Fox News Obama Watch
Chris Wallace told me last December that the Democratic candidates were "damn fools" for refusing to debate on Fox, and that Barack Obama -- unlike Hillary and, famously, Bill Clinton -- declined requests to appear on "Fox News Sunday."

This morning, Wallace launched the "Obama Watch."

Showing perfect News Corp. synergy, Obama was displayed in split screen a la "24," with the ticking time clock at 730 days, 13 hours, 53 minutes and 9 seconds. And counting.

That number dates to May 2006, when Wallace said Obama first agreed to a face-to-face interview on "Fox News Sunday."

Read more here.

Watch the video below:

Chris Wallace, the host of Fox News Sunday, started an "Obama Watch," essentially a countdown of how long it's been since he asked Obama to appear on his show.

The Republicans are using Fox News to play Democrats like a fiddle.

Democrats can't see that Republicans have joined in on the mudslinging, in hopes of swaying the Democratic nomination. Instead of using the Democrats infighting as an opportunity to diversify and expand their voting base, they have opted to waging a full-blown war, via Fox News, on Obama. This strategy will prove to be futile in the end because for one it's still too early in the game and also it makes Republican's look like weak, scared racists. By the time the General Election comes around, all this stuff about Obama's name, minister... will be old hat and flex-voters like me will have long tuned out by then.

Seriously, how can Obama being a member of a controversial church compare to Sen. Robert Byrd being a former Ku Klux Klansman? This is issue is quickly becoming tedious and irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Let's get back on point, people.

That is true, by the time the general election debates are in full swing people aren't gonna remeber much of what is going on right now. Hell, they can't remeber what happened last week. More than 40% of Americans are unaware that the Bill of Rights protects freedom of religion and speech.

This is cool. It will be like RUSH'S ALGore clock counting down to the end or the Earth in just less than eight more years. I will be expecting all the followers of the Religion of Man-Made Global warming to sell all their possessions and run up massive amounts of credit card debt....O wait they have already done that!

I attend the church of man-made global warming!

Actually, your short post is a very bizarre rant. If you saw real information, besides what Fox and Rush dispense, you may keel over and die.

Actually Fox news ranks a piss-poor 4th to the major network broadcasts; which is where most people get their news.

This stunned crap is just Wallace and his silly little people screaming hey look at us down here.

Obama should immediately add this to his website. I can think of no better way to woo Democratic voters than to make Fox News look silly.

Clearly this means that Barack Obama is the front runner and the right is terrified of him. No matter what George Will might like you to think.

FOX news reminds me of a bad SNL skit that never ends. Gee, I wonder why he doesn't want to go on the show? Maybe it's because they infer that he's a Muslim terrorist every other day. Haven't FOX viewers already made up their minds on McCain anyway, I know he's a liberal pu**y and all but... And like they would actually listen to anything he has to say and think critically about it, you know, like an essay question on a GED.

So, even Fox News is getting on the Obama bandwagon. It won't help: they lost the respect of true patriotic conservatives when the 86'd Ron Paul, who'd just won 10% of the Iowa vote, from the "Republican Debate." Giuliani took part, even though he limped to a fourth or fifth place finish behind Paul. Fox News is not conservative but, like Hillary whose 35 years of experience includes sitting on the board of Wal-Mart, corporatist.

Some sponsors of FOX: adobe, american express, astra zeneca, avaya, americaquest mortgage, at&t, bmw, bayer, black& decker, boeing, bristol meyers, burlington coat factory, celebrity cruises, cdw, cheap tickets.com. cingular wireless, circuit city, dannon and direct tv

If you don't like the way FOX goes about business, don't watch their programs, and don't buy their sponsors stuff.

Rove has not even admitted on Fox that he is a McCain adviser yet. On Fox, small points of journalistic nicety like that do not matter.

FOX is not a news channel as long as Sean Hannity has a job there.

Colmes is kind of a tool himself - if you could find an unlikeable liberal, Colmes would top my list....maybe after Ed Schultz.

The entire premise for the show is to have Colmes argue the liberal point and then have Hannity come in and argue the Repug point. The trick to making it work is having the Dem be as spineless and homely as possible with the Repug being articulate and good-looking. Colmes is set-up every day and will continue to lose, EVERY DAY. He doesn't have a chance! This makes the Repubs look strong, not only in person but in argument. Colmes knows that he is being set-up and will never win, but he also knows that if he steps down there will be several other spineless Dems who will take his place and make the money he is making.

It's just unfortunate that the faux news viewers believe it is real.

While I believe Fox news represents a basically rural, racist group of people. Barack needs to go on their show and show their viewers just how wrong they are. As long as there are rules. 1. It HAS to be live. I'd give them a ten second delay to show he's flexible and understanding of their deeply Christian need to avoid the word fuck as I'm sure no Fox viewer's child has ever heard that before. 2. Nothing can be replayed after the interview unless it's shown in its entirety. That is about all he would need to make sure it's a fair forum. About all they could do with that is light him a bit darker to make him more black...um...I mean scary....um....I mean Presidential! Damn it's hard to speak Fox!

I hope that when either Hillary or Obama win the president--they will not grant press credentials to the any FOX News correspondent----they are not a legitimate news organization--much as they would like to thing so----relegate FOX to the fringe status they so richly deserve.I am glad that the Dems don't grant interviews to FOX News or agreed to take part in "debates" they had wanted to have----I would not talk to FOX either if I were anyone who was in the public eye at any level---if something happened to me now as just a nobody that would bring me into the national public eye---I would not talk to FOX News.
