Flashback: Clinton Called It "Disturbing" That Opponent Wouldn't Release Tax Returns

Eight years ago, when Hillary parachuted into NY to become our Senator, she and Howard Wolfson became completely obsessed with opponent Rick Lazio's tax returns, which he did not release until the end of August..

They talked about them at every opportunity. In early July, Hillary called it "frankly disturbing." A guy in an Uncle Sam outfit was dispatched to be a nuisance at various Lazio events in August. Howard himself showed up once to try to rattle Lazio by offering him a copy of some Chappaqua property tax receipt after Lazio said he'd release his state returns as soon as Hillary released hers (which didn't exist, because she had just moved up here).

What's the big secret here? I mean, Bill and Hill are just regular working folks, right? That's why they connect so well to blue-collar workers, their natural constituancy. I mean, Hillary works the night shift for fuck's sakes. She is just side by side with waitresses and nurse's aideas and factory line workers.

So what's in the tax returns???

1. the clintons are not regular working folks. Dollar bill is the biggest sellout in US history. He tried to push the sale of the safety and security of US shipping ports to the United Arab Emirates after receiving tens of millions in 'speaking fees' from the Arabs

This is the same scumball that sold MFN to China after taking a bribe from the Communist Chinese military

2. The clintons seems to connect best with - how should I say - less intelligent people; old ladies in Depends and people on minimmum wage - because they are too 'unaware' to check the facts.

As an example, the clintons promised upstate NY hundreds of thousands of jobs if only they would elect hillary as their senator. The dumbasses believed her, elected her and they lost tens of thousands of jobs since her highness took the throne.

The clintons are dirty, lying dishonest people. Some folks are just too 'unaware' to know any better.

This is too true, bud. Unfortunately for us, a much better candidate may loose the nomination due to the fact that there are SO MANY uninformed voters out there rooting for hillary. They don't understand simple facts, like that she served on WalMart for six years, voted for the Patriot Act twice!, or about her vote to label Iran's national military as a "terrorist network" (neocon move).

Your point would actually be very valid if we were talking about tax returns for 2007, the problem is the Clinton's have not released tax returns for any year since President Clinton left the White House. In the last year of President Clinton's second term the Clinton's earned approximately $300K and received a Federal refund of just over $5K.

In the years since, the Clinton's have earned quite a lucrative living with only minimal disclosures of the sources of wealth. Clearly, they have enjoyed a far more profitable lifestyle since departing the White House.

Again, if we were quibbling over tax returns for simply the most recent year, it would be petty, but we are talking about the last 7 years, transitioning from a small Federal refund to personally loaning your own campaign $5MM. Those are disclosures that the public needs to be aware of, to have transparency.
