First, there was Obama (twice!). Then, there was Brokaw. Today, Chris Matthews joins the growing list of men who have come on "Ellen" and embarrassed themselves by dancing.

After making his entrance with a shimmy, Matthews decides to take Ellen for a spin — which ends with an awkward grope and Ellen being pushed to the floor.

I never laughed so hard!! Ellen at least can stay on beat. Chris, well Chris is just hopeless. I'm sure he knows. Also, they could of played a song he could at least relate to. "Get Up Off That Thang" was a song Chris, I'm sure, has never heard of. Maybe he could bust a move on some Bon Jovi or Boston.

Matthews is such a right wing bigoted tool I don't understand how he appears in public without being showered with rotten tomatos. He gets speaking gigs on Campus. I just don't understand it.

I don't care for Chris Matthews at all, but this is a bit misleading. It was clearly an accident... this site has a tendency to make issues out of nothing..

That's a fact. I also have little or no use for Matthews however what happened there was he kept Ellen from hitting the floor as she had lost her balance. It was clear that she also knew he's just made a save. As for the save itself a gymnastic spotter would have done the same move with the same result. Also for the record: note that he in fact did not grope her and released her as soon as it was safe to do so. Well done Chris Matthews.

Are you guys nuts? Chris can't dance and both he and Ellen knew it. His saving grace was to try to take her hand and let her lead, so his spastic moves weren't so obvious, but because he can't dance, he wasn't clear how to twirl Ellen cleanly, so she is left with having to guess which way he is going...he's a big guy and jerked her (she didn't lose her balance) and then tried to grab her again and ended up with her in almost a head lock having touched far too many personal places. AS a comedian, Ellen tried to save his dignity by pretending to fall.--a comedy prat fall, but since he had no clue what she was doing, he even botched that....no it wasn't a good save CM...it was a thank goodness you survived the idiot Ellen!

I would say Matthews is proving on "Ellen" that white men can't dance. But after seeing Barack on "Ellen," apparently, black men can't dance either. I really dislike Matthews. But, honestly, I really don't think he was trying to grope her. I think he's just really that devoid of rhythm and grace. Immediately after touching the talk queen boob-age, you'll notice he quickly shoves her away and looks like he's thinking: "Did I just touch her tit?"

RyanK111...how astute..you look at a tv talk show guy and a elected official on Ellen and you say white men nor black men can dance? Dude! oh by the way many of us think if Ellen does her same four steps again we will die...anybody notice those dancing figures on the spam online...watch them closely, either those guys captured Ellen's moves or Ellen learned to dance watching those little robotons dance. Either way...it ain't dancing folks...its doing what ellen does.

I saw it once from a clip in Dan`s show. I find it sort of creepy, it is Mathews after all . To me it shows one more time he has no respect for women. If Mathews and Ellen are very close buddies it would have been okay perhaps . Otherwise the way he grabbed her in the end around her boobs... it is totally inapproprate !

Did he think , the lady is lesbian , so he could ?
