Here is an example from Lessig. It is 20 minutes long but worth the listen:

Maybe they can use some of the Jeremiah Wright video in their ads! Yes, we can!

They carry weight-- they are the young rat pack of hollywood-- just like JFK had his young rat pack back then...

I think Ben has a future in politics if he so chooses. I would however, if I were him, step away from this project.
01:24 AM on 03/15/2008
Wow....
Two more men I had hope for that are not studying the issues
So much for a vote for Ben if he ever decides to run for public office..
He is about as deep as a mud puddle in a parking lot!!!

Did you hear about Matt and Ben?!! Why... could it be?!?

Yes. they can!

I think they're f*cking Mrs. Clinton!
(Oh yeah, they're f*cking Mrs. Clinton!)
But they won't do it in a bed...!
Matt and Ben f*cking Mrs. Clinton
(Oh yeah, they're f*cking Mrs. Clinton!)
but in a voting booth instead!

In Pennsylvania, in Guam,
In Carolina... get it on!

Matt and Ben f*cking Mrs. Clinton...
(Oh yeah, they're f*cking Mrs. Clinton!)
...because I think they've had enough!
Matt and Ben f*cking Mrs. Clinton
(Oh yeah, they're f*cking Mrs. Clinton!)
and the choice wasn't even tough.

Revealing earmarks and income tax.
Obama's sharp, where Hillary's lax.
On Iraq and now Iran,
it's damn clear Barack's their man!

Move On rocks and kick ars.
02:24 PM on 03/14/2008
They should do an "I'm f@cking Obama video!" LOL
08:58 AM on 03/14/2008
I think it strengthens Hillary's positions. These people in Hollywood have no idea (anymore) what life in these United States is like now. Most Americans know this. It is the "whatever" generation that these folks represent anyway. SO, "whatever".

Hilary didn't seem to mind when Ben Affleck campaigned for her in NY State during her 2000 Senate run. I stopped watching anything he was in after that, since he obviously didn't need my money if he had time to campaign in a state where he didn't live for a candidiate who also didn't live there.

Guess I'll have to start buying tickets to his movies again....

Way to go, Mr. Cynical!

Insult them when they're not being politically active and giving a damn...
... and insult them when they are.

There's no winning with you, Mr. Cynical!

While Matt Damon is f***ing Sarah Silverman I'll borrow his wife. The man has great taste in women. Outside of that, I could care less what his political stance entails.
10:15 PM on 03/13/2008
who cares what actors think? Like I'm going to vote for Obama just because Matt Damon and all the "cool" people like him? This is an insult to the average American. How shallow do you think we are? Actors live in an entirely different world than most of us.
But, I guess it does follow a certain pattern: No Substance!
11:12 PM on 03/13/2008
LOL!!!!!!! Suddenly Clinton supporters don't care what actors think!!!! LOL!!!!
03:17 PM on 03/14/2008
That's because they are doing their best to mimic the stances of the Republican Party.

Actors may run in different circles than you do,but we all live in the same world. The fact that you are voting for old Greedy and vicious Hillary shows that you're very shallow and you have no substance.
06:24 PM on 03/13/2008
Oh great. More movies to boycott.

30 Seconds is a lot of time to fill it with bogus experience but not enough for an Obama speech.

They can always use Hillary's bogus claims. Hey! I recently heard that it was Hillary who advised Nixon to vist China, and Kissinger took most of the credit. The same thing they did to her in Russia. She is the one who came up with perestroika, nor Gorbachev.
11:27 PM on 03/13/2008
I think you have the makings of a good commercial there....

You also forgot to mention that she discovered FIRE.

It's obviously enough time for an old, ineffective Hillary talking point.
