Obama Superdelegates

Bloomberg:

Barack Obama has pulled almost even with Hillary Clinton in endorsements from top elected officials and has cut into her lead among the other superdelegates she's relying on to win the Democratic presidential nomination.

Among the 313 of 796 superdelegates who are members of Congress or governors, Clinton has commitments from 103 and Obama is backed by 96, according to lists supplied by the campaigns. Fifty-three of Obama's endorsements have come since he won the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses, compared with 12 who have aligned with Clinton since then.

Maybe, untill Rev. Wright sermon surfaced, Barack HUSSEIN Obama could've made it close in PA. Not now, HE's done, he can't even be the VP now. He is not the Messiah, he's just another racist black man now, so get your feet back on the ground, & your head out of the clouds. The superdelegates will go to Hillary, c'mon you knew he was going to implode, it was only a matter of time. Barack HUSSEIN Obama, Go Home!

I am surprised that the super delegates have not run from Clinton when she came out at separate news conferences to endorse Sen. McCain over Obama. I don't know how much more they need to see that Obama would be the best candidate. When one of their own highly regarded members Endorses the other party's candidate just to win that tells me a story. This person wants to win at all cost even if it includes trashing your opponent in your own party for President.

This definitely is a "scorched earth" on the part of the Clintons. It was so blatetant that news commentators on CNN and MSNBC could not believe their ears.

I'm sure once the ugly religious card gets slung around the internet, the superdelegates will be fleeing back to Clinton where most of her dirty laundry is already out in the public domain. Too bad that none of our candidates will be able to pass the smell test except maybe Nader.

Abramoff GOP Lobbying Firm Indicted, Major HRC Donor Hotlist
by leveymg [Subscribe]
Fri Mar 14, 2008 at 06:46:16 AM PDT

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a major GOP partisan law and lobbying shop, has been indicted on federal charges in the Marianas Islands sweatshop case. The firm employed notorious political fixer Jack Abramoff.

Abramoff’s firm has a long history as a conduit for illegal foreign campaign contributions. GT were Bush's Campaign Lawyers during the 2000 Florida Recount, and is now a major donor to HRC's presidential campaign, according to the lastest FEC data.

Greenberg Traurig and the Tan Family, who are the center of the Saipan sweatshop and prostitution scandal, have both made large HRC campaign contributions.

In a odd coincidence, GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain chaired the Senate Committee which investigated Abramoff. As dengre has informed us, McCain's committee continues to withhold all but 8000 pages of the three-quarter of a million documents turned over to it.

This has the makings of a major presidential campaign blowup, if HRC gets the nomination.

Well superdelegates, you better wake up and smell the coffee, it is burning now, folks with the latest preacher revelations connected to their "Saint Obama'", Hope you change your minds before your careers go down the toilet, too.

We won't let unpatriotic people who defend the policies of the Bush administration, defend racial bigotry, defend oligarchy, defend acrimonious world domination, defend unfairness in foreign policy, people who are basically false patriots, lecture us on the patriotism of Obama, based upon the comments of his pastor decrying the policies of the US which have cause so much strife and antagonism in the world. It is Obama who is the one to heal and to create a better country and a safer world. Hillary and McCain would be more of the same, bought and paid for by corporate America, shrill, angry, tricks and hostility. They won't make the US better in any way. They will continue to destroy us. Obama is the only one our there right now who would begin the healing.

True....I was going to say, funny how fast some things change. With all the new revelations, bet all those folks who "switched" to him from Hillary are looking over their shoulders right about now.

Do you think there might be a connection between the facts stated in this article and the sudden appearance of cherry-picked snippets of sermons Wright preached some time ago? Is this one of the items in the "kitchen sink"? Superdelegates are not going to change their minds before they see how this "guilty by association" tactic plays out. Both the electorate and the superdelegates might just be smarter than you think.

Superdelegates are usually intelligent and savvy people, at least I hope they are, and I don't think they are going to drop Obama over one crisis. Evidently, they are climbing on board in droves. I think they see through Hillary.

I am not surprised. I am from the great State of Washington, and I only hope that Senators Patty Murrary and Maria Cantwell will support the the people who voted them in office, and switch their votes to Barack Obama.

As a New Yorker I voted proudly twice for Hillary Clinton.

As a California resident I was faced with the February Primary. I was actually even/steven. My candidate was Biden. I was literally on the fence.

There has not been one day since the February Primary that I have not registered stongly against Clinton and even more positively for Obama.

I suspect I am a typical voter. I suspect more Democrats that anyone can count have changed their allegiance to Obama.

I suspect a majority of us are now passionate supporters of Obama and cringe at the name of Clinton.

When I look at Barack Obama I do not see a color, race, etc. I see a man with a calm intensity and determination to change our country. He earned his very wise demeanor on the streets of South Chicago working with some of the poorest in our nation. He knows that there are many Americans, not just in South Chicago, but across this nation that are hurting, going bed hungry, and lacking proper if any healthcare. He's walked the talk. I see a President with real compassion and commitment in Barack Obama.

Now please may we discuss the issues!!!!
