The Democratic presidential ticket will be a "Dream Team," Nancy Pelosi said Thursday, it just won't have both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama's name on it.

Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, the House Speaker reiterated comments she made earlier in the week that the two presidential candidates will not end up sharing a ticket.

"I do think we will have a dream team, it just won't be those two names," She said. "Whoever our nominee is and whoever he or she is and whoever he or she chooses, will be a dream team as the Democrats go forward."

When pressed further about the possibility of a joint ticket, Pelosi stated flatly, "Take it from me, that won't be the ticket."

Keep reading here.

Watch the video below:

On Tuesday, Pelosi deemed a joint ticket with Obama and Clinton "impossible," citing Clinton's statements that McCain would make a more experienced commander-in-chief than Obama. ">Read more and watch the video here.

I think Hillary can find someone much more qualified than Obama for V.P.

If Hillary has any say in the VP selection, it will be because Obama asked for her opinion.

Hillary won't have to worry about a VP......she will have her hands full repairing her image as a junior NY senator....would be no surprise if she has a primary opponent next go-round after the filth she has wallowed in.

First she has to find some qualifications to be president herself

How true!!!! NP has seen what a nasty and divisive and incompetent campaign HRC ran that she is signalling to them to stop the nastiness and get on to talking avout the issues that matter to people(the same blue colored workers she need to vote for her).......she might be saying too that the Supers are paying attention to who is conducting themselves like a president on the trail....no new slogans for every state, meltdown before a primary and negative ads to the point of abusive(meet in ohio to debate), the brilliant mocking of Obama in RI...she can join her friends in Hollywood if she does not get the nomination...because I do not know how she will survive when she banked the farm on it!!!!!

Poll: Hillary’s negative rating rivals Santorum’s

BY BORYS KRAWCZENIUK
STAFF WRITER

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has something in common with former Republican Sen. Rick Santorum. A large percentage of Pennsylvania voters dislike both of them.

In fact, greater percentages of voters here have consistently viewed Mrs. Clinton unfavorably than Mr. Santorum, according to a review of data from a respected statewide poll.

The data could buttress arguments by Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign that Mrs. Clinton, if she wins the Democratic presidential nomination, might not be able to defeat Arizona Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, in the Keystone State. ...

The problem is that those unfavorable ratings include republcans and democrats. So while she's favored to win the democratic primary, Obama does better statewide. Of course, that's because...as of yet...Hillary hasn't been able to drive his negatives up among democrats and independents as high as hers.

I think Nancy Pelosi has hit the nail on the head. I also proposed a dream ticket where Billary will be vice-president. This angered Obama voters and supporters, so like Nancy has said, it will never happen.

the Clinton brand has been forever tarnished. They have not just lost this race, they have lost much more. It is sad, they could have been such a force for positive in the world, instead they will be just a failed footnote in history. The potential was astonishing! They just frittered it away for the promise of power. Real power is in doing the right thing even when it might cost you.
Goodbye Clintons and I am sorry to say, good riddance.

The Democratic party is overflowing with qualified candidates, for all positions.
The Republican party cannot say the same.

Obama speaking to Gore.
Obama speaking to Edwards.
Pelosi says no dream ticket.
Richardson says Dems should coalesce behind DELEGATE leader.
Team Hillary frustrated with Dean.

It seems as though a pattern is emerging here. I believe we may see a tectonic shift towards Obama BEFORE the PA primary.

That sounds like a woman on the ticket, but NOT Hillary.

Could be Sebelius.

Could be Napolitano.

Could also be Biden or Richardson.

Could it be Nancy Pelosi? Barbara Boxer?
Both have strong feminist credentials, and unlike Hillary, both are self made women.

Why don't you get back to the House Nancy and start some impeachment proceedings and stop wasting the nation's time commenting on what will and will not happen with Obama and Clinton.

Clintonism isn't about democracy or meritocracy. It's about loyalty. If, in some parallel universe where she ran a better campaign, Hillary Clinton were the nominee, she would pick somebody loyal to the family, somebody who she can shove in front of a bus should it become personally convenient. Bill picked Al Gore. Hillary would have picked Evan Bayh. They like easy-going, boring people. Obama isn't boring enough. People would take his side if he got screwed over.

Obama needs a VP with unquestionable foreign policy credibility and a record of speaking truth to power. Webb would be fine, but it would be nice to have someone older and greyer. How about Admiral William Fallon, who just resigned from his command of all US forces in the Middle East in protest of our policy toward Iran? I think that would be a very strong ticket.

Frankly, after listening to Clinton with her scorched earth approach, and watching Obama as he tiptoes around trying not to look too aggressive, I'm kind of hoping that they will both end up gutting each other by the time they walk into the Convention with neither one having any possibility of getting a clean nomination or winning in November. At that point, they can bring Edwards into the hall and a simple nomination from the floor should get him the spot by acclamation. He can then put his own choice on the ticket as V.P., e.g., Biden or Dodd. That's my Dream Ticket.

And I could win the lottery,

And I could get some of the most beautiful women,

And I could run with the jet set,

And I could become a famous singer,

And I could play the gituar like Jimi Hendricks.

Enough already, it ain't going to happen.

Taking responsibility:

"Over the course of my public life, I have insisted--I believe correctly--that people regardless of their position or power take responsibility for their conduct," Eliot Spitzer said. "I can and will ask no less of myself. For this reason, I am resigning from the office of governor."

Weasling:

"I did not have sex with that woman" Clinton said, "Miss Lewinsky, not one time ..."

Why put the latter back in the White House?

Time to move on ...
