Wolf Blitzer Mccain Iran

Media Matters Summary:

Discussing Sen. John McCain's false claim that Iranian operatives are "taking Al Qaeda into Iran, training them and sending them back," CNN's Wolf Blitzer falsely asserted that McCain "quickly corrected [it] after some prodding from his Senate colleague, Joe Lieberman." Blitzer then aired a spliced video of McCain's misstatement immediately followed by his "correct[ion]."

In fact, as The Washington Post reported, it was later in the press conference when McCain was "[p]ressed to elaborate" on his claim and after he reiterated that "Al Qaeda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are coming back into Iraq from Iran," that Lieberman "stepped forward and whispered" in his ear. McCain then corrected himself.

The following day, NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd said that the media is giving John McCain a pass on the slip:

Media Matters Summary:

On MSNBC Live, while discussing Sen. John McCain's false claim that Iranian operatives are "taking al-Qaeda into Iran, training them and sending them back," NBC News political director Chuck Todd asserted: "[T]his was not a one-time slip and ... had Clinton or Obama done something like this, this would have been played on a loop, over and over."

Let the facts speak for themselves.

I will say that its very interesting the passion of support for Isreal in the US.

If a Chinese-American had the exact same China nationalism in the US then that would be considered suspicious.

What if a German-american was fanatical about Germany's interests?

I think its important for all Americans to understand we have to be united under the premis that AMERICA comes first.

The whole damn system of politics and reporting is corrupt. It has been so for about 100 years and I doubt it will ever change unless someone who truly believes he can influence others with the truth is nominated. The only one that even comes close to that from my observation is Obama.

Watch the whole thing when you have time but at least fast forward to 1:07:20 thru to 1:22:00.

As McCain’s recent enemy identification problems have illustrated, the patriots from the GOP apparently need to revert to Dubya’s original terminology of bad guys and evil doers. It’s just to confusing to remember, Sunni and Shia, Al Qaeda and Hezbollah, mad Mullahs and hate mongering madrasahs, sharia law and enemies of democracy, seems like the only good guys are the Saudi Royal Family, oh wait they’re not exactly in favor of democracy either, and they belong to that OPEC thing.

What the hell, why not get some of them born again preachers together with the Air Force to bring some of their Christian Generals out of the closet and form up a Christian Soldier branch of the military and start a 21st. Century Crusade, of course it would be everyone’s Christian duty to sign up for the draft. Forget Jerusalem the oil wells are ours.

McCain's not going to get much attention. He's the sacrificial lamb thrown in front of the tsunami of Bush backlash. The neocons might end up bankrupting the country or start another civil war before the end of the year, but if they don't, it's the end of their world. Bush will probably end up in Paraguay to escape prison or death for his treason.

BLITZER is still working for the MOSSAD. Everybody knows that. Read his page at Wikipedia:

"Sometime in the mid-1970s, Blitzer also worked for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee as the editor of their monthly in house publication, the Near East Report.[4][5] While at AIPAC, Blitzer's journalism focused on Middle East affairs as it relates to United States foreign policy. Contrary to popular speculation, Blitzer has never lobbied on behalf of AIPAC." (unless you count the daily cover-ups he does on the Situation Room)

No, I'm sure McCain's experience gives him superior knowledge on these issues. He's just too senile to remember any of it :)

Reach Wolf Blitzer at this page:

http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form4.html?2

Ask him if he believes he is doing a good job for either his massive paycheque or more importantly for people in the world who trust him for news. Ask him if he does as good and fair a job as the BBC or the Guardian. Ask him why he did this for John McCain. Ask him if he remembers Walter Cronkite and Vietnam and if he feels he is doing 5% of what Walter did in reporting the news in the 60s and 70s.

Don't just vent on here where it is more than easy enough for Wolf to ignore you.

I think the best - and perhaps the worst - thing I can say about Blitzer is that he's about as interesting as a piece of overcooked macaroni.

I was absolutely stunned that the American media completely overlooked this serious error from a presidential candidate who is selling himself as the main man who knows what is going on with the quagmire the Bush Administration has created. McCain's ridiculous remarks takes away any credibility on the reporting Americans have received on the rational, progress, and directives of this war. Everything that comes out of the mouths of these war-mongers is meaningless - as is this invasion. Clearly this guffaw is a bigger indicator of leadership ability (or lack thereof, as the case may be) then a pastor's comments - but the proportion of histeria that each event inspired is a testimony of the hypocrisy that is spinning this nation off the map.

Small slip of the tongue. Are you nuts? He definitely does not know the difference between the Shite and Sunni populations. McCain is a farce. He and his supporters (Main Stream Media) are again trying to sell us a pack of lies.

Listening to NPR News coverage of McCain's (multiple) faux pas, this is what I heard;

"Hello, I'm John McCain.

I'm not wearing pants and I have no idea of where I am or what I'm doing.

Please vote for me for President."

Wolf wants the Iraq war to stay out of Israel, so all his commentary, opinion and focus is directed in this way...ie support McBush and Hillary cause McCain can beat Hillary but not Obama...end the McClinton drama, vote Obama.

Wolfie, like his corporate corporate masters, understands the first rule of the news apparatus;
"If it bleeds, it leads."

War makes for relaxed newsrooms. You always know what the lead story will be.

What a sad state of affairs in this, "The Greatest Nation on Earth."

McCain teared up as he signed the book at the memorial. Meanwhile, his aide was putting the finishing touches on a video hit job against Obama that made the Willie Horton ad seem sweet.
