Obama Mccain

Politico:

A classic exchange between Sean Hannity and John McCain last night (bolding mine):...

HANNITY: He's been -- but he's been going to the church for 20 years. His pastor -- the church gave a lifetime achievement award to one of the biggest racists and anti-Semites in the country, Louis Farrakhan. Would you go to a church that -- where your pastor supported Louis Farrakhan?

MCCAIN: Obviously, that would not be my choice. But I do know Sen. Obama. He does not share those views.

Interesting. The Republican is more supportive of Obama than HRC.

I'm sure McCain would be able to find other things to attack Obama on, but it won't be this, since he's already on record about it.

My guess is that since McCain is making it a non-issue, Hillary will have to follow suit or look like the Wicked Witch of the West.

Well, fairminded people have to give the man credit regardless of supporting him or not!

Sure, Obama made a wonderful speech about race. He always does. But ACTIONS speak louder than words. And his ACTIONS are that he attended that church for TWENTY YEARS, listening to all of those hate-filled speeches without walking out.

So will the REAL Obama please stand up?

And what is this BS about Wright being taken "out of context"? You could pick any of a THOUSAND old newsreels of HITLER, and find him yelling and screaming in a manner VERY similar to that of Rev. Wright.

But would you be taking Hitler's insane ideas "out of context"? No. Some ideas don't NEED a context. When you say "The bible says Gawd day-yum America", that means what he says.

And how many former SS stormtroopers said that they didn't "really" agree with Hitler. But lets face it: If some guy went to Hitler's mass meetings for 20 years, and listening to him ranting and raving, would you not say "you are a Nazi"? Who else but a NAZI would go to Hitler's meetings for 20 years (fortunately Hitler was only around for about 12 years)?

And so with Jeremiah Wright. Who would go to his church for TWENTY YEARS except someone who AGREED with his message of HATE?

There are MANY other GOOD ministers on the South Side of Chicago. There are MANY black ministers who are just as passionate and spirited as Rev. Wright but who base their sermons on LOVE rather than HATE. Because the Holy Spirit is about LOVE and HEALING, rather than about HATE and BLAMING.

So, I'm sorry. But Obama can give the most wonderfulest speech ever written in the whole wide world, but it does not negate those 20 years that he attended Wright's church. And it does not stop intelligent people from wondering what Obama is REALLY about. What is he REALLY going to do when he gets into power.

McCain: wrong on day 1 and many days after that:

Today:

"While in Jordan Tuesday, repeatedly misidentifies which broad category of Iraqi extremists are allegedly receiving support from Iran.Says Iran, a predominately Shiite country, is supplying the mostly Sunni militant group al-Qaeda when officials have said they believe Iran is helping Shiite extremists in Iraq.Bailed out by Joe Lieberman"s whispering."

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

Y'all are haters and need a job. Good for McCain to defend Obama! It's about time we had some real leadership. The Clinton/Bush years are over and we all have much to celebrate. If either win in November it will be a good thing.

I don't agree with most of McCain's comments but he has shown he is a man of honor. I truly believe he will not stoop as low as Hillary in her campaign against Obama. This is why Hillary would definitely lose an election against McCain because she will show that she has no integrity and he does. No doubt right wing 527s will continue to attack any Democratic candidate but McCain will have an honest campaign on the issues.

This speech has a historical context and yet is as current as today. Just as the Constitution is a living document that admits in its very inception that it must change and grow, so too, the America that I know is not fixated on the past but looking toward the future. We can only hope there are enough of us to see this call for unity as an etreaty to become a better place and a better people.

McBomb has subcontracted out racism and bigotry based attacks to Hannity.

That was good. So, if McBomb gets elected, Hillary will become Interior Secretary?

I don't agree with McCain's politics, but I think he has acted honorably throughout this campaign. Good for him for standing up to Hannity. His spokespeople have also made good comments, similar to McCain's.

Just like Peggy Noonan did last week to Joe and Mika on Morning Joe. I am actually thinking that McCain would be a better president than Hillary at this point, if that is my choice.

right wing racism will prevail. if we americans are nothing else we are racist and imperialist. but he did well for quite a while give americans that. now lets put the white woman or white man in the white house so they can finish the destruction of america. maybe by the time my grandkids have grown to adults the new beginning will begin.

come on bush bail out wall street where you plan to fill your coffers after you leave office.

McCain has Fox News and Right wing talk radio doing the work for him. Has he tried to stop them?
