Wondering how the strike affected fake Hollywood? It'll delay the debut of Entourage's fifth season until September, and the HBO comedy may deliver 12 episodes instead of 14 -- though creator Doug Ellin says he's "writing as fast as I can" to reach 14. This season, which starts shooting in late April, will pick up with the fallout from Cannes, where Vince's Medellin tanked. "The group dynamic is changing," hints Ellin. "Eric [Kevin Connolly] is finding success on his own, grabbing other clients, and Vince [Adrian Grenier] is suddenly having a hard time." The boys trek to Mexico and Joshua Tree National Park, where they'll "eat some psychedelic mushrooms and try to find themselves. It's one of my favorite episodes. It's their Into the Wild trip."

I wonder when the first presidential candidate will admit to doing shrooms -- will he (she) say he chewed, but didn't swallow?

Admitted pot smokers are basically talking to the boomer generation. "I didn't inhale" gets them out of their moral quandary of supporting repressive, corpo fascist US administrations that put people of color in jail, while allowing rich white kids to do all they need.

Admitted shroomers will talk to the next generation -- I'm just waiting to see what their (our) hypocrisy will cost us.

I have never laughed so hard and for so long as on Shrooms.

And they grow wild everywhere.

I hate to see this. One of the most profound experiences I ever had was due to the ingestion of psychotropic mushrooms. It was a journey that encompassed all human emotion, and more so. I was amazed, terrified, frightened, gladdened. I wept for things long past, and envisioned a wonderful future. In short, my experience healed me. I thinkthat in that day, I started my journey as a human.
Truly these mushrooms are rightly termed, "Sacred".
And that is why it is so sad to see these jackasses ruin it. What do you think the episode will be like? Introspection? Reflection? Insight? I doubt it, since those topics don"t make good television. Instead we will probably see them puking, laughing, and stumbling around stoned. A bunch of frat boy jerkoffs in Mexico. Reducing a possibly life transforming event into "Hey dude, let"s get some taco bell!" Television: "Sure, we'll ruin that for you."

i hear ya. in the mid-70s in north central florida 'shrooms were the natural drug of choice. at that time, the cow pastures were full of them. gorgeous looking psilocybin mushrooms poking up from all that cow dung that spotted the fields.

our group did them several times.

it was, bar none, the best "natural" high i've ever had. we would boil the 'shroom until the black juice came out and then dump it all into a blender with fruit juice and real fruit , throw some ice in there, and voila - shroom slushies. just the best - easy "up" - nice steady fun trip - easy "down."

they are the only things i'd love to do again - and i've not done them since that wonderful magical time in the mid-70s.

but times change and i do not advocate anyone else doing them now. word was, the farmers in the area started to feed their cows a fungicide of some sort and thus, ended the 'shroom proliferation. i don't know that for a fact, however, since i've not been trolling the pastures. LOL.

In NOLA, we'd grab a burger somewheres and slide the meat out and mushroom in. Sure enjoyed those Mardi Gras parades.
