Clinton And Penn

Washington Post:

For the bruised and bitter staff around Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Tuesday's death-defying victories in the Democratic presidential primaries in Ohio and Texas proved sweet indeed. They savored their wins yesterday, plotted their next steps and indulged in a moment of optimism. "She won't be stopped," one aide crowed.

And then Clinton's advisers turned to their other goal: denying Mark Penn credit.

The only part of this story that hasn't already been extensively reported before is the fact that "Change you can Xerox" was ghostwritten.

I expect more professionalism from a campaign than this. If Hillary can't get her own team to reach across the table, treat each other with courtesy and respect, and agree to disagree, what kind of team will she assemble in her administration?
IMO, Penn and Ickes comments are demonstrative of their inherent bully tactics and Hillary eats this kind of nutty stuff up. It's who she is. She runs rough-shod over enemies, real or perceived. She won't unite this country. I shudder at the thought of Hillary High Drama for even 4 years.

Great explicatives, that is what many of us feel about the Clinton campaign.

Her delegating abilities are just great. When that phone rings at 3am , she will apparently delegate the decision to Penn, Carville and Emanuel.

I'm not sure I woukl like this team in the White House. It seems to me that with all the infighting, how would they manage to focus in on all the problems that this country is facing. Something to think about.

Hillary's potential administration sounds like Bush's present administration, and I've had enough of that. OBAMA 08!

And the only one taking these words at face value is Bill. Seems to be right up his alley!

It's all coming back to me now.

Reminiscent of the Clinton years in the W.H, so much darn drama, and the democrats lost the house and the senate.

Same old crap!

Mark Penn is the chief strategist? I thought he was the yard boy.

Oh no, wait...that was Monday's spin. Hillary has so many spins, it gets to be difficult to keep track of them all.

The Clinton campaign shows what a Clinton adminstration would be like. There would be endless fingerpointing and backbiting and memo leaking. As a result, very few, if any, of her solutions would actually get implemented.

I completely agree!

Hard to imagine Health Care OR anything else on her platform getting passed!

This is right! If she can't manage her people, how can she manage a White house Administration? This is real scary! These are the people who's going to help her decide what to do at 3 o"clock in the morning when a crisis hit the U.S.? Good grief, how will She get any thing done or bills passed when she can't even pick a campagne party group who can get along with each other. And when did Ken Star come back into view------------did I miss something? He is still a republican isn't he! Did Oboma hire him to make a hit on the Clintons------------or have they been smokeing something in that clinton camp they shouldn't be? that group of people in that clinton camp is getting crazier and more out ragouse every day! Are they that scared Of Obama? Surely not--------after all she says winning 3 states is more important than winning 12 states ina row! and goodness she did raise 35 million in Feb.---------oh I'm so sorry was just watching the news and it says Obama just made Presidential History here in the United states by raiseing a whooping 55 million dollars! WoW-------need we ask this man how he'll raise or find the money for his Health Care system----or question the corperation of the American people to help this man in any way they can? all I have to say is WOW--------------------There you go Obama!

I think Mark Penn needs some help from a professional. He really has a problem with his temper and acting like an adult.

She seems to have an unbelievable amount of self-control and restraint. There was that story about her hurling a lamp at her husband during the Monica crisis. Hey, I was impressed. I would probably have bashed him over the head with it. Or divorced the dog.

Like someone mentioned above, we DON'T need all the ridiculous drama and backbiting that is synonymous with the Clintons. Can you imagine another 4-8 years of that? And all the triangulation?

Hillary's "team" is right out of "The Fall of the Roman Empire". (Not to mention that clearly a faction of insiders have orchestrated leaking all this to the Washington Post in the hope of forcing out Penn. "Intrigue and Backstabbing Abound!"

Here's an exerpt, and what we can expect on a much grander scale if Clinton ever becomes President, "The depth of hostility toward Penn even in a time of triumph illustrates the combustible environment within the Clinton campaign, an operation where internal strife and warring camps have undercut a candidate once seemingly destined for the Democratic nomination."

Add in the warring staffs of Bill and Hillary and it sounds like a governing nightmare. This is the candidate of "leadership" and "35 years of experience"?
