Iraqis Question Worth Of Invasion

Reuters:

Five years after U.S. and British forces swept into Iraq and toppled Saddam Hussein, many Iraqis are asking if the violence and upheaval that turned their lives upside down was worth it.

The human cost is staggering -- anywhere between 90,000 and 1 million Iraqi civilians killed, according to various estimates; nearly 4,000 U.S. soldiers dead; while 4 million Iraqis are displaced.

On the bright side, Iraqis are rid of one of the 20th century's most ruthless dictators. They held free elections and have a new constitution.

I think it should only be fair to ask this questions in the US. After all we have sacrificed more then any other country in Iraq.

Anyone that things our war & occupation of iraq could possibley be worth it, needs to go back Mars, or whatever Planet Crazy they came from.
Iraq is destoyed. Our economy is collapsing. The world ecomomy is collapsing. Thousands are dead, many thousands more maimed. Gas is nearing $4 at the pump. Our treasury is looted. Our military is in ruins. It will be generations before we will get any but the most desperate young people to sign up to protect our country.
Halliburton & Dick Cheney are the only ones that think it was "worth it", and hell has a special place for them.

while cheney and the chimp need to pay for their crimes against Our Country, they are not alone. the rethugs (all of them) are just as guilty, along with the bluedog demorats, Pelosi, Reid,Hoyer and all of them that have supported these Criminals. spineless demorats are a disgrace. We The People need to really clean house.

"People with such views are overlooking the joy of speaking freely, said Ahmed Sebti, 39, owner of a kebab restaurant in the southern Shi'ite city of Najaf."

See, Cheney and Bush did introduce "our" democracy to Iraq.

We are losing more and more jobs, prices are soaring higher and higher, more and more people are homeless, and the number of rights that we have are increasingly defined by how much money we have.

But we have the joy of speaking freely, by golly!
