One interesting event in Sen. Hillary Clinton's just-released schedules from the 1990s comes on Nov. 10 1993, when the former first lady was to serve as the closing act during a briefing on NAFTA, the trade agreement she now assails....

"It wasn't a drop-by it was organized around her participation," said one attendee. "Her remarks were totally pro-NAFTA and what a good thing it would be for the economy. There was no equivocation for her support for NAFTA at the time. Folks were pleased that she came by. If this is a still a question about what Hillary's position when she was First Lady, she was totally supportive if NAFTA.

She sat on the board of Wal-Mart and they gave Bill 500,000.00 for his library, NAFTA is pushed and passed and low and behold now she says NAFTA needs to be REDONE. Whose board of directors and which one of Billary's foundations or whatever will benefit from the large money donations? It's simple folks, follow the money, it always leads back to the crooks!

I'm certainly not going to vote for Clinton, however, I can say this in her defense regarding NAFTA. NAFTA was a republican initiative. It was ratified by her husband because Repubs had enough votes for an over ride. So Clinton put a nice face on it an went forward. I'm really not sure if the President was for it or not

As was much during the Clinton years "a republican initiative".

To the good, but not so astute, people of Ohio.

You have been duped!

You voted for Bush 4 years ago and you believed clinton on NAFTA

Does the word DUH mean anything to you?

It's too bad that there isn't a political reward for the most inflated resume.

hillary has lied so often that she has started to believe her own BS.

"all politicians lie, but the Clintons do it with such ease that it's troubling". From the clintons friend and frequent donor, Geffen

When Hillary Clinton says "I'm vetted" she sort of has a point; news like this just bounces right off of her. Nobody believed anything she says before this, and no one will believe anything she says after this. They vote for her regardless.

And Obama is any more truthful? Speaking out of both sides of mouth in Ohio with a wink to Canada.

The wink to Canada has continually been debunked ... read the news ... please!!!!

Living on the Canadian border I read quite a bit of their news. Only places I have seen it debunked were Obama leaning sources. Just sayin!

Not only that, it's also been shown that folks from the Clinton campaign met with Canadian officials to downplay any anti-NAFTA talk. So here they are accusing the Obama campaign of something they were guilty of.

You lie.

The clintons were BOTH very pro-NAFTA and there was no wink with Canada

So, Hillary was pro-NAFTA. Once again, she will do anything or say anything to win the nomination.

Everyone in New York who reads the news or who followed her election already knew this stuff. She's my Senator and if she's the legitimate nominee I'll vote for her, but honesty and transparency have *never* been party of the package.

I would be more interested in the WH meetings that Cheney had, when he allowed the energy companies to set the policies. He had a map of Iraq, before 9/11, all carved up to show which oil companies would get the share of that region. Hillary was First Lady, Cheney was V.P. He did more damage than all the first ladies combined. Still, he refuses to release his records. Hilary released her records from what- 10 years ago? Why not demand all the WH records from THIS administration.?

So let's see. First, Hillary says that wasn't in favor of NAFTA even when she was First Lady, but now we find out she was. Later, on the campaign trail, she accuses the Obama campaign of telling Canada to disregard his tough talk on NAFTA when in fact it's her campaign that gives Canada those assurances about her. The folks in Ohio are absolute idiots for thinking this woman is interested in saving their jobs. Instead of having revotes in Michigan and Florida, how bout a revote in Ohio.

From the current issue of Newsweek, a note about the lack of a mention in the released Hillary Clinton papers about a meet and greet with campaign donor Johnny Chung, who got into at least as much legal trouble as Rezko:

"The schedule is considerably less revealing when it comes to more awkward episodes of the Clinton presidency. Consider the afternoon of March 9, 1995, when Johnny Chung, a businessman and soon-to-be-notorious Democratic Party fund-raiser, made a fateful trip to the White House carrying a campaign check for $50,000. For many critics, Chung later became a symbol of the campaign-finance abuses of the Clinton presidency, a mysterious Chinese businessman who managed to be cleared into the White House on 49 occasions. (He also later pleaded guilty to campaign-finance violations and testified that a sizeable chunk of his illegal campaign cash came from a Chinese military-intelligence operative.) Hillary Clinton made a special trip to the Map Room that day so she could have her picture taken with Chung. "We handshake, and then she [Hillary Clinton] said, 'Welcome to the White House, my good friend'," Chung later testified, describing the encounter with Hillary Clinton. Right after that, Chung hand-delivered his $50,000 to Maggie Williams, who was the First Lady's chief of staff at the time and now manages her presidential campaign.

But Hillary Clinton's newly released calendar for that day shows no reference to Johnny Chung at all. There is listed, just as Chung testified, an "official photo" session in the Map Room. But the name of the person Hillary Clinton was having her picture taken with has been deleted on the grounds that it would be "an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy," according to the Archives' released record. This may seem odd, given that Chung had spoken openly, many times, about his photo op with Hillary. It may seem even odder given that just a few minutes later the First Lady had another photo session"but this time, the documents identify the person whose picture was taken. It was Eileen Collins, the astronaut. "

Bill and Hillary Clinton, for all intents and purposes, are making a mockery of the spirit of the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution of the United States limiting an individual to two terms.

It almost seems like Bill is pulling a Putin, trying to install a presidential puppet, thus giving himself a new post where he can exercise presidential power.

Where do we draw the line? If Hillary can promote NAFTA for Bill, what will Bill promote for Hillary? If the two weren't so politically married I wouldn't be concerned, but this question needs to be debated. Look out for the vast right wing conspiracy.

That is right. A political analyst said that Bill is the political alpha male and that Obama is on his territory. That Bill isn't going to stand for it. Because, as you suggest, he wants back in the Whitehouse, in a co-presidency.
What I think is that Bill has something, however small, to do with these videos of Obama's pastor that Drudge keeps spewing out. And that he has his finger in other 'Destroy Obama' pies as well.
I really do think that.

Come on now. Give Hillary a break.

She thought the pro-NAFTA meeting was simply a request for more inspectors. While she doesn't admit her participation was "wrong" she "regrets trusting the president at the time."

Hillary "thought it was a vote to put inspectors back in NAFTA discussions" She has insisted that she and others were "told by the White House personally" that this was the purpose of the meeting, and cited President Clinton's assurances to defend her position.

Anyone who disagrees with this is part of the vast media conspiracy.

Hillary Clinton has never denied she spoke on behalf of NAFTA. This is yet another bit of BS. What she said was that she privately argued about NAFTA, but as first lady, she did what was expected and should have done.

The fact that Obama cherry-picked this role as first lady and then turned it into fliers saying she still supported NAFTA 100% was unfair. She is the only one in the debate in Ohio who tried to lift the conversation beyond the "NAFTA/WALLMART" level and point out that NAFTA has, indeed, benefited many parts of the country.

It's discouraging to me to see the Obama supporters supporting this type of cheap shots and stupid politics while praising Obama's speech as elevating.

Or you can figure out where she was when Monica was an event.

I'm frankly disgusted by the hypocritical positions. Which is it? Are we being stupid only when HIllary is involved? Are we reduced to child-like arguments because it's her?

For the life of me, why?
