Late Tuesday evening Sen. Barack Obama took a moment from waiting for election results to call Sen. John McCain and congratulate him on his Republican primary victory.

Hours later, Sen. Hillary Clinton, too, reached out to the GOP presidential candidate to offer him congratulations on his victorious campaign.

Obama's call, which was first reported by Marc Ambinder, was confirmed by Obama's spokesperson Bill Burton. Other news sources have confirmed Clinton's call as well.

"At 8:30 PM central from his hotel room in San Antonio, Senator Obama called McCain," wrote Burton. "He congratulated him on the campaign he's run and said he looked forward to running against him in the fall."

No word yet as to whether to Democratic primary results will support Obama's notion.

Barack Obama has no class and no savvy and that is why he is most likely to be indicted soon for doing business with Antoin "Tony" Rezko.
He is guilty by association with a criminal.

He should be in court soon.

Obama won't see him in the fall - sorry -
Clinton's claim to the nomination:
The race is tighter than many people believe. While Clinton has to continue to win many of the remaining pledged delegates to overtake Obama in that count - she only has to win about 53% of the vote to overtake him in the count that includes Florida.
If Clinton pulls ahead of Obama in this count, she could make a compelling moral claim on the nomination. First, as the popular vote winner, she is the rightful nominee of the party. She can remind super delegates that the last Democrat who won the nomination without a popular mandate was Hubert Humphrey in 1968. The debacle that followed convinced Democrats to open their process to the public. Nominating Obama would thus be inconsistent with the party's forty-year commitment to openness and inclusiveness. If we had the winner take all sytem like the GOP has in may of their states - Clinton would already be the nominee -
Clinton has won the largest AND the most industrial states - states we need in November -
The Super delegates should think twice before nominating an "unknown" as party nominee - and someone who has difficulty in the big states.
If Obama can't do better in the industrial states - McCain will zero in and take the election away from him. Super delegates are smarter than to let that happen - regardless of what the partisian posters on this site say.

Obama, in my opinion, is going to run as the presumptive nominee from now on. I expect to see him take on a more presidential posture from here on out. If he just stays positive and on message he'll pull it off.

If Hillary runs true to form, she won't call. The woman has no class.

She doesn't. she plains sucks. I don't know why she even ran. She's awful. Complete useless waste of time and energy in the Democratic party. Hasn't done anything, will never do anything. Is that the sentiment you want us to feel rinpochet? Glad to see how you treat women.
