Bill Clinton: If Hillary Wins Indiana, She'll Be President

Political Radar   |  Sarah Amos   |   March 19, 2008 09:09 AM

Bill Clinton set a high bar in Fort Wayne, Ind., tonight while campaigning for his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y....

Today, Clinton was singing a different tune, telling the crowd, "we need your help. We need your help. I believe she will win a big victory in Pennsylvania. I believe she will win in West Virginia and
Kentucky. Nobody believes she can win in Indiana because it borders Illinois. If you show them they're wrong, she'll be the nominee, and she'll be the president."

Wrong, as usual.
Word on the street says that Nancy Pelosi will be Obama's running mate.
Pelosi has real experieince, not the imaginary kind that Clinton makes up!

Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi is currently the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. Before becoming Speaker in the 110th Congress, she was the House Minority Leader from 2002 to 2007, holding the post during the 107th, 108th, and 109th Congresses.

Since 1987, she has represented the 8th Congressional District of California, which consists of four-fifths of the City and County of San Francisco.

---snip---Mrs. Clinton"s advisers said they had spent recent days making the case to wavering superdelegates that Mr. Obama"s association with Mr. Wright would doom their party in the general election.
That argument could be Mrs. Clinton"s last hope for winning this contest.

Someone needs to inform Bill that Hillary needs to win 60% of each of the upcoming contests, PLUS 60% of the remaining uncommitted superdelegates to win the nomination. His claim that Indiana is the key is ludicrous.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:12 AM on 03/20/2008

Someone needs to inform Obama he should step down, for the good of the Democratic Party.

I do not like the politics that has come from the clinton side of this race slash and burn politics it will be Hillary or McCain. I have gotten together with several of my friends and we have decided that we will do our best to make Minnesota go for McCain. We are all Vietnam or Vietnam era veterans and figure that we can have the biggest impact working the veteran service organsations in MN, WI, IA,SD and ND that is were we think we can have the most influence. The other option is to find someone else to run Al Gore is still an attractive choice.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:10 AM on 03/20/2008

Larry....:

The ." If Obama doesn't win the nomination - I'm going to vote McCain" blackmail is pathetic. This is a primary for the nominee. The winner gets it - end of story. who the hell ever heard of a primary where half way through the race - supporters start screeching - no fair my guy's losing, so I'm not playing. Grow up!

It is not black mail it is a fact I do not like Hillary and her slash and burn politics. Slash and burn should be used against the other party not your own. I may have a third choice Jesse Ventura I would vote for him over all running I live in Minnesota and have always liked Jesse. It has nothing to do with my guy or your guy it is if I like how they conduct them selves. In the 2000 race I watched GW Bush for about ten min and I did not like or trust him and I was right. Now as I watch Hillary I like and trust her less all the time. I do not need to grow up I make my own judgments and make my decisions accordingly this is not a game that you play or not that is why I'm an independent I vote for who I thik is the best for the job Hillary comes in fourth.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:39 PM on 03/27/2008

This is getting to be "Hillary"ous

Come on people we as a party can choose to enact nothing more than Liberal Revenge (Hillary Clinton) or we can choose to enact an American awakening?

Which do we prefer? Which do we need more to compete now and in the future against the radical conservatives?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:27 AM on 03/20/2008

Bill thinks he is so clever - he said the same thing in Texas. And on March 29, we'll just see who has the most delegates from Texas. Hill tried to stop the Texas Dems convention at the end of March -- wanted to delay the truth from coming out. But it could not be stopped.

If those Hoosiers think they are going to decide the fate of the race, they really are deluded.

And Bill thinks he was mugged in South Carolina -- how funny is that.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:25 AM on 03/20/2008

I can't wait for them to run out of states, so I don't have to hear Bill's tired "If she wins____, then she'll be the nominee/president" speeches.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:58 AM on 03/20/2008

Can anything make him realize she doesn't DESERVE to win?

If she starts June behind in delegates...behind in the polls...behind in the popular vote....Bill will STILL find some reason to claim she WOULD....COULD....CAN .... WILL.....win.

I don't think I can stand four more years of him, much less Hillary. Please, America. Please get it right and don't put these chronic liars...exaggerators....self-promoters....opportunists back in office.

It was okay in the 90's, after Reagan/Bush. But,please, no more.

jsinclair:

Are you suggesting Obama and his "typical White" statement deserves the nomination? Or that his allegiance to the racist Rev. Wright slinging his divisive anti American rhetoric - makes him suited for the Presidency that is supposed to represent all Americans?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:41 PM on 03/22/2008

So why do we have 49 other primaries? Why even have the general election at all? Let's let Bill Clinton pick any state he thinks his wife can win, and declare that the way we select a President.

Dream on, Big Dog

xvrunner77:

Let's let the true front runner Hillary have equal and fair media coverage for a change. Stealing Florida's vote is not going to cut it this time. And why is Obama afraid of a revote... if he's so much into fairness and unity and all the other... clean politics he claims to support. His actions of him running for the hills, every time things aren't looking so good for him, make a mockery of those claims, don't they. And your Hillary attacks are making him look weaker and weaker by the minute.

Hillary again claims that GW Bush brought freedom to Iraq and not death and destruction.

