Haaretz:

The location keeps changing, and the speakers might be different as well, but the goal remains the same: courting the Jewish vote. Today, it was in Washington, at the Washington 15 Conference, an event of the United Jewish Communities aimed at young Jewish leadership. And three campaigns sent their representatives to convince these young enthusiastic crowd that Obama/Clinton/McCain is the candidate they should be voting for....

...Eagleburger was trying to have fun. He was mocking his fellow panelist Kurtzer, sitting to the left of the others ("where he belongs"), and making noises and funny, impatient faces, while Ann Lewis was speaking. But more importantly, he did not mince his words. In a response to a question about the religious right, an important component of the Republican coalition, he said that it was, indeed "a serious problem," and reminded his listeners that he now lives in Charlottesville, surrounded by such people that he needs to fight.

Wish some scrappy reporter would dig into which religious right churches, pastors, organizations received Federal Money from Bush's Faith-based Initiative. Rev. Wright's statements were indeed offensive, but there was no tissue damage and no government money involved. Many of the evangelicals pushed rank Go to War policies from the pulpit, despite prohibitions of such by entities claiming 501(c) status. I strongly suspect that under Bush's Faith-based Initiative, my tax payer money went to support preachers just as inflammatory and politically inappropriate as Rev Wright. There must be a way under Full Disclosure laws to track the Faith-based money trail, and determine which of these two-faced demagogues is tied to federal handouts. My personal belief is that the 501(c) status is grossly abused--look at how many Jack Abramson set up!--and should either be abolished or more closed regulated.

Also, will Rev Wright ever get to speak for himself, to maybe recant or seek public forgiveness? ...or will he just go down in infamy because of incendiary snippets that could probably be dug up about lots of people--including most everyone in Washington. (Recall what Nixon said to Kissinger and others on the WhiteHouse tapes.) The media is doing a TERRIBLE job of churning and inflating this crap. If they had any class, Blitzer et al and Fox would get off their sanctimony; If they heeded the JC's advice "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone," there would be deafening silence. Again, Turn the Page.
Enough of these stink bombs that distract us all from the actual problems that elected leaders can do something about. Enough already of the Politics of Hate.

The inherent arrogance of Mr. Eagleberger in not only knowing that he has been consistently wrong over the past decade but then somehow being dismissive of everyone else in American politics or academics as being not worthy of having the right to participate in discourse without his childish facial contortions, grunts, and other comments - this man - like Pat Buchanan, James Carville, Karl Rove, Ann Coulter, and the littany of other mouths without intellects or ethics in America - need to be appropriate contextualized by the media with an appropriate disclaimer that they are indeed merely for entertainment purposes and nothing else. You do not watch Fox News for real news, it is like watching the biggest ignorant drunk rant at 3:00 am on pub night, it's a cross between Archie Bunker, Lewis Farkhan, Pat Robertson and Jessie Helms - it is simply comedy - not fact - not analysis - and not in the best interests of America.

The nation of Israel has been surrounded by enemies since its inception, and throughout my lifetime, will likely remain being so, and I do not expect, anything in the next administration to change that fact, and neither does any intelligent Israeli. What any American or Israeli or citizen of the world do want is a President and administration that will not coddle the Saudi Royal family while they both benefit from investing in the west and then utilize that benefit to sponsor the spread of Whabbi Islamic extremism (i.e. Al Queda) throught the global community.

This election is not about any one particular candidacy, it is about turning a page on the past.

No longer can America preach democracy and morality to the world when we support the corrupt installation of the Saudi Royal Family, the violent People's Republic of China, the knowingly corrupt Bhutto and Shariff famillies retaking control of Pakistan in the name of "democracy", the non-action of the US in the Congo, Tibet, South America, and anywhere else there is no economic interest, it is time for America to become what it claims to be - not merely what has become.

America once again needs to pay the price of leadership, and that price will be high monetarily as well as politically.

Obama or McCain 2008. Anyone but Clinton EVER.
Free Tibet. Boycott China.

Its time to start calling these extreme American bred Terrorist what they are, "Radical, Religious, and Violent Nuts" Hagee, Robertson, Dobson and more would advocate the overthrow of the government and believe christianity should be the sole religion in America. They do not believe in equality and supported without question the traitors heading up current administration.
