Tonight on his show, Keith Olbermann eviscerated Hillary Clinton for a good ten minutes for promoting John McCain's presidency over her fellow Democrats. He compared her to Joe Lieberman. He asked "is she equating her time in the East Wing with McCain's time in the Hanoi Hilton?" You have got to watch these videos. They're devastating in only the way that Keith can be.

The truth is ugly, but it si the truth. Clinton is a closet Neocon who will tear the Dems apart to get what she thinks is owed to her.

"Tonight on his show, Keith Olbermann eviscerated Hillary Clinton for a good ten minutes..."

This is news? Olberman has devoted half his show EVERY night to eviscerating Hillary Clinton.

He's the Rush Limbaugh of the Democratic Party. Wake me up if he ever becomes relevant..

I agree. I used to enjoy Keith, now he has become a common scold--and very biased, too. Who says some sportscaster has the keys to American politics and behavior and everything else he is trying to comment on and control? Bah! I also think Hillary should stifle on McCain--out here Arizona way, we know he's pretty far out there. We are kind of embarrassed.

Seriously, Hillary-supporters... what the hell is she doing comparing Obama unfavorably to McCain?

I suppose it's strategic in the sense that it's a headline-grabber, but doesn't it damage the party long-term at a time when the Democrats risk a crack-up anyway?

Agreed! I'll vote for whoever is on the Democratic ticket, Clinton or Obama, because I think a Republican president for even a day longer is a disastrous thought. (And Hillary Clinton is not a Republican. Get a grip.) But Clinton's "strategy" lately is so erratic, nasty and completely inconsistent. And her constantly saying that McCain is more qualified than another Democrat does absolutely nothing for the party and alienates Obama supporters whose votes she would need in the general if she does end up being the nominee. The GOP is loving this, and it seems like the only person she's concerned with is herself.

I feel like I'm watching her turn into different kinds of people for different situations. One day she attacks, the next day she shakes hands, then the day after that, the Republican is more qualified than her fellow Democrat? What is she running for anyway?

I'm with Olbermann on this one. No surprise for me, but I'm not one to ignore his mistakes.

Shouldn't you be cheering for Obama to do this sense he is the one running for president? This is exactly why Obama can't seal the deal and knock Hillary out of the race. I support Hillary and disagree with the McCain comments but MY GOD Obama, she's handing you the nomination and you're scared to take it. Obama looks a lot like John Kerry and Mike Dukakis when he doesn't defend himself against these crazy attacks. Will he really fight for the progressive agenda he is campaigning on or back down the minute the republican in congress filliabuster? If I had to answer that question based on what I see now, I'd say Obama would back down or comprise leaving him with nothing.

Who really has the power to tell the Clintons anything?? Does anyone really think that the
Democratic Leadership has that kind of power to tell the Clintons what to do, on the other hand
I'm very sure the Clintons well tell the DNC/Democratic Leadership were they can go.
Watch there well be a coup in the DNC Howard Dean well be pushed out and replaced with a
puppet (clinton lackey, aka yes men), Fl and MI well be seated, the Democratic Leadership will
lose its spin, and there will be a huge civil war with in the party.

If Hillary is willing to endorse John McCain, over a democrat what does that say about the Clintons. John McCain someone who's toeing the GOP line. A new Pew research Poll should that 25%
of Clinton supports would vote for McCain if Obama was the nominee.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/06/clinton-mccain-and-i-hav_n_90310.htmlhttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/07/clinton-i-would-not-acc_n_90391.htmlhttp://www.thenation.com/docprint.mhtml?i=20080317&s=berman

I say if they won't Vote for Obama if he's the Democratic Nominee, then why the hell should we Vote
for Hillary? If Obama supporters are cultish, delusional, kool-aid drinkers, a bunch of dumb kids like
so many Clinton supporters like to say, or as Hillary likes to says "some believe that when Obama's
elected the clouds will open the birds will sing and all will be right in the world." If Clinton or her
supporters won't give Obama supporters/voters any respect, then why should we vote for her in the
General Election!

If the 2006 election was a vote against Bush, then the 2008 will be a Vote against the Clintons.

Why don't they release the Clinton White House papers?? Could be this.....

It says that big money wants to see McCain run against Clinton. It was obvious from the beginning that Hillary and McCain were the MSM choice, and who controls the MSM?

The fix is in, complete with those electronic voting machines, created and managed by Republicans.

Thank god for Olbermann.... he's the only reporter with enough balls to tell it like it is. Hillary Clinton cannot catch Obama. All she can do is bash him and endorse McCain. Olbermann is right. If Hillary can't win she will make sure Obama loses.

The media bashed Obama over NAFTA gate. But not a single one will admit that they were duped by a Clinton lie.

Thank you Keith for saying what too many in the media are afraid to.

Hillary can beat Obama with the Superdelegates. The whole purpose of the Superdelegates, sadly, is to stop the party from nominating an unelectable candidate. The messege Hillary is sending to those Superdelegates is plain as the nose on your face, DON'T SIDE WITH OBAMA BECAUSE HE WILL NOT FIGHT FOR THE WHITE HOUSE. LOOK AT HOW HE IS REACTING NOW. THE REPUBLICANS WILL SAY AND DO FAR WORST THINGS THAN I AM INORDER TO HOLD THE WHITE IN 2008. Ask yourself this simple question, why hasn't ALL the Superdelegate rode the wave over to Obama? Wouldn't this move by the Superdelegates stop the primaries dead in it's tracks? They fear what I do, Obama is to fucking soft!!! and will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The media hasn't bashed obama about anything--but that didn't stop him crying on his plane after Ohio/Tx/RI that the press had been "too hard on him".

