WASHINGTON — President Bush endorsed Republican nominee-in-waiting John McCain on Wednesday, two bitter rivals from the 2000 presidential race joining together now in hopes of preventing Democrats from winning the White House this fall.

"John showed incredible courage, strength of character and perseverance in order to get to this moment and that's exactly what we need in a president _ somebody who can handle the tough decisions, somebody who won't flinch in the face of danger," Bush said, appearing with McCain in the Rose Garden.

Bush's embrace of the Arizona senator as the party's next standard-bearer comes a day after McCain clinched the GOP nomination by getting the requisite 1,191 convention delegates. Republicans won't officially nominate McCain until early September at the GOP's national convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Bush and McCain's press conference was stranger than most, with Bush cutting off reporters and talking about how he's dealing with "the North Korean" and "the Iranian."

The Military-Industrial-Compliant Media Complex couldn't be happier about the possibility that McCain will be the next right-wing shameless flunkey in the White House and bring us the equivalent of a Puppet Bush Term III, and McCain himself flip-flopping and sucking up and pandering can hardly wait to get into office. It will be important to carefully consider the dictated choice of the Ultra-right ,quasi-fascist plutocrats of the lackey to run as the vice presidential candidate with McCain, whose age must be considered.

It is utterly incredible that McCain would grovel before the Puppet, whose thugs committed the political mayhem on him and his family members in South Carolina in 2000. McCain has turned his back on the slanders and libels on his family by his behavior. It speaks volumes about him.

The compliant media will spend hours on the reported chaos within the Clinton campaign, but will deliberately ignore the need to emphasize the fact that putting McCain into the White House will clearly result in a continuation of the Bush II Disaster that marks Bush as the worst President ever in the history of the United States. Below is a a column about McCain's pandering:

And while these 2 challenged humans were being accorded all due respect for their positions, reverence from the Corpse media, rush limbauge ( he doesn''t deserve the extra work to capitalize his name......)
delivered an insult far surpassing the remark that got Imus fired................
He said "Hillary CLinton, is now in the top position, one she is familiar with." And of course wolf, ( notice how W was calling for him) repeated it over & over in the Situation Room to make sure we all head it!
I am no prude, conservative or religious nut, and I voted for Obama in the caucus; But as a woman, I am offended beyond tolerance. This was MY MOMENT to throw the tea in the harbor. I am so sick of toerating these self satisfied, well paid pseudo journalists, soooooo boooooored, ANd soooooooo sick of paying a monthly fee for the PRIVILEDGE of seeing this crap ; ( I do it for LINK TV & CSPAN!)
Remember whenTV was free and we had real news by real news anchors? And Word play as entertainment. instead of nonverbal violence as entertainment! Remember Whats My Line, with that sophisticated verbally adept cast? "Is our childern learning/" NOPE!
Any way I called CNN in Altlanta and voiced my extreme indignation: "(It's not nice to smear Mother Nature") and they may have eased off rerunning rush's statement. ..............daytime shows will tell the tale & I am calling every Female Senator, rush's radio tation. BTW it is public stock; check your portfolio, do you own stock in rush's stations?? Are you enabling him?

Bush's luncheon menu choice, selected to honor John McCain's "victory," explains a great deal.

"Steamed hot dogs................................"

If McCain wins, we have only ourselves to blame. Regardless of who the Democratic candidate is, we have to encourage each other to get out and vote in record numbers. The bigger the turn out, the less chance the reBushlicans/republiCains can steal the election.

For those of us who are not enthusiastic about Hillary: do not protest by not voting, or voting for McCain. We have to always keep in mind that the next president will be selecting one to three Justices for the Supreme Court. Our freedoms and liberties are in jeopardy if we do not elect a Democratic president. So, if you have to hold your nose or hold your breath, we have to vote for Hillary if she is the nominee.

VOTE

I'm sorry, but I will not support any Chuck Schumer or Diane Feinstein. I have zero faith in Billary, their lobbyists and cronies. They blessed us with Muckasey and you want me to trust their selections for the Supreme Court? You want me to believe that Billary will do anything good for healthcare when they are the largest recipients of money from big pharma? You want me to believe they will restore America's dignity in the world when they didn't give a rat's ass about the genocide in Rwanda? When that happened and the phone rang at 3:00am in the WH the Clintons didn't do jack. 1 million people killed. 1 freaking million and the WH didn't do anything! As a matter of fact I think they didn't even bother releasing a simple statement. So how exactly is Clinton better than McCain? McCain is pro-choice and he believes climate change is real. He voted for the war but at least he puts his money where his mouth is. McCain has two sons in Iraq. Hillary voted for the war AND gave W a blank check to attack Iran. Where are the differences?

