Can you imagine waht 8 years of Hillary Clinton in the White House would be like.....does America really want to find out?

I don't want to start World War 3 here but I have one simple question. If Obama were running as a white man, would he get 91% of the black vote? Hillary is white. Is she getting 91% of white vote. Hillary is also a woman, is she getting 91% of the female vote?
Ferraro only was pointing out a statistical fact about this election so far. Obama is overwhelmingly getting the support of the black population, disproportionate to another other group/demographic. It's dangerous - not for the Clinton camp but rather for the Obama camp not to recognize this landslide of support and to realize that the more unbalanced that ratio becomes, the more devicise this primary becomes. Whites weren't flocking to HIllary but slowly there is a surge of that - most of it completely unrelated to what the Clinton camp is doing but rather what they are doing to themselves. It's in Obama's best interest not to fall into the race card debate because it's stupid. The haters are always going to be there and talk. Saying that half of the Democratic party or folks supporting Hillary are racist is not going to bring people together. The fact that media is having a field day with this debate proves how in the bag the media is not for Obama or Clinton but for themselves and no matter who wins, they'll want the one who helps them sell the most advertising.

Obama is getting 91% of the vote of a group that makes up 13% of the population. Why so many people keep ignoring that, I have no clue.

Gore got 90% of the black vote in 2000, and I wouldn't be surprised if Lincoln got 100%. They were both white. Some one on the board said that you really have to screw up for Black people to abandon you. Bob Johnson, Magic Johnson, and Keyshawn Johnson are solidly behind Clinton. CongressWoman Tubbs of Ohio campaigned for Hillary, and will probably lose her seat sometime down the line because of it.

Obama is not getting the black vote because he went after it, Hilary gave it to him with her stupid backwards campaign.

Blacks historically vote as a bloc. Bill Clinton got 82 and 84% of the black vote. Blacks have historically voted for whites period-- the problems seems to be that only the well educated, erudite and wealthy whites can even stomach the possibility of voting for a black Those whites with lower incomes and limited exposure to professional Blacks just can't stomach voting for the black guy. This is such a sad day .

Saying that the half that voted for Obama is sexist isn't going to solve anything, either. I have never told anyone who voted for Clinton that they are racist simply because of their vote, and I haven't seen anyone else who has, either, so I don't think your assessment's quite fair.

After this "fight" is over, the MSM will start beating up on Obama -- just you wait and see. Of course, it will be done with a wink and a nod, not a commentary by Keith Olbermann. I'm going to see how Keith reacts when push comes to shove, and see which party he is really supporting when we get closer to the election. The attention given to this "fight," by the MSM is doing nothing for the Democratic party and I'm sure Karl Rove is just loving his "retirement."

Hillary's not getting 91% of ANY vote. That's her problem.

CONCEDE.

The real problem here is the press. They're so frightened somebody might call them racist that they've treated Obama with kid gloves, and totally lost sight of the fact that such a charge may be without merit.

Obama certainly hasn't been overly sensitive. However, some of his more extreme supporters have a tendency to unleash torrents of abuse on anyone who is the least bit critical of him. Add to this the indisputable fact that the press have been grossly unfair to people of colour over the years and it's a can't-fail recipe for lousy coverage.

Ferrarro is a joke. Either she was a lot smarter in '84, or Mondale had serious problems with "the judgment thing".

Olbermann, meanwhile, is brilliant as always.

This woman is a radical, extreme feminist and she's also INSANE!!!

Hillary and her feminazi ilk are trying to start a race and gender war. That's some proof of her leadership skills!

She could potentially be a worse President than Bush! She will just divide the country further. I just don't understand how ANYONE could vote for or support her?

Obama has just released his latest earmark report. He ask the Senator Clinton do the same and she will not. For those of you who want to know what the senator has done, check it out:

Senator Barack "He's Sane" Obama is running a brilliant campaign. Unlike any DEM candidate since LBJ, Obama has every base covered and will not let the opposition derail the discussion with petty non-issues.