Hillary Clinton 3/17/08, "And I believe that at the same time that we have to make clear to the Iraqis that they have been given the greatest gift that a human being can give another human being " the gift of freedom. And it is up to them to decide how they will use that precious gift that has been paid for with the blood and sacrifice and treasure of the United States of America."

Hillary supporters, do you believe GW Bush gave Iraq the gift of freedom?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:58 PM on 03/19/2008

No Bill, what was more disturbing was your assertion that people who HAVE money, don't need a president...you're being a jackass, again.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:57 PM on 03/19/2008

Just looked at the White House papers from Hillary...Geez Bill! I'd think you'd at least have the good graces to wait for Hillary to be gone solving some intricate foreign policy crisis on the other side of the world before you started messing with Monica. My God Man! Hillary's schedules show that she was in the White House at the same time you were getting frisky.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 06:10 PM on 03/19/2008

He said that if she lost Texas she should quit. Well, she LOST TEXAS! Obama got more delegates out of that state than Hillary so she lost. Let me recap how Texas does thing down there for the Hillary sock puppets who can't understand the facts and the truth: Texas holds a primary where people go an vote in a booth.Hillary won that by four points and took two-thirds of the total delegates alloted in Texas. BUT WAIT, the final one third in a caucus and she got her arse handed to her again by the passionate supporters of our next president. She got waxed so badly that Obama WON MORE DELEGATES! So Bill, why isn't she stepping down? By your own words she lost Texas and should quit. Winning the primary and claiming victory in a two-step process is like playing a hockey game, leading after the second period 2-1, and then claiming a victory as the Zamboni machine resurfaces the ice to get ready for the third period (caucus). I wish my Philly Flyers would make those same claims. Hell, we'd have won some more Stanley Cups.

What is this guy smoking?

Thats like saying, If Obama wins Detroit he will be president.

Seriously, Indiana???????

Have you been to Indiana??????

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:36 PM on 03/19/2008

So when she doesn't, she'll step down? Let's hold him to it.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:12 PM on 03/19/2008

But Bill you said she would win if she won Texas, and Iowa, and Pennsylvania! So which is it. The fact that's she's behind in both the popular vote and delegates and Obama has nearly caught her in Superdelegates, that you haven't bought off, does that mean that if she wins there your going to step in a somehow magically make the numbers work your way? Oh, I forgot your already trying that in Michigan and Florida. Win at any cost.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:00 PM on 03/20/2008

I remember just a few short weeks ago when it became apparent that Hillary could not get the nomination legally. She could not win the popular vote of the citizens despite the gutter-level of racist and deceptive allegations being made by the Clinton supporters. Hillary suddenly started ending every talk, every interview with a little speech to the effect that "no matter which Democrat wins, we all must agree right now that we will support the winner." Some people saw this as a prelude to her concession. I saw it as a warning that she had decided to steal the nomination by hook or by crook, by bribe or by intimidation of the superdelegates, and she was trying to con the public into agreeing in advance that whoever "gets" the nomination (not "wins" the nomination) will get our support.

Well, she won't.

Now we have what is common called the Clinton "kitchen sink" strategy. This is also known as the "s**t on the wall" strategy -- throw enough s**t on the wall and see what sticks. Of course the biggest pile of s**t the Clintons keep throwing on the wall is premised on racism: sending untraceable e-mails out to the world claiming Obama is a secret muslim; sending a photo of Obama based on traditional African costume to Limbaugh or one of those other scummy worms; finding videos of the preacher in Obama's church making honest statements, saying truthful things. Nothing makes white people quite so nervous as hearing a black person say they're sick and tired of racism. "He said what?"

Let's trade "He said what?" with "She did what?" When do we focus on Hillary's unconditional support for Nafta and the millions of Americans thrown out of work as a result. When does Bill disclose the millions of dollars that have been given to him by the oil countries in the middle east, and their "royalty." What "loyalty" has been bought? When does Hillary apologize for supporting a war which has caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands, and has bankrupt the country? When does Bill Clinton explain his cigar trick to us, exactly what was he thinking.

Hillary has released her schedule from the white house with tons of information blacked out. To protect the privacy of others? Come on. What privacy rights? Who was Hillary meeting and what was she doing that is so damaging that she's had all the information whited out? Tea with the bin Ladens?

Hillary Clinton: Wrong on Iraq, Wrong on Nafta, Wrong for America.

Bill is smoking that stuff again. And this time, I could swear he's inhaling!
But he's not shooting as straight as my favorite Indianan, Buch Jones, used to do.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:51 PM on 03/19/2008

I think what you intended to say Bill, was, she'll win the nomination!

Take care Bill, you're gonna waken up and fall out of bed!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:31 PM on 03/19/2008

Why are all you nice sweet talking people trying to butter up to Bill?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:17 PM on 03/19/2008

He must have been reading Hitler. "The bigger the lie, the more easily people will believe." And after Indiana, he will be telling that to the people of Puerto Rico, and after that the superdelegates at the convention. Go away Billary!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:10 PM on 03/19/2008

Didn't Bill already say that about Ohio, Texas and PA? And she lost Texas anyway-- Obama got more delegates out of the state. Funny how only the states that she thinks is favorable to her are important. She didn't think my state of Washington was important, which I take offense at and it was one of the things that turned me against her.
