I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Hillary Clinton

Newsday:

Close observers of yesterday's reports on the efforts of McCain and Obama to get Sen. Clinton to disclose her earmark requests going back to 2001 may have noticed a strange thing about the statement her office issued at the end of the day.

It said all manner of things about earmarks, and moratoriums, and funding, and accountability. But it never said whether she would disclose her earmark requests going back to 2001.

We spent today back-and-forthing a few more times by e-mail with her press office, and the exchanges made it pretty clear that the oversight was intentional. The plan seems to be that since the NY press has never obsessed over Hillary's earmark requests, she can safely not release them as long as she doesn't say she won't and doesn't say why she won't.

The monster is at it again. It is all about her. She is above the law and damn the citizens (who pay for her earmarks.)
Obama on the other hand, released his earmarks. Is transparent, enabling U.S. citizens to make a decision about his earmarks. And you will note that all of his earmarks are for non-profit organizations and not individuals, especially individuals who are donors to his campaign.
Yes, the monster is at it again. Why, please tell me, that we citizens allow clinton to do this????
We are as stupid as she is a monster.

Hillary Clinton has things to hide. Most politicians do. The thing I worry most about her hiding is her deep, strong tie to the republican party. She has stated that mccain is superior to Obama. That all by itself would make me not vote for her. She is as much an expert spinner of truth as is gwb. We all need to take a much closer, harsher look at her political records. Her personal records (why she stayed with Bill, etc.) are of no interest to me as they are none of my business or anyone else's. Her religion or Obama's do not affect me until someone tells me I am inferior to them because I do not worship as they do. The nonsense spewed by fools that terrorists "will be dancing in the streets" is just that. We will pay for some of our foolishness and I do not doubt we as a nation will pay sooner or late for bush's foolishness. I am mildly surprized that the world in general has let us get away with tolerating gwb for these last 5 years, once it was proven beyond any doubt that we attacked Iraq on the basis of lies. There are too many questions Hillary has left unanswered. Her earmarks are only one of them. Her taxes, where she stands on the huge tax cuts bush gave the super-rich, where she stands on the public's right to know, where she stands on reponse to the public will. She isn't the best choice. No one who changes direction with the breeze ever is.

Of course not. Mrs. Clinton once again has more reasons then Doan's makes pills for why her earmarks shouldn't be made public, while we are still waiting to see:

1. Tax returns that she could easily make available but doesn't want to. Why?
2. WH correspondence from her years as first lady which are ready to be made public but the Clintons are holding up the process, not GB as she keeps claiming. Why does she keep them hidden?
3. List of Clinton library donors. Why don't they want us to know?

We have been living through an administration for the last 7 years that has the same attitude about divulging information to the American people that Mrs. Clinton seems very prepared to carry on with.

Not only is there something she obviously does not want the public to see, but it is well past the time for her to come clean with the American people NOW.

I don't want one more secretive political representative who run on the merits of working for the people yet feel they don't have to answer to the people.

NO MORE SECRETS!

I hope everyone is paying attention to this window into how she would rule.

Of course she will not release her earmark list. It is quite extensive.
Since taking office in 2001, Clinton has delivered $500 million worth of earmarks that have specifically benefited 59 corporations. About 64% of those corporations provided funds to her campaigns through donations made by employees, executives, board members or lobbyists, a review by the Los Angeles Times shows.

H.C. has a lot to hide. She won't turn in a tax records, release of her earmarks information, and I am still not clear on her qualifications as to why she thinks she should be commander and chief of our nation. She is hiding something. She is not being honest with the voters. It's clear now why she has started the racial controversy with gender and race among black/white voters. She is keeping the media heat off her while the media goes after Obama; given her a time to secretly clean up her mess. By the way I saw the 3am ad as a racial insult rather than a national issue ad. Terrorist announce themselve's during the day; thieves and predators do things in the night. She refer this ad to a man breaking into someone's house and harming children whether It was black/white person. The ad pretty much discriminated against men, and it was directed towards African Americans men.
Ms. Clinton, I'm not going to vote for you. I was undecided before but now I know what to do. I can say this for Obama whether voter like or dislike his views of change. He has been making changing for the better by cleaning up his act. You issued apology to black voters but you didn't denouce or reject the things that were said. That say a lot about your character. Not this year Hillary. You need more time to get things straight with your home life first.

Obama gets raked over the coals, while Hillary can withhold her Earmark Requests, her Tax Returns, her White House Records, Bills Pardon Records ... she still hasn't identified any achievement that was her own ...

I mean, with Hillary Clinton, there's no there ... there.

Transparency. If the BO camp is intent on being as transparent as possible then THAT is one major difference between the two campaigns. HRC's MO continues to fall within the margins of old-time, insider political organizations who only shared vital information when they were forced to. Tax records, earmark campaigns...apparently there are some things that Clinton is not willing to share with the public.

I don't know about you, but I deserve and demand an honest, forthcoming POTUS, something we haven't had in a long, long time.

I am an Obama supporter (and will remain so), however his campaign crossed the line today. In supporrting Obama's position on earmarks, they compared Hillary to McCain. That is exactly the same tactic (albeit with less venom than Hillary) the Clinton campaign used on Obama with the Commander In Chief angle. I was outraged when Hillary did that and I am outraged now. Obama, GET YOUR PEOPLE UNDER CONTROL!

More Bush in a pantsuit every day! Keep all your income tax returns and earmarks your little secret, Ms. Clinton. We won't be needing them 'cuz you're not going to be anything but NY's junior senator for awhile.

Obama '08!

Heavens, her report may show exactly what every Senator does and that is try to get federal money for projects in their own districts. Isn't that what we elect them for.

The only problem with these reports is, they may show that someone got money for the business where their own wife works like Senator Obama did. It helps your career if you can get federal money for your major contributers also like Senator Obama did.

I just hope Senator Clinton will release her report so we can see if she has done the same legal bribery that Senator Obama has.

She won't release her taxes. She won't release the names of the donors for her husband's library (some of the pardons perhaps?) She won't release her records as First Lady. Should we be surprised she won't release the Earmarks? Her administration should she be elected will be more secretive than the Bush administration. Until recently I would have thought that quite impossible.

Who cares? Unless you are in NY none of your business. I don't care what Obama gets for IL. BTW, NY sends far more $$$$ to Washington than we get in return and that is a fact.

I love this quote from the story - "she plans to be absolutely transparent about stuff she hasn't done yet. Per spokesman Phillippe Reines: "We are now going above and beyond...the common practice on Capitol Hill and releasing all of our requests going forward.""
That's Ms. Clinton all over.