Seeing Obama running circles around Hillary proves that Obama can not only play hard ball, but play it the smart way. While Hillary and McCain rely on fear and baiting, Obama relies on his wit and common sense.

Obama is the man we need at the White House, a man who can play hard ball with our opponents and play it the smart way, unless America wants more bullshit and fear mongering, in which case they can feel free to vote for Hillary or McCain.

Geraldine, when you have bad breath you're always the last one to realise that fact!

Someone has to break the news, you can accept it, or, you can deny it, don't blame the messenger!

G. Ferraro is a 20 year out of date politician looking to get another 15 minutes of fame. Her world has passed her by. She should stay out of this one.

Let's test Ms Ferarros' theory out here. Pretend that Obama is white and otherwise has the exact same qualifications.

The following things happened in the run-up to the SC primary
1. Bill Clinton said that Obama's claim of being consistently anti-war was a fairytale. Both the media and the Obama campaign twisted it to appear that he had said Obama's entire campaign was a fairytale and called it racist. If Obama was white, there would have been no outrage at this at all. And, you can't believe Clinton wouldn't have said the same thing if Obama was white.
2. Mr Shaheen discussed Obama's youthful drug use and how the republicans might use that against him in the general election. This was immediately called racist. In 1992, no one was outraged at the questions about whether Bill did or did not inhale. In 2000 no one was outraged when we discussed GW's alcohol and drug use. So, if Obama was white, there would have been no outrage at Shaheen's statement. And, you can't claim that Shaheen wouldn't have made the same atatement if Obama was white.
3. Mark Penn appeared on Chris Mathews show and was asked directly to comment on the Shaheen comments. In doing so, he repeated the word cocaine twice and was immediately called racist by Joe Trippi. If Obama was white, no one would have been outraged at the use of the word cocaine.
4. Bill Clinton was on the Charlie Rose show and said that a vote for Obama would be a 'roll of the dice' because of his lack of experience. The next day Chris Matthews called it a thinly veiled racist comment. He said it was designed to make people conjure up pictures of black men shooting dice in urban alleyways.

All of these FALSE accusations of racism were what led up to SC. And these false charges were a part of the reason that the black vote started to shift from Clinton to Obama. If Obama was white, none of the false charges would have been made. Clinton who had a very large lead in the black vote would have continued to have that lead and would have won in SC. Go forward to Super Tuesday. How many states that Clinton won, would she have won by even more if she had not lost a major part of the black vote? And, both Alabama and Georgia were held on Super Tuesday, Clinton would have likely won there too if she had not lost the support of blacks.

Without all the charges of racism, do you honestly believe a 1st term white senator from IL would have beaten Clinton in any of the southern states with large black populations based on the Clitnon's reputation in the black community before?

The media was more than willing to participate in these false claims of racism. And, as you recall, Tim Russert asked Obama about his own campaign's use of the charges of racism during a debate when he showed him a 4 page memo from the Obama campaign detailing exactly how to use these charges to their advantage.

Obama has done the same thing again in Miss. He was asked in the last debate about the picture of him in African dress that appeared on Drudge. On national TV he said he believed that Clinton had no knowledge of it and wanted to put it behind them. On national TV, he wanted to look like the nice guy and be above it all. Then while campaigning in Miss, he directly charged the Clinton campaign with being responsible for the distribution of the photo.

This has nothing to do with race, its about jaded careless talk. That's what gets people roiled. Cynical jaded boastful careless talk. And more of generational disconnect than anything. What is more Reagan Era than Gerry Ferraro. What is more behind in the times, that Gerry making the same statements in 2008 as she did in 1988. It's a cynical generational disconnect ans she does not get it. Gerry like Bill Clinton and their ilk think that Obama - is Jesse Jackson. But Obama does not have the chip on his shoulder that Jesse or Gerry have. It's generational

Spot on, Geraldine.

Axelrod, who decided to exploit this for political gain, should be fired by the Obama campaign.

Both Obama and Clinton are historic candidates because one is an AA and another is a woman. To claim that this somehow racist is delusional stupid. If they were not historic because of this, we would be watching Edwards/Kucinich nominaton fight
