are voting for a candidate that makes statements such as these. McCain is an embarrassment and I dare the GOP to give him the nod.

This is great. More votes for the Dems. ^^

Well, yeah, that sucks-- but as several astute commenters have already noted, it's not like the Democrats are going to pursue bringing this foul and criminal maladministration to justice.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: If Hillary gets in, she'll simply update her hubby's "sensible" policy of declining to pursue icky loose ends in the name of forging comity and a bipartisan working relationship with as little cause for internecine friction as possible.

Obama will likewise circumvent a romp through the swamp by taking a faux-Lincolnesque rhetorical high road, disclaiming the pursuit of justice under the law in favor of his already-legendary penchant for reconciliation and post-partisanship. If you can't say something nice about the War Criminal-in-Chief, why say anything?

It smells an awful lot like honor among thieves. But the political class looks out for its own, and never more than among its depraved aristocracy.

I can hear it now, "my friends we must kiss the rod of power as I have in order to get the nomination, so I will not investigate, so let's go on over the cliff"

McCain is just as corrupt as the rest of the republicans. The [repug] party position seems to be cover up and move on. If the public were ever privy to the truth the repugnicans would be a party of the past, and perhaps many would be in jail (where they should be). Unfortunately, Mr McCain seems to be more interested in propagating lies of the past and covering King George's ass than in any real government reform like he is always pontificating about!

Fortunately for the US, McCain will never be our president. His day has passed and he has become delusional in the intoxication of war! It's just unfortunate that it's not the republicans alone that must live with the damage done to this economy and the reputation of America generally. One thing is for sure, to be a registered republican I think it's a requirement that you be ignorant, naive, racist, bigoted, self absorbed, and radical christian fundamentalist!! Wow, that's something to really be proud of, isn't it?

Ron Paul is a republican - and the only candidate that actually talks about truly-intended political reform. The majority of america has spoken and apparently can't be bothered to listen or even consider anyone or anything that is not spoon fed to them by the main stream media. The past 2 years of this election have been surreal. I reject ALL corporate sponsored candidates -I reject ALL candidates that tip-toe around Bush's crap. Evey pay stub I look at is a sickening reminder that Washington has turned all taxpayers into a slave for their war. Some argue that I will be throwing away my vote......but considering the elections in 2000, 2004, and the primaries in New Hampshire, Louisiana, and California this year -do you really think this election will be any different? The MSM have super-sized their election coverage and brainwashed us all into ignoring Iraq. It's not ok to ignore the fact that our government is avoiding this issue. McCain thinks Bush deserves credit? Seriously? This just proves how stupid they think we all are.

Everytime I hear one of these talking head say "Give Bush credit that we haven't been attacked since 9-11" I just want to puke. Okay how many years was it from the first world trade attack to the second? They are just not ready to. It has nothing to do with Bin Bush stopping attacks, he could have stopped 9-11 but he did not, he was briefed and took no action. As far as someone attacking us, hell why would they, Bin Bush has done a better job of destroying America and Killing Americans why would the other terrorist do anything to change that.

The questions they don't want to answer ares: who was president when 9/11/01 happened? Not Clinton. What SERIOUS response was given to the Presidential Daily Briefing: "bin laden determined to attack within the US"? Answer #1: the shrub; Answer #2: not one fucking thing.

Will someone please blow the shrub so we can impeach him?

in case you haven't figured it out yet, the dnc heirarchy, including bill and hillary clinton, is firmly in george bush and karl rove's pockets

pelosi couldn't get impeachment "off the table" fast enough

today, pelosi / reid & co. are giving bush everything he wants and needs to put the finishing touches on his illegal wiretapping operation and the telecom's immunity - they have consistently and totally (and willfully) failed in their duty to provide accountability and oversight to the bush white house

there has never been a proper and credible investigation into the events of 9/11 even though there is so much evidence which directly contradicts the phony cover-up which the democrats happily (and inexplicably) rubber stamped - the sham investigation never asked a question it didn't want an answer to, like WTC7, for instance

GEE !

REALLY ?

McCAIN IS PROMISING NO ACCOUNTABILITY (IN EFFECT, IMMUNITY) FOR THE CRIMINAL ACTS AND TREASON OF THE LAST 8 YEARS ?

If the American people were really insane mccain's "friends", he'd be the first one in line to investigate the untold number of crimes committed by the bush crime family. Instead, he promises more of the same. He backs the worst president in US history with the worst approval rating ever. Gee, sounds like a winning strate-ger-y to me. IDIOT.

This is what happens when an entire political party generalizes about The Others and ignores Truth.

Blind and dismissive.

Highly illogical, Cap'm

This comment right here is enough to make sure he only gets 38% of the popular vote in the general election. On the face of it, Bush is more worthy of impeachment than Nixon (if those missing emails and Scooter Libby info comes to light), and yet McCain is still humping his leg.
