80 Superdelegates Will Wait Till Convention To Choose Sides

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's trio of victories over Sen. Barack Obama last week appears to have convinced a sizable number of uncommitted Democratic superdelegates to wait until the end of the primaries and caucuses before picking a candidate, according to a survey by The Washington Post.

Many of the 80 uncommitted superdelegates who were contacted over the past several days said they are reluctant to override the clear will of voters. But if Clinton (N.Y.) and Obama (Ill.) are still seen as relatively close in the pledged, or elected, delegate count in June, many said, they will feel free to decide for themselves which of the candidates would make a stronger nominee to run against Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in the fall.

What we need to do as the people, is to drag these super delegates out of their cages and force them to take a position, and then stand up to it. They were all selected because they represent some group or constituency, and the members of those constituencies need to hold their feet to the fire. If they can't take the pressure, give up the job to someone else.

There is no way we should let them have unaccountable power. They need to explain what they are going to do to the people.

OBAMA LEADS IN SUPERDELEGATES THAT ARE ELECTED OFFICIALS

I went to

http://www.politico.com/superdelegates/ and looked at the list of all the commited superdelegates

From that list I counted only the elected officials (Senators and Representatives) and the count was

OBAMA 96 CLINTON 94

so Clinton's lead in superdelegates is actually due to DNC operatives that do NOT answer to the American people

I reported this on my non commercial web site ( I am not 527)

http://clintonscandals2008.com

and you can check the math for yourself at

Hey Philly Family,

Don't forget to register to vote. Last day to register to VOTE is March 22, 2008. The only way for your voices to be heard - VOTE.

Let's not forget Senator Clinton voted YES to send our "kids" to fight and die in a war with no actual planning. The Senator voted to give the "Bush" Admin unlimited resources without any debate. How scary! Causing so much pain for so many American families. I don't think she's ready to be Commander in Chief deciding the future of America and the fate of our young. So much pain?

Hope is a beautiful thing. It's time for a change!

OBAMA CURRENTKY WINS SUPERDELGATES THAT ARE ELECTED OFFICIALS

I went to politico.com and check the list of commited delegates. I counted the superdelegates that were elected officials (Senator, representatives) and found that Obama is leading these

96 to 94

The difference in the superdelegate count is due to DNC party operatives that do NOT answer to teh American people

To the SuperDelegates, ... Remember that you are nominating a person that all Americans can elect as our next president. We Independents are so for a reason. In my own state we can not vote in the Primary, but we can speak, ... and do.

I am troubled by a party that exercises rules to disenfranchise Florida and Michigan voters, ... but I am as troubled by Hillary's laying claim to the votes they cast in both states with virtually no opposition, and Obama off the ballot.

I am troubled by a party that panders to a couple who reek of a sense of entitlement to the White House, ... as if their first tenure was not enough to their liking. In any other America, these would have been the very Democrats who would have cherished the thought of a candidate such as Obama, supported him, and driven his campaign forward.

Retribution, it seems, drives the Clintons on, in a fervent and fevered attempt to reclaim the family reputation lost in Bill's second term. These times, these dark days in America can not and will not allow the egos of these two political animals to play in what is left of our American Political system. They are part of what has brought it to its knees! When Bush begged his way into the White House, it was to cleanse it of the sins of Bill Clinton, ... or so the Reich claimed.

I am troubled by a party that seems unwilling to start anew, gathering fresh faces and asking for a new start with the People of America.

The Clintons suggest that Obama would be a great choice for VP. As a white man approaching 60, I suggest that Obama is a perfect choice for President right now! Hillary can remain the Senator from New York, but we will choose other women to occupy the Oval Office, ... And there are many fine women who will do so in the near future. Hillary is the wrong person, at the wrong time. She will be the kiss of death to the party should she wangle her own nomination through the DLC.

If the Democratic Party gives us Independents only Hillary Clinton to vote for in November, ... that will not be enough. She will fail to be elected, and if perchance elected, ... she will fail to perform. Her time has come and gone, ... mark my words.

the superdelegates should go with the will of the people.

Here's to the progressive party. Spend 7 years complaining about how the will of the people was stolen by a few elitists. And now they have a blood bath over their own candidates and resign the decision to a few elitists.

I agree.

How dare the DNC try to STEAL the election from the voters?

They will lose a whole generation for decades, and will be doomed to losing every race for a long time.

Especially black voters, the most loyal demographic in the party, voting 9-1 for Democrats every time, will go away permanently.

The first winning black nominee and the DNC steals it in the backroom?? Talk about "disenfranchisement" of the black voter -- this is Jim Crow on steroids!

If the Democrats become the Cheatocrats, it will be civil war!

Someone tell me HOW these SD's vote. Just tell Howard Dean, fill out a ballot and mail it, and who tabulates the votes. A secret ballot, a phone call. How the hell do they vote?
