Bush Flight Suit

President Bush let his inner adventurer out while discussing the state of the war in Afghanistan with military and civilian personnel. While those in Afghanistan detailed the logistical and diplomatic problems via teleconference, the President took a much more whimsical approach to their mission. Via Reuters:

"I must say, I'm a little envious," Bush said. "If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed."

"It must be exciting for you ... in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You're really making history, and thanks," Bush said.

Meanwhile, over 40 Taliban insurgents were killed in a battle in Southern Afghanistan, and six Afghani civilians were killed in a suicide bombing aimed at an American convoy.

He is obscene.

You're too kind. There's really no word powerful enough to express the depth of this man's depravity.

Somehow, I can't envision the war in Iraq as a "romantic" experience. I doubt this would be how any of our soldiers would describe it, or the survivors and friends of those who have lost their lifes in Bush's idea of a sandy paradise. Come to think of it, if the Afghanistanis ever thought of anything as romantic, I doubt it would be their country!

We know his record. He had his chance for such a romantic adventure when he was younger. If you are what you eat, he was obviously pigging out on chicken and lilied livers, since he went AWOL and used his daddy's power and influence to get out of that one.

He mentions that "if he were no employed." Great idea! Why don't we make his dream come true! Fire him and send him to Afghanistan. We would be happy to see him leave, and I imagine there are a lot of folks in Afghanistan who would love to see him! With any luck, bon voyage, Chicken Little!

But where, oh where, are all our great Bush supporters? Why are they so silent lately? Tell us again, the way you told us for years, how Bush is the ideal Republican, the man who "says what he means and means what he says," the great leader with whom you'd love to have a beer. Given Bush's tremendous drinking problem, I always thought that last bit was particularly cruel, by the way.

When Bush has had a couple beers is the only time he has something interesting to say.

So blood and guts gives him a woody.

Just what Jesus wants in a world leader.

Drug dealers and war lords run Afghanistan because the "president" can't leave Kabul. Wedding parties blown to hell by mistake and all for the sake of pipelines built to reduce costs for oil companies. Bush is a low-life John Wayne wannabe (who did not serve either). He should be convicted of war crimes and appropriately punished.

It would be easy to find one soldier willing to trade places.

It would be harder to find a soldier that made a worse president.

I think bush and mccain should be made to stroll the streets of Baghdad. Why not, the surge is working, right?? McCain said a long time ago that any American can walk around safely in Baghdad. I'd love to see them try. And without a hundred troops, snipers and attack helicopters, or bullet-proof vests.

Tsk! I just can't believe the hostility and small-mindedness.

Some of us here have been bosses. When someone has been on your payroll a long time, and you find out they're in a tight spot or there is something they really, really want to do that circumstances make impossible, don't you try to help them out a little if you're in a position to? You cut them a little slack for a while, or give them an advance on their next check or the Christmas bonus if you can, or you say, "Look, take some time off if you need to, take care of the situation, don't worry about us right now."

Well, see, here's George. He's been with us almost eight years. Granted he's not too good at his job, but he shows up on time most days and keeps his desk neat, and here we find out he's got this dream that is so close to his heart, and he can't pursue it because he feels tied down to his job. I think we should all listen to our inner good boss. I propose we say to him, "George, we know how it feels to have a dream. We're not going to stand in your way. Go right ahead and go, with our blessing. Monday if you want to. We'll make sure Laura gets your checks right through January. Here's your coat. Goodbye and God bless."

There, now don't we all feel better?

It seems there are a lot of neo-cons that think this way, they envy this troops to the point they want to continue this stupid war of aggression; but not with them in the front lines you can here them say this over and over they have more important things to do. What is more important then fighting in this war that you believe in.
Prez Bush oh he did his time in the Guard, getting out of the front lines in Vietnam, I'm sure now that he regrets that he didn't use all that training he got from the military in Vietnam instead of in a drunken stupor.

"President Bush let his inner adventurer out..."
Is "inner adventurer" the new euphemism for "dick" or "unconscious".

America, wake the hell up...........what does it say about us as a country that we let such a stupid ass destroy all that was good about our country. Impeach the asshole already. Maybe then the world will be more willing to support our values. As it is now no one wants to support our dollar. Bush talks all the time about tax cuts for everyone and God knows we need them so that we can pay for the more than doubling of gas prices. So, really people the tax cuts are a clever ploy to put more money into the accounts of the oil companies. What the hell good is a tax cut when all of it goes to these greedy bastards.

Um, is this the same guy who said he "served in the national guard", as his military experience, I mean we all know he was AWOL. Give the guy a flight suit and tell him your going to drop him off in the middle of Afghanistan, he gets a gun and canteen and if he makes it out safely, we will consider that he really did serve his country. I'm sure he will have a blast and it will be just as romantic as he thinks.
Better stock up on your meds folks another nine months of this guy and were all going to be as nuts as him.

This statement by Bush, is a horrible insult to all of our brave and patriotic soldiers who have fought and died. My Nephew was in Afghanistan and he will tell you there is nothing romantic about it! As for being younger, Bush had his chance but like a coward, had his daddy keep him out of Vietnam. It is easy to say: "bring em on"when you can hide behind the true brave patriots in the military!

Fuck him!

I was in Vietnam while this asshole was AOL from playing with airplanes in Texas, thanks to his daddy's connections. Had he volunteered for the "romantic" Vietnam war, he would know what it was like to have bullets whiz by his head and see what brains look on the outside of a skull.

Well, there is a lot of pink stuff. Maybe that's romantic.

What a lying, cowardly piece of excrement!
(Oops! Sorry, this is giving excrement a bad name!)

Dumbya's quote is perfectly vomit-inducing.

A Perfect Storm of peristalsis in reverse!

My God, does Bush ever suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
