Hillary Clinton

London Telegraph:

Hillary Clinton had no direct role in bringing peace to Northern Ireland and is a "wee bit silly" for exaggerating the part she played, according to Lord Trimble of Lisnagarvey, the Nobel Peace Prize winner and former First Minister of the province.

"I don't know there was much she did apart from accompanying Bill [Clinton] going around," he said. Her recent statements about being deeply involved were merely "the sort of thing people put in their canvassing leaflets" during elections. "She visited when things were happening, saw what was going on, she can certainly say it was part of her experience. I don't want to rain on the thing for her but being a cheerleader for something is slightly different from being a principal player."

Where's the MSM on this? Considering how "unfair" they are to her and all....

Well my husband is a very talented" artist "in a very competitive world of people who share his talent.
We have been together for 30 odd years and I can never claim that because of this relationship I can
do what he does so well. I can't and that is the truth!

All of the mainstream stream media except MSNBC will bury the this story. Or they will have a 45 sec. blurb about it on a morning show and laugh it off. There are many sexually partisan women in the media that are loath to offer valid criticism of Hillary.

But what is becoming increasingly clear is there is an actual REAL cult of personality developing around Hillary Clinton. To some of her former supporters, her behavior in this campaign is shocking. To her other supporters, they willfully ignore the similarity her tactics have with the worse of the Republicans. And in defending this madness, these rabid fanatics have become the very embodiment of delirious Bush/Cheney supporters trying to defend the indefensible. They have in fact become the new 31% that still thinks Bush is doing a great job. And just like allegiance to Bush, these Hillary supporters base their support in a warped understanding and willful disregard of FACTS. This sort of delusional behavior can only be attributed to an emotional connection void of rational thought.

Ergo, the Cult of Hillary and Doom of the Democratic Party.

you are so right! 2 days of coverage about the monster thing but Hillary was not pressured to disavow Buffenbarger and no one was fired for asking him to speak

David Plouffe:

“seems to be a different standard in the Clinton campaign.” He cited supporter Bob Johnson, who alluded to Obama’s drug use in South Carolina; Tom Buffenbarger, president of the machinists' union, who vitriolically trashed Obama in Ohio; and Tom Vilsack, who attacked Rudy Giuliani on the number of his marriages and the relationship with his children.

“It took them days to admit they were offensive comments,” Plouffe said of Johnson’s comments. And on Vilsack’s comments on Giuliani, there was “no action there,” Plouffe said. Clinton, Plouffe points out, never apologized for Buffenbarger’s remarks -- calling Obama “Janus, the two-faced Roman god of ancient times” and attacking his supporters as “latte-drinking, Prius-driving, Birkenstock-wearing, trust fund babies” -- at an event she was at and later followed him on stage.

“Apparently there are different standards here as it relates to people outside the campaign,” he added.

Oh please. Until we Hillary supporters stand around in mass, screaming something inane like "Yes we can", then Obama supporters hardly have the right to call us "cultish". Look in the mirror.

Standing around shouting "we want change" is not a sign of mass delusion, it's a sign of mass discontent.

Obama's supporters would instantly desert him if he were shown to have made outrageous distortions like HRC. Even the whiff of scandal, like the overblown NAFTAgate, lost him probably 10%. Conversely, HRCs supporters easily brush off any evidence of her misbehavior. Who, then, is the blind follower?

You bring up a fantastic point that has been driving me crazy as of late. Everyone charges that Obama's supporters are "cult-like", etc., but I think, in fact, it is Hillary's supporters who demonstrate that sort of behavior.

Case in point, during the last debate when she was asked about her tax returns, Hillary replied that "She hadn't had time" to get them done. Didn't have time? Like her and Bill have been just trying to find a Saturday afternoon off so they could sit down together with their latest version of Turbotax. What a ridiculous answer. Yet, it didn't raise a question from any of her supporters? What about all of the scandals? Do they not think that ANY of it is true? That it can all be written off to the "vast right-wing conspiracy?

