Dems Sign On For More Debates — Will Katie Get Her Day?

It looks like Katie Couric may finally get her chance to moderate a Presidential debate. ABC News' Ed O'Keefe reports,

Both candidates have accepted an ABC News debate in Philadelphia and Obama has accepted a similar invitation from CBS News to debate at a location to be determined in North Carolina.

The CBS News debate would be their first debate of the 2008 campaign season.

Couric is, notoriously, the only prominent anchor, on cable or network news, to not moderate a debate in this extensive primary season (there have been 20 debates thus far). CBS News was forced to cancel their planned December debate due to complications from the Writers' Guild of America strike, though the New York Observer also speculated that CBS was reluctant to shell out the money necessary for a primetime debate.

Katie was so kool in Iraq. At least she admitted all of her stories were spoon fed by the military brass (there was actually no reason for her to be there). One of Katie's favorite tales was that Petraeus had bought some Sunni Sheiks under his wing. Not reported when she returned was that the main Fake Sheik was murdered that same week, and another fled the country with a bag full of Petraeus dollars. Details are not your style Katie. Go for the entertainment angle, ok.

Katie is designated hit man at the networks when they want to take a candidate out. if I were Obama I would not accept Couric as "moderator" because moderating is not what she will be up to.

"Katie" Couric. The aging diva with the little girl name, is a right-wing marionette with a mind so vacuous that she has to be pointed to the correct teleprompter. How can a talking head this light weight "anchor" anything?
