Another sign of the anger in Obamaland at the Clinton campaign: an email from a member of Obama's LGBT leadership council, Maxim Thorne, to a couple of listservs:

"We cannot tolerate her lies and stolen election," Thorne wrote of Clinton, revisiting familiar themes:

At 3am, Hillary said she and Bill were in bed and she knows of all the calls a President gets at different times of the day and night. Really? So much involvement - so much togetherness. Where was she when Monica was having sex with Bill? 35 years of experience? When he was intimidating Katherine Wiley and Paula Jones? Where was the judgment on the cattle futures and white water. Do we forget Mark and Denise Rich? This was an impeached President who lost his license to practice law. He committed perjury. They settled with Paula Jones for the full amount of her lawsuit. I haven't forgotten and none of us should.

I think this little tidbit is going to illicit sympathy from women. Many women have been on the receiving end of infidelity, many decided to stay, and many have carried on forgiving but not forgetting. If anything this hurt the Obama camp.

From what I heard today on MSNBC Clinton refused to sever ties with Ferraro because Ferraro is not part of the campaign. She is only a member of the Finance Committee.

Here we learn Obama severs ties with a person who is on a LGBT Leadership Council. Truly, I have no idea what this is or how it fits into the campaign, but it sounds as if it is less connected to a campaign than a Finance Committee is. I mean a campaign can be run without a Leadership Council, but try running one without a Finance Committee.

I'd say Obama, at least in this instance, practices what he preaches. He doesn't permit divisive, personal attacks upon his opponent.

Unfortunately, I heard nothing about this in media today.

On Fox News, Limbaugh listed "another reason why we need Hillary to stay in:" the Clinton campaign can attack Obama in ways the Republicans cannot. "Who was it that first used Obama's middle name of Hussein? It was not us. It was [Clinton supporter] Bob Kerrey, over and over again, former Democrat Senator of Nebraska."
"Who was it that talked about Obama not just using drugs, as he admitted in his book, but maybe even selling them and dealing them? It was [Bill] Shaheen, Clinton's co-chair in New Hampshire.­"
Limbaugh's assumption here is that Obama will be the Democratic nominee.

He raised some valid points and resigns compared to Ferraro's & Wolfson statements over the last week and they are still involved with the Clinton campaign.

I applaud Obama's efforts to stay above the fray and, rightly, Mr Thorne should resign.

Once again the Obama campaign has shown a level of class unheard of in modern day United States politics.

There aren't any doubts that he can unite the nation, in my opinion - he has with stood the kitchen sink; time for Hillary to step into history before she really becomes an embarrassment beyond where she is currently.

Maxim Thorne did not feel quite so revolted by Bill Clinton in 2004 when he addressed the African-American Research Center at Yale University.

In a speech entitled "New Political and Legal Strategies for African-Americans: Dreaming Big Dreaming Creatively" Thorne said:

" ...that night, I saw America's first black President. And while I love Bill Clinton, I'm not talking about him."

He was, of course, talking about Barack Obama. But Clinton? Well, he loves Bill Clinton. He was not bothered by all the sexual escapades then that he seems so repulsed by today.

And where was all of this so called outrage from Maxim Thorne the "LGBT Leadership Member" when Obama was touring with the anti-gay bigots Donnie McClurkin and Kirbyjon Caldwell? Donnie McClurkin preaches that all gay people are cursed by god, and that gays are all child molesters. Caldwell runs an "Ex-Gay" torture ministry. Where was Thorne's LGBT leadership on those issues? Where was his outrage? He is a disgrace to gay people everywhere.
