Pelosi Pipe Down

San Francisco Chronicle:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged both leading Democratic presidential candidates to cease their bickering, warning that the escalating rhetoric could hurt the party's chances in November.

"I would encourage both of them, as I have, to remember we have to keep our eyes on the prize, which is the general election in November," Pelosi said Friday at a luncheon in New York sponsored by Lifetime Networks and the Hearst Corp., parent company of The Chronicle.

"We are all very passionate about our politics and the issues we believe in, but we have to be very dispassionate about how we approach winning. We have to lift the debate to a place that does not turn off the American people."

"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." -- Nancy Pelosi, December 16, 1998

Hey Pelosi,

When you start doing YOUR job (representing Democratic voters and the people from your state if you've forgotten), then you can tell our candidates how to do theirs.

When will you Huffposters get it? There is no case for impeachment. Never has been, never will be. It was all political partisanship - an effort to create Bush/republican hatred. Any politicians who intimated that there was a case, were lying. No one who understands the law, and who accepts ALL of the information obtained during any investigations against the Bush administration, thinks for one moment that there is a case for impeachment.

No one.

Poor Grandma Nancy never saw quibbling by Democrats that didn't provoke her ire. Unfortunately Nancy is terrified of confronting the Bush Administration's most heinous corruption and their blatant subversion of the Constitution. That is the same Constitution she is sworn to defend. What a useless old girl she is.

Politics is the dirtiest of all the games and thats what makes it so much fun . I want a knock down drag out no holds barred absolutely vicious fight . The kind where only one man or woman walks away having proven they have the mettle to take on the GOP and the world . America only stands tall because we stand strong and we fight when we have to and we fight to win . We can not compromise with the likes of Hitler , Stalin , Hirohito , Terrorists , or Bush who thinks he's a dictator . Our ancestors fought and died to give us the right to self determination . I want a fighter who has withstood all challengers , be it the press , the Gop or the capitulation wing of her own party . And when the fightings over and the dust clears she will be the one left standing . Go Hillary .

Your mandate was to bring our troops home by refusing to fund the illegal Iraq war. Pelosi: "We will not cut off funding for the troops." You refuse to begin impeachment hearings on the illegal Iraq war and the war crimes committed by Bush.

You are weak and have failed the American people.

Well, Nancy, I have to repeat my questionn: why so Fair and Balanced. When you come upon holdup in the street, do you ask both sides to stop bickering?
Hillary Clinton, as everyone who knows her prtedicted, saw that she had no chance of winning by trying to sell herself, and she had no way of defeating Obama by pointing our legitimate things about him, so she starts lying like the Neocon she is and has always been. If you liked the last seven plus years, you'll be satisfied with her. You do know who funds her, do you not?
There are somer clear differences between her and Obama:

(1) She voted for the war in Iraq. He opposed it.

(2) She voted for Kyl-Liebermann and war with Iran. He oppoosed it.

(3) She opposed settinng a deadline to get out of Iraq. He supports it. (And all observers state that without a firm deadline the Iraqi governmennt has no incentive to seek a settlement!)

(4) She has a health care package that will enrich insurance companies. He has one which gives people a choice but puts affordable insurance in everyone's reach.

(5) She has a history of working behind closed doors. He seeks openness in government. And without openness there can be no effective accounntability.

(6) She will pursue the same old failed foreign policy. He will seek to achieve justice through better understanding and diplomacy.

(7) She campaigns with dirty tricks (like her right wing Canadian government aid with false leaks which she jumped to use knowing that it was false.) He has tried to keep things clean and honorable.

(8) He has a better chance of winning against McCain, whom she is trumpetting as better than he. (If the Party doesnn't nominate her, then -- in her view -- it deserves to lose.)

(9) And just how pro-union is the former Wal-Mart board member? Both say they are for the working people! Maybe you can believe one.

Character matters. We've had eight Clinton years. (And since she claims that as here 'experience' they must be fair game to use on her.) Other than "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." and NAFTA which had been negotiated by George H.W. Bush, Reno and Waco, what do you recall of those years? Whitewater, Billinggate, Cattle futures, anyone? (How to make a $100,000 profit on a $1,000 investment. If that was clean, we'd better vote fror her: she could probably pay off our national debt in a couple of weeks!), Chinagate,Travelgate, Tyson Foods, Filegate (illegal acccess to 900 files onRepublicans), Pardongate, and a suspect Indonesian connection.

But she objects to being called a monster while she rants like a mad -- well, dog, and calls him much worse.

Nancy's talk is another reason to replace her as Speaker. The mouse like squeeks & running away from impeaching W disqualify her from serving as Speaker. The voters in her district still could elect Cindy to replace Nancy. That would remove Nancy from leading Democrats in the House,

It's long overdue time for a UNITY TICKET!

If Pelosi's idea of leadership is more "Play Nice," either with Duhbya, or the bickering kids, she's no kind of leader.

Pelosi can serve the party, the nation, by pressing for a UNITY TICKET.

The sooner the better.

This duel to the death will only leave McSame standing.
