Commander In Chief

The Swamp:

In a Cabinet-style setting, surrounded by retired military leaders, Sen. Hillary Clinton said the public should ask whether Democratic presidential rival Barack Obama has met the criteria needed to become the nation's commander in chief.

"I think that since we now know Sen. (John) McCain will be the nominee for the Republican Party, national security will be front and center in this election. We all know that. And I think it's imperative that each of us be able to demonstrate we can cross the commander-in-chief threshold," the New York senator told reporters crowded into an infant's bedroom-sized hotel conference room in Washington.

"I believe that I've done that. Certainly, Sen. McCain has done that and you'll have to ask Sen. Obama with respect to his candidacy," she said.

Basically Hillary has decided if she's going to lose, she'll take everyone down with her. This is the real Hillary for you. The woman with the crocodile tears in NH will now tell you how much she loves the GOP candidate.

I think that's exactly what she'd doing. She knows she has very little chance of winning. So she wants to make sure Obama doesn't win either. Because if he did, then her next shot at the presidency wouldn't come until (at least) 2016. But if Obama DOESN'T beat McCain, she only has to wait till 2012. Of course, though, her wait's gonna be WAY longer than either of those dates: If she manages to drag Obama down with her, Democrats will NEVER forgive her. She might as well join Lieberman and Zell Miller in their little cave.

What are you talking about? She has a better chance of winning than Obama. Its going to the convention where the superdelegates are gonna take her over the top. The NAFTA thing is just the beginning. It is already starting. By the convention everyone will realize the unelectability of Obama and the superdelegates will choose Clinton. That is the way it is.

well said Sloane7 . . . hillary is displaying her true self . .. it is hideous . .. her behaviour is reinforcing why she is totally unfit to be president .. . . . she should become a republican . . . that seems to be the company she prefers . . . she is just using the Democratic voters the way the bush administration has used the American public . .. the sooner she is out of this race the better . ..

Wasn't McCain the one who said that, Chelsea is the love-child of Hillary and Janet Reno. Now, she's singing his praises -- how ironic.

lol

She sinking from desperate to reprehensible. Check out Keith O's take:

If Keith ever got up the nerve to run for president (lots of people have suggested it), I'd drop whatever I was doing, spend every penny I had, and use every waking hour to help him. The guy's amazing. He's the only MSM person telling it like it is about Bush and his minions. On live TV, Olbermann has called Bush everything from a "traitor" to a "warmonger" to a "liar" to a "fascist". And of course he's right on. In fact, it's clear that Keith actually despises George W. Bush . . . just as any decent person does.

I, also, watched Keith O's show late last night.

His commentary is right on and hopefully Hillary will have heard his commentary or watched

it herself.

SHE is now at the POISON LEVEL TO THE DEM PARTY!

Time to write the DNC, again.

I prefer Obama, but I've been saying all along that Sen. Clinton would make a fine president as well. After this, I no longer believe that. This shows a pathological side that makes me not want any part of Sen Clinton. What in the world is she doing campaigning FOR the repubican? What benefit can she and her handlers possibly see in this kind of scorched earth tactic? Has she gone around the bend? I don't want anybody this unstable as president, no matter what time the "phone rings".

"What in the world is she doing campaigning FOR the republican?"

That's the most straighforward comment I've read so far on this situation. Well done.

Hillary, you were not in the Oval Office often enough to keep your husband from being a very bad boy.

So stop with your silly campaign mode with your outlandish statements about you and Senator McWar

being more qualified than Senator Obama as our country's Commander in Chief.

And, yes, will will now, after your awfulness, gladly go to the Ken Starr ads of old.

You need not Thank us. We must Thank You for going where we never would have.

Hillary Lieberman Clinton continuously states that she has 35 years of experience. Does anyone know what she's done for the past 35 years that gives her the credentials to run for president, using that experience as the reason we should vote for her? It would seem to me that she might still have been in college 35 years ago. I just don't get it, and I haven't heard anyone question her about her experience during those years. I know she worked in a law firm, but I don't know what else she has done. She certainly didn't have any luck with the health insurance fiasco in the early period of her husband's presidency. What else has she done that makes her ready to serve on day one, and to answer the phone at 3:00 a.m.?

Hillary is a John Leiberman, maybe she's acting more like she wants to run Mccain. She say anything now, you can learn a lot about a person's character when they're desperate - and she's showing the whole world what kind of person she really is. It's amazing, a couple debates ago she was 'honored' to be with Obama, now, according to Hillary, Mccain would make a better president then Obama. This is a new level in low, even for Hillary...

No, but my friend is so convinced that Obama will win and screw up, that he's actually ordered some that say "Don't blame me. I didn't vote for him." He says if McCain's elected, they'll work just as well. When I asked about what happens if Clinton is elected, he just got confused.

I've just seen what billary (lower case intended) said on Keith's Countdown. If she wins the nomination I will not only not support her, but I will actively contribute to Nader's campaign, if the support for Ralph will prevent her from becoming president. If Nader doesn't have a chance to stop her, I will support mccain. Not because I believe in mccain, but because I refuse to help the clintons to bring the political landscape back to 2000. This woman is a menace to the Democratic party I just can help the clintons have their way. The clintons empowered the neocons in 2000 and they're on their way to do it again in 2008.

There she goes again. Throwing a fellow Democrat under the bus. And of course, in the unlikelyhood she's the nominee, it will come back to haunt her. What is she thinking. Or maybe we should ask, is she thinking?

The Commander in Chief threshold = an arbitrary line separating you from the leadership talents of George W. Bush.

Ann Coulter has a promise to keep! She vowed that she would campaign for Hillary if Mac became the nominee. Why? SHE'S more a Republican than SHE is.

No she doesn't. McCain backed out of all of his beliefs to appease the conservatives. He is a broken man now. Or a Stepford McCain.
