Is Owen Wilson going the Method actor route?

In Miami to film Marley & Me (costarring Jennifer Aniston and Eric Dane), the actor stopped by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Friday.

Wilson and Dane caused a stir when they showed up at the paper's Fort Lauderdale offices - just hours before deadline. Coincidentally - or not - the film is based on a memoir by the newspaper's columnist John Grogan. The pair spent about an hour talking to editor Earl Maucker and walking around, trailed by their crew.

I wonder how regular citizens feel when actors pull this kind of thing. You know it happens all the time and i'm sure quite a few of them feel grateful. But it must get under a percentage of people too. Like the piece says: that the reporters were busting ass b/c of deadline and Wilson comes strutting in wanting to know how everything works.

It takes balls to be an actor.