And Olbermann's not saying anything no one else in the media hasn't already said, he just has a bigger soap-box.

Keith Olbermann aside, Hillary should have her butt kicked from the Democratic Party. Mind you, this comment is coming from someone who has donated quite a bit to the Clinton campaign many months ago.

Clinton's recent tactics are as desperate as they are despicable. Not only is it obvious that she hopes that the Dems lose 2008 in the event that she is not the nominee, presumably so that she can run again in 2012 against McCain under the premise of "you all got what you deserved, now you'd better all come home to mama," but also to place herself in a better position to pull superdelegates to her side by so destroying Obama's chances against McCain that the Dem Party leaders have no choice but to override what will presumably be an elected delegate win by Obama. Sick.

And we're supposed to respect what Olbermann has to say because he's a fair and unaligned journalist? He's lost credibility with many of us a while ago when he started sounding more and more like Chris Matthews. Way back when I watched him because he was one of the only voices who took the Bush administration to task for its many ill deeds. However, as Olbermann has become more pedantic with his anti-Clinton analysis, I can't imagine that he's gained many viewers except for the usual Hillary haters.

Shimmer, Olberman isn't anti-Clinton, he's anti-CRAP. If Hillary keeps the same position for more than a day and stops manufacturing lies, then I'm sure that Kieth will stop the barrage. Until then, he's going to be a fairly accurate CRAP-O-METER. I fully expect him to call out Barack Obama if he pulls stupid stunts and is caught trying to tear his party apart.

If any Clinton supporters think that Oberman is so unfair and aligned, please give us a brief rundown of the logic of Hillary's recent McCain-boosing comments, and what they do to ensure a democratic President in 2008. Really. Anybody?

BS - Obama got himself in trouble... did you NOT see his first real press conference on the subject - Deer-caught-in-the-headlights-Obambi routine?

This guy is not ready for prime time. She's pointing it out.

Olberman's numbers are in the tank almost as badly as he is in the tank for Obama. Faux News still beats him 5-1 in his timeslot. He used to represent himself as quasi-unbiased - now he's just a schill.

There is a reason why Obama lost Ohio and Texas, people are realizing Obama's arrogance and emptiness... I hear the criticisms about the idiots that don't make over $50,000 supporting Hillary, well, the Democratic party used to be about helping the little man - not letting the 'Latte Liberals' run around with their superiority telling the rest of the Party who they should support or how they will win - ugly and divisive I say - and I make far more than most of you 'Pinot Progressives' - those of you who make great money should be ashamed at the way you are treating those less fortunate within your own party - be thankful you had opportunities in this great country - stop dividing by class or education... being intelligent is not the same as being smart.

Obama's going to lose Men in droves now, because they do not like to be led around by the likes of KO and the MSM. He's toast...just look at the new PA numbers - men are walking away because they don't want to be associated with a cult of personality, and KO has no one to blame but himself, Chris Matthews and the rest of the MSNBC team (except Dan Abrams) who relentlessly promoted Obama without ever asking ANY tough questions or discussing his possible problems (KO never talks about Rezko - except to say Hillary's worse - well I thought the point was Obama's a different kind of politician??)

I'll watch KO - just like I watch everyone so I can get varying points of view, but I'll always and forever regard him as a partisan with a clear agenda, and everything he says has to be filtered by that knowledge.... He's just like O-Reilly now.

Are you done with your rants? They sound to me like the desperate attempts of someone who sees the doom of their candidate. Hillary is going to doom herself-people are already seeing her for who she is an opportunistic politician who only thinks of winning the nomination at any cost or damage to the democratic party. Who has said that people who make under 50,000 do not vote for Obama? What about all the African-Americans of all the inner cities who are suffering more than you will ever suffer and what about all the latinos who are suffering more discrimination than ever before and what about all the blue collar workers in Wisconsin, Minnessota, Illinois? Do they not count in your eyes? Aren't you over simplistic in your assesment? In Pennsylvania she may be ahead due to all the negativism of Hillary's campaign and lies she has put out there, but wait till it gets closer and there is more negative information on her taxes and Bill Clinton's dealings. Just wait and see!

For the last year it was common knowledge that the only party that can defeat the Democrats this year is the Democrats. Now we see this prospect unfolding. Hillary's latest tactic, a scorched earth campaign to build up John McCain's and her own "experience" obviously can only help McCain. She is probably too far behind in delegates to win, but even if she weren't why is she doing this? Here's where character counts, and she is woefully lacking. Returning to the moral high ground would win her the admiration of all and do just as much to deliver her the nomination (probably nothing). Why she can't do that (or won't) speaks to who she is down deep. "If I can't get it nobody gets it" is childish to the point of solipsism. I pray that Obama doesn't start mud-wrestling with her.

I agree with you. I am deeply dismayed and upset by the recent turn of events characterized by Clinton's adoption of a negative campaign strategy against a fellow Democrat. It's appalling and so destructive to the Democratic party's efforts to secure a historic victory in November. What a complete reversal from her tone and expression of "deep respect" for Obama in the final minutes of their last and final debate. Clearly, her new approach to winning the nomination is not serving the greater good. It only serves to help the Republicans in the general. It appears that she's at peace with that prospect. But it is clearly not the manner and style of someone who espouses to be the leader of the Democratic party should take. It is, in fact, quite the opposite.
