What Star Lost Her Belly Button? She Has Admitted To A Tummy Tuck

She's 50 years old as of last week, spent years on a hit sitcom, and has four sons. She openly had a breast lift and tummy tuck, and wrote about the experience:

Her breasts, she says, were "horrifying." And her stomach was a mess. "I had a big ridge of scar tissue. My belly button was herniated. Then there was that skin that hung there. It didn't work to suck it in. It wouldn't have mattered if I had done 1,000 sit-ups. "

The tummy tuck was like having another C-section, she says. "I would recommend it to anyone."

I just want to know, couldn't they give her her belly button back, the way she wanted it to look? (they're plastic surgeons, right?!) -- or is the "no belly button" the new style?

She looks good for her age, along with the fact that she gave birth to at least 3 kids in rapid succession and worked as an actress on the everybody loves raymond show for years and years, she looks good. I shudder to think about what most of the bloggers that are throwing the insults at her look like. Try taking a good long look in the mirror before talking about someone else. What i don't admire are her politics, she is way to the right.

I love the scar I have, from delivering my daughter by Caesarian. I'm over 50 and what I treasure most is how hard I've worked to keep my brain attractive. In fact, it's the best part of my body and in terrific shape. I am doing amazing things with it.

1. has borne and given birth to a child
2. has breast-fed a baby
3. has experienced the maternal instinct


On a related subject, after briefly studying so-called "men's rights" sites, I now get spam promising to add three inches to a man's penis. I guess men's righters must be an important market for penis enlargement. I have nothing against gay guys, but I resent fellows who claim to be "straight" while worshipping the phallus. If you're a men's righter and a gay guy, say it loud and say it proud!

To be honest, aside from the lack of a belly button, she looks great. :) I am 29 and I have no trouble finding a 50 yr old woman attractive. ;)

So who is superficial here? The article is about her plastic surgery. Not her fashion choices. But here is a perfect example of different perceptions and men vs. women. I couldn't keep my eyes off of the parts of her anatomy showing while the opposite view notices what's covering up the rest. I'll try to do better. I did notice she could use more sun. It must have been her first day out, I guess.

Hmmm, I thought tummy tucks gave the patient a new belly button. Seriously. I thought the belly button was cut around, then when the skin is re-stretched, then the hole is cut out and the belly button revealed and stitched back into place.

In response to eXcommunicate...that is the first clue that she has had a repair done to a herniated belly button...it cant be replaced or recovered when it is blown out with a hernia.

I think she looks wonderful...and not just her belly and breasts...she has the best smile on her face...cant purchase that for any price.:)

Again, there are no if ands or buts about repairing a hernieated belly button, this can be a life threathening thing if it stangulates (the hernia) and along with the repair comes a bit of a tummy tuck...whether you want it or not.

I don't think we realize just how hard childbirth is on a womans body.
