Commander In Chief

The Swamp:

In a Cabinet-style setting, surrounded by retired military leaders, Sen. Hillary Clinton said the public should ask whether Democratic presidential rival Barack Obama has met the criteria needed to become the nation's commander in chief.

"I think that since we now know Sen. (John) McCain will be the nominee for the Republican Party, national security will be front and center in this election. We all know that. And I think it's imperative that each of us be able to demonstrate we can cross the commander-in-chief threshold," the New York senator told reporters crowded into an infant's bedroom-sized hotel conference room in Washington.

"I believe that I've done that. Certainly, Sen. McCain has done that and you'll have to ask Sen. Obama with respect to his candidacy," she said.

Her mantra: If I can't have it, John McCain should.

I hope someone in Congress is calling her and saying "What the heck are you doing?"

Hillary will put McCain in the White House before this is all over. What a sellout.

I think we should contact our local officials and demand that they kick her out of the democratic party. I don't care if you support her or not. If you are a democrat than this goes against the core principles.

You can't say "its me or no democrat. The republican is the better choice if its not me"

She needs to be kicked out.

All these kind words for the right wing I'm starting to wonder if her senate seat is next to Lieberman's.

Well, he hasn't picked a VP running mate yet. She sounds perfectly suited to the job.

That would be icing on the cake. How many Republicans would vote for John McCain with Hillary Clinton on the ticket?

For all Hillary's crowing about her foreign policy expertise and being ready on day one to assume the responsibilty of Commander-in-Chief, she has never received security clearance. So how ready is she really? And how sound are her judgements. She has already proven that she did not have the intuition, or moral integrity to stand up against the rush to give Bush the authorization to go to war with Iraq. 23 other senators knew better. Not Hillary.

i salute you beholder. You are right, nobody ever talks about the fact there were 23, yes 23 democratic senators that had the intelligence, the fortitude, the political will to vote to against Res114.
Please any Clinton supporter- please tell me why I would want her as my commander in chief ?

There is method to her seeming madness.

She's found the key.

She's unlocking the door.

She's headed right into the White House.

She's not heading anywhere...she is just helping McCain get elected

If the democrats don't give her the nomination she will be the republican candidate in 2012. She is just staking out her claim early.

Hillary doesn't seem to understand that war is not a solo sport. If her behavior within the Democratic Party is any indication of how she would manage as Commander in Chief (and really, that's all we have to go on) she could become the worst military leader in the history of our country.

It's not about YOU, Hillary!

This is all very disturbing. Mrs. Clinton is acting like this campaign is open in any way and as if she had any chances left to become the democratic nominee in a democratic process.

According to the numbers, she has no chance to make it and the Texas and Ohio primaries only made matters worse for her. Everything else is pure political spin. Nothing else.

The facts are as follows:

1.) Mr. Obama has a rough 750.000 vote lead in the popular vote.

2.) Mr. Obama has won 13 more Primaries/Caucuses than Mrs. Clinton

3.) Mr. Obamas pledged delegate lead remains at roughly 150 delegates

4.) With only over 600 delegates left in elections, she would need an average victory
margin of 23+% over Obama in EVRY SINGLE CONTEST left in order to just BRAKE EVEN
with Obamas lead.

By all reasonable standards, this campaign is over. Hillary is counting on the equivalent of
surviving a 30.000ft jump out of an airplane without a parachute.

Everything following from here on is pure destruction to the democratic party. What is that good for ?
Is that in our interest ?

So, basically she's saying there's not much difference between her and McCain? I'll buy that. Like McCain, Hillary is Bush-Lite.

She needs to be kicked out of the democratic party. This is the second time she has thrown a fellow democrat under the bus in favor of a republican. This is not campaigning anymore it's treachery for personal gain. I am disgusted with her and she is not a democrat.

I don't see any difference between Hillary and Joe Lieberman. It's worth mentioning that he doesn't even qualify as a superdelegate.

This is so outrageously vindictive of her that I will never vote for her. Thankfully, Obama will be the nominee and Billary will just be a bad memory.

More "me and McCain" rhetoric from Hillary "I don't give a sh*t about the Democratic Party" Clinton.

It's clear that it's dawned on her that she's not going to be the Democrat's nominee for Prez so she's angling for the VP slot...

...ON THE GOP TICKET!!!

What an absolute skank. She's rapidly catching up w/ Holy Joe LIEberman and Zell Miller in the race for "Worst. Democrat. Ever."