Mc Cain is not pulling the strings any more. It is laughable to say McCain is pro choice. He would choose the same lunatic actavist judges that Bush would. The same people that run the presidency now, the ones that have failed this country for the past 7 years, are pulling the strings for McCain. A vote for McCain is a vote for screw the people, war profiteering, republican power grab, corruption in our legal system. But most important, MCAIN IS WRONG ON THE WAR! They told us in year one "mission accomplished", that was a lie, year 2 "we are succeeeding", that was a lie, year 3 "making progress", that was a lie, year 4 "we are succeeding in Iraq", another lie, year 5 we are making progress, that was a lie, now they tell us that THIS time they REALLY mean it. THIS TIME ( when their own fate depends on it - as McCain himself said if he "can not CONVICE the people that we are winning in Iraq he can not win" ), But this time, this time, they are telling us the truth. You can vote for McCain or you could save time and shoot an American soldier yourself and save time and money, the results are the same.

And stop letting these pigs tell us the "war is nto a big issue in this election because it is going so well now" Do not let them get away with this BS, nothing has been accomplished in Iraq since they stumbled on Sadam in his spider hole.

POPULAR! i know about popular.
and with an assist from me,
to be who you'll be,
instead of dreary who you were...uh, are.
there's nothing that can stop you,
from becoming popular... lar...

la la, la la!
we're gonna make you pop-u-lar!

when i see depressing creatures,
with unprepossessing features,
i remind them on their own behalf
to - think - of
celebrated heads of state,
or specially great communicators!
did they have brains or knowledge?
don't make me laugh!

they were POPULAR!
please! it's all about popular.
it's not about aptitude,
it's the way you're viewed,
so it's very shrewd to be,
very very popular like ME!

America will never be ready for diapers in the Oval Office.Accepting an endorsement from a guy that embarrassed him and his whole family .then getting in bed with the Bible thumpers that he distanced himself from last go round shows a real flip flopper that'll do anything to get elected.Lucky for us and too bad for McKook that no Republican can win the White House this time around.I think they're just blind to the fact that the whole country is on to these scumbag criminals. With the Republican Congress set on protecting these criminals the last seven plus years they oughtta know they're going to pay a heavy price but nowhere near as heavy as the cost they foisted on all Americans, not just monetary losses, but reputation, trust, and friendships globally are all down the tubes.I guess in the end Bush was a uniter,he united all Americans to go vote and make sure no Republican will set foot in the Oval Office (except for visiting)for years to come.Being a member of the Republican party in this day and age is similar to being in the Klan in the fifties, barely acceptable..

The simplest way to say this is, if John McCain wins, America loses.

The rest of us? Would that be the 19% "rest of us" who think LHI Bushemada is doing a great job? The "vast" amoral minority? Speak for yourself...because you don't speak for anyone else, you shameless hypocrite. You might want to look up those two words, I'm thinking you and they haven't been introduced before. Funny too, that the likelihood of your being religious must be very high, and the stock and trade of religion is shame. Odd that people like you can feel no shame, for the needless deaths that this country has inflicted on a country that had NOTHING (spell it out...N...O...T...H...I...N...G) to do with 9/11.

With luck, if Mad Dog McCain, the Rapture Warrior, becomes President, we'll have war forever, just starting with the century of war he desires in Iraq. And torture will be commonplace everywhere, including your "fine" area of the country. This country is going to see an increase in torture related crimes, as a result of the Bushemada years, and the mind boggling number of US citizens who, as I'm sure you do, feel that torture's cool! Hey, Jack Bauer does it, so why don't we!?!?! Oh ya, he's a FICTIONAL character...dimwit.

He's not gonna win shit if the people say no...you don't get to choose George. Couple a nice dance steps there chimparoo...and that's what you've done for years. Just singing and dancin'. Take your little trumped-up rodeo buckle and your air medal for missions over Houston and feel real proud scumbag. You have snapped deefeet from the paws of deefeet. Since the rule of law is no barrier to you I feel particularly warm when I think about the fact that the law is making you leave after two terms. McClone isn't gonna pull it out. The people are wise to the devisiveness of the last eight years and they will vote democratic. Get nasty, you'll get nasty back. Try to dummy-up elections and we'll get a constitutional issue that will hang it all up. Before long the people will be in the streets sick and tired of the lies and deceipt. We want decency not depravity. But I do know Bush that if we got in the street you would be fully capable of showing just how repressive your "democracy" is.

Didn't see the tap dance until just now, but that Texas-by-way-of-Yale drawl was extra-thick today on NPR. I am going to dispute those who suspect W's back on the sauce: I think he's scarfing fistfuls of Xanax. His perennial sunniness in the face of the shitstorm he's created can only be pharmaceutically induced--not even HE can be so dense as to miss the depth and the intensity of the hatred so many good human beings have for him. Tranq him up, and he's the king of the worrrrrrrrrrrrllllllllllld!
