I'll vote Hillary.

The more I see Obama the less I can believe him
His facts always omit some very important details.

Hillary '08

This character could not tell an M-14 from an M-249, an F-16 from an F-18.

But I am certain he could tell us the diffeence between a bong and a crack pipe.

His experience lies not in the armed forces but more over, strung out and high in the college dorm room. And that's ok, if that's what you are looking for.

Interesting that he cannot get a more current Secretary of the army.

More like, smart enough not to identify himself with military leaders tied to Iraq. Naturally he would reach out to military leaders who could back Obama's anti-Iraq position.

All of this makes me think of the wise saying that nothing prepares a person to be President, except being President. By its very nature, it is a unique job, with absolutely no equivalent. Whether you're a Senator, a Governor, a First Lady, or whatever else, your job does not span the full array of Presidential responsibilities.

I think it's kind of like a firefight, or combat. You can prepare for it all you want. Until you hear that first bullet whistle past, you really don't know what you're in for. Of course, one candidate can claim they've watch more war movie than the other.

Obama is not the saint that his supporters see him as . I think that it would behoove you all to do a little research of his early years in Chicago politics. Read how he got his Illinois senate seat. Check into the17 year association he had with Rezko . You are after all judged by those with whom you associate.
Read how his "political godfather", Illinois Senator Emil Jones, who at Obama's request, gave him opportunities and guided him to become a candidate for his senate seat. He has had just as much ambition to become president as Hillary . For all his lofty speeches, he is nothing more than a Chicago politician who knows how to play the game and plays it the Chicago way. If you blindly follow him without doing your homework and he becomes president, you may regret it. Remember the Bush loyal supporters and the 7 year disaster that we are living in now.

Memo to America: Get over this Commander-in-Chief nonsense! The emphasis for the President should be on the governmental aspects, not the military. The whole thing conjures up images of military dictatorships and warmongering, and we really need to get over it. The President is not a general, and for a country like the United States, war plans ought to be and must be a dusty relic of a bygone age. Obama's credentials are first and foremost as Ambassador-in-Chief, and I'd much prefer to see him flanked by the Samantha Powers of the world than the Clifford Alexanders. Give it a rest, miltary-industrial complex people! With any luck, and a proper focus, war can be an obsolete appendix to a truly modern Presidency. If you're worried about Obama's ability to lead and inspire, then I'm really sure you haven't been paying attention, so let's get past this nonsense, folks. He can do this stuff just fine, if he has to. Let's move on!

Peace!

To the 36 yr Vet. I'am a 24 yr Vet. And I will not vote for anyone that can't salute the flag, when our National Anthem is played. B.O. is a shell of word's, A.L. Sharpton give's a good speech also. And if I might ad, he doe's his off the stump, w/o reading from pundit's. Anyone can stand beside a bunch of great leaders, but that still don't make them a great leader. W, had so many photo op's with great leaders, and look what that got us, nothing...

The whole idea of the Commander-in-Chief "threshold" is a nonsense. What has Hillary done to cross this threshold? For that matter what has McCrazy done to cross that threshold?

Honest Abe Lincoln arguable the best Commander-in-Chief in the history of the United States had less experience than Obama when elected.

Obama has passed any reasonable measurement to be Commander-in-Chief when he was RIGHT on the war in Iraq and RIGHT to attack Al Qaeda in Pakistan. Both McClinton and McCrazy FAILED the first test when they voted for the war in Iraq. They FAILED the second test when they said Obama was naive when he wanted to attack Al Qaeda in Pakistan when the Bush administration has uncharacteristically wisely used this policy twice so far.

So, because Obama never actually had to vote for the Iraqi resolution, but says would have voted against it...if he actually could vote...he's the most qualified person to be the President of the United States?

THIS is your "threshold" for holding the position as leader of the free world...the fact that he didn't have to vote, but says in hindsight...that he would have voted one way or another??

Now THAT'S a low threshold.

Obama made a courageous unpopular PUBLIC stand that could have very well ended his career.

Where has Hillary ever shown similar courage? Where has she even made ONE such speech?

She is an opportunist, through and through and never takes a public position unless she's certain there's lots of support for it. What a hypocrite.

If the war is such a trivial matter to you and you don't care that she sent us to this war then by all means you should vote for McCain.

I hope you know what the best-commander-in-chief, Lincoln, did. He not only suspended habeus corpus for all US citizens, he also tried Americans in military tribunals. He also completely occupied Maryland, a Union state, and allowed them to have very little rights. Measures that were very necessary during his presidency. I really can't wait ten years down the road when people realize that George Bush was one of the greatest presidents over the past fifty years.

"What has Hillary done to cross this threshold?"

She sipped tea and ate cookies with Sinbad and Cheryl Crow in Bosnia.

Will this press release be an adequate diaper for all the voters that wet themselves while watching Hillary Clinton's 3 a.m. ad? This has to up the ante on Hillary's next scare campaign in Pennsylvania. It will have to be a real horror movie in the run-up to April 22. Perhaps the next Clinton commercial will feature ... monsters.

Against Clinton's star-spangled array of generals and admirals the best Obama can do is line up three who-the-hell-are-the? civilians from the Pentagon?

Those guys better be silver-tongued devils.

As a lady from the "woman's lib" generation, I do agree with the earlier post, asking my generation to think about it. I agree, I woman president would be great, but not this woman. Let's not vote for her simply because she's a woman. Her lowdown and dirty tactics of late, as turned me more and more against her.

As to the poster reminding us that Obama never had to vote on the war. While that is true, the fact remains he is ON RECORD, from the beginning not buying into the war even when so many others did. Would have he voted differently?? Woulda, shoulda, coulda, as far as I'm concerned, The fact is,he is the only one to speak against it. That shows the insight on the war that he had even before he was in Washington. What a plus

And one more thing, yes yes yes I say to him going overseas. I swear the foreign countries will see that he truly can be a "uniter" and a peacemaker. This should be a real plus for him as far as displaying his international appeal. He should draw circles around icy Hillary.

I