I could go on and on, but seriously, who is drinking the kool-aid around here?

All good things come from the great Hillary!

But don't cross her. She is cross when crossed!

And when she's cross, she's dangerous.

If the Democrats don't give her the nomination that is due her,

because it's her turn now, and she damn well expects it,

then

she'll huff and she'll puff and she'll blow their house down.

And if she can't do it alone, she has friends to help her:

Brodie, Lieberman, McCain, and Murdock.

How typical of the Clintonistas posting here to claim that this criticism of Hillary is anti-feminist!

Anytime ANY charges are leveled against their idol, they wail and whine that it's just b/c she's a woman!

Then, they have the balls to tell voters that they should vote for her BECAUSE she's a woman!!??

What's wrong with this picture?

If they vote for her just because she is a woman, then they have unsolved issues to address, which
have nothing what so ever to do with politics. I am a woman by the way.

You've just described about 76% of women in the democratic process. Not to seem misogynistic, but that type of teenage cheerleading is why men have a hard time taking some female leaders seriously. The emotional element over rules most rational thought.

Have you been there lately -- like this month? Or to Canada, for that matter (where I live)? The Clinton's (Bill Clinton, to be precise, and Hillary by association) were liked by liberals everywhere -- Europe, Canada, USA -- until HRC began these transparent (at least to those outside the USA), self-destructive, incomprehensible attacks against Obama.

Standard Clinton bullshit lies and spin. Both of em' the Man and The woman spinmeister sellouts at best. No sexism here both the Clintons are as corrupt as the Bushes but instead of Saudi oil families and Haliburton, It's the Chinese govt. who is currently spying on us and hacking the pentagon and felons who fund the Clintons while companies like Walmart and GE prosper into multinational powerhouses. She has the audacity to claim "35" years experience most of which spent chasing power and fortune ( Rose Law Firm, Cattle Share fraud, Board of Walmart, First Lady extraordinare). First Lady extraordinare apparently means allowing yourself and your daughter and every other woman in America to be direspected by first Governor then President Bill Clinton all for the good of the country and of course your political ambitions and connections. If you would of left his sorry ass and made your own carreer you would probably already be President. Instead like it or not you're also stuck with NAFTA because you cannot selectively and often falsely claim responsibilty for and therefore direct experience for your Husbands and now supposedly also your policies without taken it all. That means NAFTA, Welfare Reform, Healthcare failure, and all the rest of the good and bad that comes with being cheifly associated with an administration. Otherwise we should be able to call it like it is and quit being so damn politically correct. Senator Clinton you are no more than a glorified cheerleader, you cheered your husband on and up until you ran for President you cheered Bush on and now that your losing your showing your true colors and you're cheering on Mccain. Come on Democrats UNITE 08/ Obama08

Considering all she did in Northern Ireland was sit in a room with hand picked ladies sipping cups of tea and munching sandwiches, her contribution to peace was zero!

We all know the man who put the time and effort in, he wasn't called Bill or Hillary!

Truthful Headline:

HIllary Clinton was a "cheerleader" in bringing peace to Northern Ireland and

NOT a "principal player" according to Nobel Peace Prize winner, Lord Trimble.

Can we hope for an ad with Hillary dressed as a CHEERLEADER?

She puts me in mind of those pitiful jerks that get caught making false claims they were Navy Seals, battling through the rice patties of Viet Nam with one wounded buddy over each shoulder, killing hunderds of enemies with only their feet and performing dual CPR simultaneously.

I think she just stood up there and said:
'Let's just get everybody together. Let's get unified.' The sky will open ... the light will come down ... celestial choirs will be singing ... and everyone will know we should do the right thing and the world will be perfect."
Then she waved her magic wand, and all the special interests just disappeared.

Lord Trimble must have just lived a little long to believe what Hillary did, or he might have illusions about how easy it all was.

She must have used some "magic words."

... Or maybe she insulted and mocked everyone for trying to rely on silly "rhetoric," then triangulated them into unity.
