Parents of a supposedly "genius baby" went on "Today" this week to show off their incredible offspring to the world. They claim this 17-month old can read, but after seeing this next clip, it looks like Baby needs some more practice before her next appearance.

The next clip appears to be pretty dated, but the interwebs are only starting to appreciate its greatness this week. When an anchorman and a reporter from Fox 5's "Good Day NY" decide to vent their hate for each other on-air, hilarity ensues. Skip ahead to the 50 second mark for the good stuff.

CW premiered a new season of "Beauty and the Geek" this week, where socially-awkward guys are paired up with attractive girls to compete for $250,000. This season has no shortage of intellectually-challenged hotties. Check out the worst of the worst below.

From CW 3/11/08.

Those last girls have nothing on our next video star, who's answer to the question "What role did your family play for you as candidate for Binibining Pilipinas?" makes Miss South Carolina look like Carl Sagan.

Finally this week, a hilarious promotional video that is sweeping the net this week, Fred and Sharon's masterpiece: "Who Needs A Movie?". From what I can tell, these people are the real deal. And why wouldn't they be? With Sharon's over-the-top enthusiasm, Fred's Oscar-worthy editing skills, and animation that rivals Pixar, this video has the makings of an instant internet classic.

I think somebody needs to watch the video again...

The headline says illiterate baby. Now a literate baby, that would be newsworthy.

Cute baby...nice to see more parents getting in their 15 seconds of fame from their children. Next thing you know it they'll have a show on TLC right after yet another show on the family in OK with 20 kids.

It's not fair to judge that Filipino beauty queen so harshly. Unlike Miss South Carolina, English is obviously not her first language and she had trouble finding the right words. If she were answering in her native tongue, I'm sure she would have been far more articulate.

As for Beauty and the Geek, woe to a marriage of 2 such people. They might end up having kids with HER brains and HIS looks.

This is what happens when there is no natural selection

I think it has more to do with culture and upbringing.

The women on Beauty and the Geek probably have a lot of potential (didn't one go on after the 2nd season to apply to medical school, once she realized she did have brains).

It's difficult to generalize. But the problem may be that they have been focusing on their looks instead of cultivating their minds, and encouraged by those surrounding them who act like it's "cute" or acceptable that they don't flex their brains.

Who needs a movie?

Not me!

Classically bad, thanks for the laugh, HuffPo.

ANCHOR VS. REPORTER...

My favorite. Head to head live on national TV. Reality TV meets MSM!

I saw that segment on "Today". The little girl is sharp. The ones who think it's somehow a put-on or a hoax, have no clue. This clip doesn't tell the whole story.

I watched this clip this morning on MSNBC internet. She did not say cat balls - she also went on to read the cursive word baby. Even if she did say cat balls, at less than 2 the words this video showed her reading were amazing. Why must we always take something and try to make it less or more than it is? Shame on the person who made this clip and cherry picked what they wanted and left the rest out. The baby clearly went on to say throw the ball.

Good point. Actually I think Cat Balls was the President after Higley or was it Theodore?

Not to mention all of Bush's supporters. Bird-brains of a feather and all that.

I'm sorry, the rest of these clips might be amusing, but that baby is definitely smarter, cuter and more literate than many adults. Do not diss the baby.

Hey, the little baby missed a couple of words. Lets pile on and attack the kid!

C'mon, it's fun!

A taste of blood in the morning really gets ya going to face the day. Next, we can surround a blind guy who can't tell you what the sky looks like at the moment. Maybe we can coax a cat to bark like a dog and then pack it in for the night.

Ignorant is not the same as stupid. Virtually nobody posting here has a clue how to fly, dock or land the Space Shuttle, but up they go and back they return. There are different kinds of intelligence. Those girls are ignorant. Ignorance is repairable. Pride in how ignorant one is, can certainly border on stupidity.

You've got to love the movie makers!!! Not a moment too soon ... what with the over the top political madness we often see here at Huffpo! Fred and sharon are brilliant!

It was a hell of a lot better than Star Wars: Episode One, that's for sure.
