Just shut up already, Geraldine! The way you and Hillary are carrying on is setting the womens' role in politics back 50 years! People desire competent, well grounded people to represent them, not harridans!

I agree! I am really worried about the damage being done to the Feminist Mvmt, as well as to the Dem Party.

When people say they would like to see a woman in charge, I think it means they expect a woman will do things differently -- the Clinton Campaign is just More of the Same -- we might as well just keep Bush

McCain/Laura Bush?

The Feminist movement elevated the scarlet woman 'Kristen' in the Spitzer debacle I see.
It served well through Silda's dilemma.
There already was a restatement of the movement in progress.
All of 'this' will serve to bring an improvement upon the original concept. Roar.

Next time I misspeak, I will excuse myself as having had a “Ferraro Moment.”

Ferraro has been on victim overdrive since Bush Sr. bragged how he’d “kicked a little ass” in the 1984 vice presidential debate. She’s been on the down ramp since.

She proved a costly drag on the Mondale ticket with the drip-by-drip debacle over releasing her and her husband’s tax returns. In 1985, he pleaded guilty in a fraudulent scheme to obtain bank financing.

In her second failed attempt at the NY Senate seat in 1998, her opponent accused her of “running on the fumes of fame.” After squandering an early 27% lead in the polls, the electorate caught the aroma, giving her only 26% of their votes in a primary runoff against Chuck Schumer. Her campaign was bedeviled by fundraising problems, campaign mismanagement and inconsistent messaging.

She has resurfaced again propelled by the fumes of fame. Only this time, she has done for herself what voters wouldn’t do for her – stopped her permanent slide into complete oblivion.

It's a sorry day when people are labeled racist for stating a fact. That's what the AA community is doing to anyone who speaks the truth when it comes to this Obama fraud. Check out what this fuckin racist preacher-man, who Obama considers to be just a kindly old uncle, had to say about America and white people. If Obama doesn't agree with what this douchebag asshole is saying then why does he go to his church? Could it be that he will take help from ANYONE to get his sorry ass elected? The last time I heard of anyone getting the support of 80-90% of blacks in this country was when that murdering bastard OJ was aquitted.

You want a color-blind society then BE color-blind.

So now Obama is like OJ?

Just between you and me.....I have a little secret for you...don't tell anyone, ok? Just between you and me...

...Clinton received 83% and 84% of the black vote in 1992 and 1996.

I guess Bill Clinton is a racist as well.

Sorry to bust you bigot world bubble or if you are not a bigot, you are allowing your anger related to Hillary failing you turn you into a bigot. You need to choose who you want to be right now. A Democrat or a bigot? Because your words tell me it is that clear to me.

Some of us people of color don't want a "color blind" society. We would like a society where people see us for who we are.

Geraldine Ferraro's comment is very appealing who want to feel like at the end of the day, it's the *white* person who gets screwed.

Yep, being black is such an advantage! (Let's not mention being absolutely talented, with one of the tightest run political campaigns and amazing grassroots support.)

Yeah all white people have it made, that's right. Can't infringe on black America's RIGHT to be eternally offended by all things not black. I take people one at a time. How about you? BTW, if i were an AA, I might vote for Obama too. That does not mean to say, HE is above criticism. When you irresponsibly accuse someone of racism, better be prepared for a powerful backlash. Because the MSM LOVES Obama, they are happy to propagate the kind of crap we're seeing about Ms. Ferraro but a lot of folks are REALLY tired of walking on eggs and having to get AA prior approval for ANY comment made against this guy. Remember when Cuomo used the phrase "shuck and jive"? Holy crap, you would have thought he said Obama was pimping out his daughter.

Normally, my response to this headline is, "at such time it has been determined that Hell has frozen over". However, that day came on Jan. 11, 2008 http://afp.google.com/article//ALeqM5huPkYk4bGVvo1Sa1tWeH-tgENiFw)
So, I will apologize to Ms. Ferraro. I am so sorry you are bigot and cannot see your own bigotry.

I was originally an Edwards supporter who switched to Clinton once he dropped out. I'm still a Clinton supporter and believe strongly she would be a better president.

Regardless, I am first and foremost a liberal Democrat, and I put placing a Democrat in the White House, and as many Democrats in Congress as possible, above all else. So, that being said, even I think it's time for someone to put a stop to the self-destruct mechanism. I believe Clinton when she says she's in this to the end, but I also believe the superdelagates have the ability to decide when that end will be. That time is now. I know this means throwing full support to Obama, and deciding the nomination now. But I think that's for the best.

