The New York Post is reporting that the estranged wife of former New Jersey Gov. James McGreevey must have known he was gay, because they shared their bed with a handsome twenty-something aide:

In an explosive interview with The Post, the McGreeveys' longtime man-in-the-middle, Teddy Pedersen, recounted explicit details of alleged, titillating, three-way sex romps he had with the now-divorcing duo, starting during their courtship and continuing into the marriage.

Pedersen - who said he has already spilled the beans on the steamy ménage a trios arrangement under oath in a deposition for the couple's divorce battle - hinted that he thinks his presence was required to get Jim's motor running for Dina.

Matos McGreevey's basic claim in her divorce war with the former Garden State gov is her argument that he covered up his homosexuality and tricked her into a loveless marriage.

Pedersen - who is named in Matos McGreevey's court papers - agreed to talk about the reputed unconventional relationship after Dina repeatedly sounded off to the media last week about Eliot Spitzer's sex scandal and blasted the fallen pol as a hypocrite.

"It's frustrating to hear her call Gov. Spitzer a hypocrite while she's out there being as dishonest as anyone could be about her own life," said Pedersen, 29.

"She's framed herself as a victim - yet she was a willing participant, she had complete control over what happened in her relationship," he said.

"She was there, she knew what was happening, she made the moves. We all did. It's disgusting to watch her play the victim card."

What seems to be interesting is the no hold barred availability of all formerly taboo closeted secrets. The gay NJ gov and his Barbie in a ménage a trios: Steamy stuff; the NY luv gov and the hip hop whore? It is getting very interesting. It seems like someone has breathed life into the skeletons kept dead as dry bones for many years and all these sex, lies, dirty salacious, titillating scandalous secrets are on their way out. And somebody somewhere is holding open the closet door. Whose downfall is next? I can’t wait to find out.

It seems that its the same people on here who continue to say that this type of stuff belongs in the bedroom, are always the first to continue dragging it through the mud. Gotta love hippicrisy:)

You are right of course. Sptizer is a better class of pervert. He hangs out in better establishments and I am sure he only thought progressive thoughts when he did what ever he did.

This is the result of society villifying gays and lesbians, you have people who hide their true natures to conform to society, their family and their religion. So people end up living a lie. I'm a lesbian and I lived a heterosexual life because I was told that women like me were "dirty" and it was "unnatural". Well, I certainly felt natural but had to date men. I still feel bad about all the boys and men I was involved with before I came out, that I wasn't being honest with them or myself.

It's time for society to stop this nonsense about gays and lesbians, give them their right to marry if they wish, let people live authentic lives instead of living in deceit. And think about the children of such unions, they are the real innocents, to have parents who don't really love each other and are together for lots of other reasons. It reminds me that marriage is a property negotiation (from the old days). People who want to be together should be together.

Stop the insanity!

"People who want to be together should be together."

Does that include Mormons and polygamy? If your answer is yes then you're consistent.

Yes, indeed. You might also expect a little more introspection and understanding on Mrs. McGreevey's part for her ex-husband, assuming she really didn't have a clue all along. Spouses like her often feel angry and betrayed but few seem to make the effort to understand how our profoundly homophobic society can easily cause some homosexual men and women to live public lives of deceitful heterosexuality.

It's a vicious divorce battle -- unfortunately sometimes divorces get nasty, and when they do, the spouse will throw the kitchen sink at the other spouse, which is what has happened in this case.

McGreevey was in the wrong, in my view, if he knew that he was gay when he married Matos. It appears that this was the case, which means what he did was deceitful. There are other cases of men who have doubts about their own sexuality, but marry and only later learn that they are not straight and can't live a straight life comfortably. I have much more sympathy for them, because they were not actively deceiving their partners, and also it's likely that their own inability to assess their own sexuality correctly in younger years was due, in part, to the homophobic culture and an internalization of certain aspects of that. So, in my book, these are two different situations.

Right on. Gay here, too. I spent most of my life closeted. Am now outrageously happily partnered spending our "golden years" seeing the world (and messing around -- on the blogs). :) When the repugs are out, perhaps people will lighten up.

