Obama Darker

America Blog:

Via America Blog:

I went and got the original footage from the Clinton ad, and then compared it to 3 different video clips of the same debate from 3 different sources. I did this so as to take into account any editing, or quality issues, that might have accounted for Obama having darker skin in any particular video. None of the 3 video sources I found showed Obama nearly as black as the Hillary ad does. Click the image above to see a larger version. Look at his lips. Look at his eyebrows. Look at how the red MSNBC background has turned more purple. Clearly the image was darkened. The question is "why."

Make the comparison yourself:

One Kos diarist recalls the infamous O.J. Simpson cover on Time Magazine:

One of the first times I distinctly recall this issue being brought to the forefront was the Time Magazine cover picture of O.J. Simpson after his arrest. Time was heavily criticized for darkening the shade of Simpson's skin in the cover photograph.

Whether intentional or not, the message was that a darker skinned Mr. Simpson somehow was more threatening or frightening than a lighter skinned Juice.

Check out the original picture comparison:

I must say I have been laughing my ass off at all the attempts, real or imagined, to remind people that Barack Obama is not entirely white. I think most people figure that out when they see his face or name.

This is much about nothing. There have been several pictures the Obama camp has used about Hillary that were not flattering, but no one said anything about those.

This is yet another example of the Obama supporters trying to play the race card and insinuate that HRC is racist. Give me a break. HRC and Bill Clinton have done an enormous amoutnfor African American and Latinos and many other minority groups. They are not racist. Obama supporters should stop spreading lies.

Ummm... actually, I'd like to see proof of that. Because I don't ever recall the Obama campaign producing an ad that featured Hillary Clinton's photo. Proof please?

if shes the nominee, im voting for Nader. i know, i know...we have to worry about the Supreme Court and the Republican dream of boosting the Executive Branch's power, but i have a conscience. i cant vote for a person who A.) voted WITH Bush and Cheney for the war, B.) is a pathological liar ("I was named after Sir Edmund Hillary...right.), and C.) will do anything to win including allowing herself to be bought of by Big Business.

sure, Nader will take votes away from the Dems, and McCain is a horse biscuit, but Hillary is not getting my vote. i am a Consciencious Objector when it comes to Hillary. i vote my conscience, not my party.

How utterly silly. The entire *photo* is darkened and slightly altered in tint.

Is the Obama camp really going to accuse Clinton of racism again on a hyped issue?

Unbelievable....

she's gone to far this time. Just confirmed by her campaign that they darkened Obama's skin tone in their latest ad as part of a "normal production technique" yeah right. The kitchen sink includes the race card... Clintonesque to the nth degree. '''

This is the most ridiculous article ever. The worst case of "Clinton rules".

Color problems happen all the time when you take videos of videos. That this is being reported as a scheme by Clinton only shows you the media bias and the way people will grasp at any tiny thing and label it a Clinton scheme in order to tarnish her.

Example: Look at Obama's 3AM Ad, the colors are darker than Clintons. Does that mean Obama is trying to play the race card by making the children appear darker?

Gush! Obama supporters, get over it already. Your cult-like attitudes are getting scary.

Another Example:
Over the weekend Clinton said. As far AS FAR AS SHE KNOWS there is absolutely nothing on which to base a claim that Obama is not a Christian. Obama supporters start claiming she is covertly accusing him of being a muslim. If Obama's supporters had any brains, they would realize that a person can only make a statement about another person's faith based on their personal knowledge. Get it? You don't expect her to say she is absolutely certain that Obama is not a muslim, because she has no way to know that. Only Obama himself can answer that question for himself, not anyone else.

Nasty deliberate use of color "correction."

So much for the theory that Obama won't be able to counter the GOP slime machine in the GE. It appears that Hillary has borrowed it for the primaries.

The Clinton campaign may not be consistent with their message, but they are consistent when it comes to how they smear Obama. First, a surrogate says or does something. Then when they get caught, they apologize. Meanwhile, Clinton herself distances herself from whatever it is her surrogate is apologizing for pretending like she had nothing to do with it. The Clinton campaign, in their minds, is off the hook. Problem is whatever they said or did is now out there and has taken on a life of its own.

I have been shocked by the racist subtexts in Clinton's campaign. She is really selling her soul in her gluttonous pursuit of this nomination. More proof that power corrupts and is addictive. Hillary needs rehab.