The Republicans are going to beat up on whoever is nominated, so let the beating start now, while there's time to counter and refute. I don't think Obama has many skeletons in his closet, but I do think the experience issue is an issue, albeit a minor one. And Republicans have a habit of making mountains of mud out of a teaspoon of dirt. I'd rather have Obama begin learning that in March/April rather than September so he knows how to pummel McCain in May and not a month before the general election.

This election is too important. A Democrat in the White House, and larger Democratic majorities in both houses. Let's go.

Thank you, Geraldine. Thank you for reminding us of what we have to look forward to, a future that puts angry self serving bigotry such as yours in the well deserved place it's earned... in the past. It's too bad that we'll have to move on without you.

Let me the first to apologize to Mrs. Ferrero for be offended by her comments that some how Senator Obama is less qualified then a "generic" fill in the name white man.

Again I apologize for not realizing how lucky I am to have black skin when pulled over by the local law enforcement agency for driving an expensive car while being black.

Geraldine might need to spend a little time out in the neighborhoods and less time fund raising.

Again i apologize for being offended by her idiotic comments.

By the way it is day three. If the Clinton folks really wanted this to go away. They would have muzzled her by now.
At some point the campaign's leader = candidate has to start to taking some responsibility for he words of official and unofficial folks who interject themselves into the campaign.

Obama did it with Powers and Farrakhan.
McCain did it with the dolt over in Cinncy.
I will let the Hillary supporters explain in whatever twisted logic they choose how anyone in the Obama campaign owes Ferrero an apology.

I haven to omit Hillary's people are starting to take a toll on me. As a Democrat I was prepared for the Repubs to force Obama to wallow in the dirt by injecting race, affirmative action, his name and some ambiguity into the race.
However, I never expected this from people who claim to be such paragons of Civil Rights and supporters of Equal opportunities for African Americans.

I hope there is fall out from this in the Democratic party. Fall out against not just the Clinton's and anyone associated with this campaign in the future but also fallout against the "LEADERS" in the party who have sat by and said nothing about this in a public forum.
It is not leadership to make some tacit and lukewarm appeal to all involved to stay above the fray.
At some point individual events should be condemned on their own. It is the height of cowardice to cloak yourself in a general appeal as Rep. Pelosi did recently because it does no good. There is no comparison between the level of hate being spewed from the Clinton campaign and the Obama campaign's effort to block this crap.
She has essentially allowed her surrogates to call him an uppity black man, incompetent, lazy, shallow and soon I expect the N-word to surface. I have yet to her him question her qualifications because of her gender, call her a bitch (in fact her own followers call her one and revel in it as some badge of honor), question her service to the country or imply the world will end if she is elected, float the idea that she should "settle" for a VP job. In fact he has bend over backwards to say kind things about her and McCain.

I am proud of how Obama has conducted himself. However, I am embarrassed to be a Democrat and I think I really need to re-examine why it is that I should support candidates from this party when they remain silent during this type of mudslinging by Ms. Clinton and her surrogates.
This isn't hardball politics. It is scumball politics.

Sorry Gerry. Sorry that you think the Obama camp called you racist. They said no such thing. You remarks are racist.

You're correct, racism works both ways: as a white, your racist remarks are offensive.

Sorry Gerry, but don't go and blame others for your feelings. Own them. They're yours. No one made you feel that way, only you did. Why act so surprised when what went out of your mouth reaps the negative energy it was deliberately designed to? Sorry you didn't learn this 20 years ago.

Sorry. Don't take this personally, but you're a world class fuckup.

Sorry to say this: shut up. My momma told me that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. And on the other hand, never hesitate to speak truth to power, even if it is negative. People who hold themselves to a higher standard deserve it.

Sorry that you still haven't discovered that you're swimming in white affirmative action. I would say "sorry" to the rest of the world, but you're not my responsibility. Only you can own up, so please own up, then shut up.

If Ferraro had said "If Obama were a white male Senator with an equivalent skimpy record of accomplishments in the Senate, he would not have drawn the support and excitement he has" would she be called racist? If someone on the Obama team made the same statement about Clinton, would that be sexist? How is saying a Democratic electorate looking for change gets more excited about non-white-male candidates racist?

Hillary Clinton says a ballot that includes only her name is a "fair" vote that should be "honored".

Really. That's a "principled" belief of hers.

Democrats are laughable. Clinton's Soviet-style ballot in Michigan will be counted, and she will be installed as the nominee, despite losing both the popular vote and the elected delegate count.

Because no one dare go against the Clinton attack machine.

Obviously, this is all Obama's fault; he's guilty of "campaigning while Black". Ferraro was merely pointing out that faux pas.

Leaving aside the substance of what Ferraro said, back in the day she would have been referred to as "that old battle-ax".