Did anyone else look at that picture and think it was David Archuleta from American Idol? Now, that would be truly funny. Judge that "performance" Simon Cowell.

The Post article mentions that Pederson lives with his girlfriend of several years. It's ironic that While McGreevey was pretending to be straight, Pederson may have been pretending to be gay in order to keep his job.

What you never heard of bisexuals?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:48 PM on 03/17/2008

Yup.

How about the more likely? Pederson is biw as he was then -- a swing man.

His girlfriend is either up to speed and cool with it, a beard, or yet another all-American Brokeback spouse-in-waiting.

Pretending to be gay to be NJ's Homeland Security chief I might concede, but a driver? Puleeze.

Why do I care about this again? Didn't McGreevey resign almost two years ago? What they did on their bedroom way back when was their business.

Such as thing as a mfm 3-way tryst is not so unusal out there in suburban America---there are plenty of people engaging in activity such as this----it would not surprise me that the McGreeveys did this--and that the Mrs. is trying to spin it that she had nothing to do with it and she was the victim----but I tend to believe the little lover boy in this instance.

What amazes me is how willing so many of you are to believe this little gay kid? He can say whatever he wants, with no proof and you all take him at this word. What has he got to lose by lieing? Nothing and everything to gain. now he can get some attention, get on some V tabloid shows, up his gay sexuality appeal big time for years to come.

"It's frustrating to hear her call Gov. Spitzer a hypocrite while she's out there being as dishonest as anyone could be about her own life," said Pedersen, 29.

I agree. Yeah, I saw her SANCTIMONIOUSLY selling her VICTIMIZATION on The Larry King Show. I always thought, at the VERY LEAST, that she had to have known he was gay AT SOME POINT in their marriage. But NOW it seems she knew BEFORE they entered into their "marriage of convenience & concealment".

I have NO sympathy for HER, but have (and STILL DO) harbor sympathy for her ex-husband who, in past homophobic times of TOTAL INEQUALITY, had to be "not gay, never been gay" in order to seek and secure GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT.

This necessity to HIDE one's sexual orientation is a NON-PARTISAN issue. The "Gay Agenda" will disappear when The GLBT Community can SAFELY be TRUE TO THINE OWN SELF in this country.

Stay safe, healthy and happy,
Love, Loretta

Selling it like a brand, I agree, is ridiculous. I think she may have made a deal for her monetary benefits and the spotlight. Playing the victim just extends it. I'm glad someone spoke up. Women have to stop doing that.

Has no one noticed how child-like he appears? At 29 now, he must've been in his early 20s then, and from the photo, he looked like a non-shaving 15 year old, wet behind the ears and elsewhere. That angle alone makes this even more bizarre. The NOTES ON A SCANDAL component is another wrinkle.

I swear to god, I try not to watch Larry King but my doddering old dad was interested in something he could recognize as TV like it used to be in the old days, so I watched along when the former first lady of NJ was on the show along with some sociologist and a "former" sex worker (visually very interesting). The former first lady looked so agrieved and now we read this. I don't know why I find it funny, but sometimes the irony is just so great even when the news is actually sad...and really, does it get any sadder than Larry King and his unctious sincerity? It brought up the old video clip of McGreevey hiding behind his sexuality "I am a gay american"...instead of I am a corrupt politician who used the system for my personal pleasure and gain." And now we see the agrieved former first lady do the same thing, acting as the victim and with-holding the reality that would have shed some light on this. Why should we expect anything but snakes to come out of a den of vipers. Oh, and by the way, I am not against the idea of people engagin in sexual experimentation if that's what they wish to do consesually in private...really, you can pick your nose and eat it but please, some of us are trying to eat dinner), but by not being honest about it, it keeps the system at its core dishonest and prone to being leveraged by corruption, which I do mind in a big BIG way..and thanks to these weak (not sexually weak, mind you) but lacking in integrity kind of weakend officials we suffer and suffer and act like fools at their hands. Good grief.
