SNL Spoofs Hillary's 3AM Ad

Two weeks after "bitch is the new black," and just one week after Hillary Clinton's surprise appearance on the show, SNL is at it again: this time, opening the show with a spoof of Hillary's 3AM ad. The sketch, seen below, depicts a 3AM phone call between Senator Clinton and a very inexperienced President Obama, who calls Hillary in the middle of the night for advice on what to do about Iran and how to fix the heating in the White House.

Barack Obama is a brilliant man of immense character and substance. His ability to inspire with his message of hope along with his intelligence and poise have opened the hearts and minds of millions of people around the world. I am a white woman and I find the SNL portrayals of Senator Obama nothing less than racist. They continually portray him as an empty suit who needs help to think or act and they leave me absolutety cold and with a taste of bile in my mouth. I am not laughing. No matter how they try to spin it, they are obviously attempting to diminsh one of the few bright lights in politics today. I feel very sad about how the Clintons and their supporters appear to see the future and the lengths towhich they will go to win at all costs.

I'm an Obama supporter, hated the last two weeks of SNL skits and thought this week's was a lame attempt for them to claim balance but still keep up the pro-Hillary thing (criticizes her for going negative and yet delivers her negative message). However calling these things racist is just beyond ridiculous. Exactly how is it racist? Because a white man in playing Obama? Sorry I just don't see that as hitting the target for an accusation of racism.

Criticize the SNL skit for the things is does get wrong, or the clear bias they've exhibited, but accusing them of racism destroys your credibility not theirs. It's an empty accusation.

Oh and for the record, I think they are allowed to have an opinion and express it. There is no standard or rule that I believe in that says a comedy show has to demonstrate dispassionate objectivity. They have every right to say whatever they want to on the show, and to take a position.

I think the skit cut both ways. It was shown as a Hillary made anti-Obama commercial. Not as what will happen, Hillary's version of what will happen.

As such, the sketch was anti-Hillary and anti-Obama. Hillary tells Obama, "It's 3 a. m. Of course" Bill Clinton is not anywhere near her bed or bedroom. That shows how SNL will cut Hillary when he faces St. John in the Fall.

There are three other interesting things: 1. Armisen cannot play Obama. He was shown in cut out photos and Amy P.'s Hillary was sjown live. Armisen has hurt his career by doing a brain-dead, charisma-less Obama. Armisen's Obama makes Armisen look racist. 2. The show itself was quite funny this week. The Roger Clemens Theatre was very funny and the women dancing was funny and the Def Comedy Reject was funny. And they made an awful joke about McCain being very old. 3. the lack of comments shows that The Clinton's still know how to dominate the news. The Clintons have their own Noise Machine that Tina Fey is a part of by proxy. Her episode was the only one that got attention (she is NOT a writer or cast member, she was a Guest Host).

omg SNL keeps getting better and better. The spoofs of the Media in the last two debates was awesome, but this takes the cake. AWESOME!
Barack Obama has absolutely no clue about any relevant foreign policy matter.

It's also great how Obamaniacs are crying foul over how SNL is satirizing their Messiah. If it was the other way around, a) it wouldn't really matter because it would just be in line with the rest of the media bias, b) and SNL would seem even more seller-outty because they just went along with the Obama-hordes.

And if you also actually watch the clip, SNL also satirizes Clinton for using unfair tactics like the red-phone ad.

I love the way they are saying this is racism. It is despicable how they are using race to get sympathy for their candidate.

After all the things that have been said about Hillary on major news networks, this little SNL skit is too much for the Obama babies to take.

I don't know what they will do when the Republicans get a hold of their candidate.

I for one believe that one must first look at how things would be assessed if roles were reversed. I am quite sure that if this comic routine displayed a Hillary Clinton slaving over an oven or dusting furniture and displaying a frantic, air headed, stumbling and bumbling character when confronted with a foreign policy disaster, you would have felt insulted. Imagine if you will her having to call a man for instructions on what to do next. Now imagine every cable news network showing this skit and chuckling over it.

For something to be funny there should be some truth to it. This attempt appears vacant and speaks to having another agenda. Just as Hillary has a good educational background so does Barack. I mean, aren't talking about a man who was president of the Harvard Law Review has 20 years of legislative experience?

I guess there is a disconnect for me and just fail to see the humor in this.

AMAMZINGLY, perhaps the tactic to cry FOUL if someone points up/out the OBVIOUSNOUS of the snide racism which is playing its "blamed" as but "PLAY" the race card where not actually the case...THe CLintons have used that tactic and figure the whacko fringe elements will do so even moreso as this all progresses BUT, thankfully, there actually has been SOME REAL PROGRESS in regards to racial divisionaries and in the REAL WORLD, folks have indeed been able to overcome that hateful divisive of simply hating due to another "looking" different in skin color, ethnicity origins , even religion thou at present, the Christians still have a lock on that as a preferential consideration as we hear the bruha-ing attempts to denigrate Muslims failing to see that the REAL basic tenets of most all religions are basically so similar that should be able to discount that aspects as just sects preferences in rituals of how to accomplish the ultimate goal of pleasing/obeying that entity worshipped as Almighty God....Eventually, the barriers to allowing respect between the various might actualize , that WOULD be real progress and ALL would benefit from such CIVILIZATIONING !!! In order for a joke to be funny, there has to be something true about it. The SNL skit was no more funny, than if they had done one portraying George W. Bush as an intellectual snob. It wouldn't track, just as the Obama / Hillary skit didn't.

Obama graduated from Harvard Law School, magna cum laude, and was president of the Harvard Law Review. He will do just fine in the WH.

Anyone who has a life is out doing something fun on a Saturday Night. SNL is for 14 year olds. This sketch is about as desperate for young people to watch it as Hillary is. Mind the generation gap. We're not buying it.

And, you know, it's also pretty horridly unfunny.

I can predict the cutting edge skit Jim Downey (who must be at least 70 years old) will come up with for next week -- Minstrel Obama dressed like a Muslim, refusing to sing the Star Spangled Banner, refusing to recite the Pledge of Allegiance -- and a kindly, attractive Hillary with a kind,
well-modulated voice trying patiently trying to help him. No shrill, manic shrieking. No demented, maniacal cackling.

Hillary did say in a stump speech that Obama was entitled to win Mississippi. This lady has no clue about Martin Luther King's role in the Civil Rights Movement, the Civil Rights Acts -- or even
the outcome of the Civil War. SNL can be her separate but equal "comedy show" -- so appropriate for a woman who has never displayed anything resembling a sense of humor.
