Wall Street Journal:

Former Democratic presidential candidate and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson finally made up his mind and endorsed Sen. Barack Obama today, but a senior advisor to Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign--which likewise spent months courting the governor's nod--dismissed its significance.

"Look, I think that everyone has their endorsers," said senior Clinton strategist Mark Penn, adding-with a little huff-"I think New Mexico is a state that actually, we won."

"The time that he could have been effective has long since passed," he continued, "I don't think it is a significant endorsement in this environment."

Yeah he is so insignificant that The former president himself has lobbied Richardson on more than one occasion. When former candidates endorse it matters. So far we have Dodd and Richardson for Obama. Which former candidate endorsed Clinton? Oh that's right, none of them.

Peevish? Hahahahaha*gasp*hahaha! That's hilarious. Perhaps Mr. Penn needs a translator...Naw, he'd probably just end up speaking Churlish.

It's too bad, the nastiness really doesn't reflect well on the Clinton's.

Lets add this to the other things that Sen. Clinton feels are insignificant or "don't count":

1. Michigan and Florida pre Iowa

2. Caucuses

3. Vermont, Iowa, Minnesota, Alabama, Mississippi, Washington, Nebraska, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Idaho, North Dakota, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Connecticut, Maine, Louisiana, Hawaii, Alaska, and the Democrats Abroad.

4. Black voters

5. Words (didn't know that Barack would go all "Michael Jordan-in-the-4th-quarter" on you and pull out one of the greatest speeches of this half-century, did you???)

6. Any primary after Feb. 5th

7. Endorsements from the Major Labor Unions (he probably picked up the smaller ones too. I'm losing count. Its like counting Warren Buffett's money!)

8. Endorsements from most major newspapers

9. Oprah (need I say more?)

10. Chris Dodd (wasn't he running for PRESIDENT too? Just checking

11. and last but not least...BILL RICHARDSON!!!!

Looking forward, things that will not be considered "significant" in the near future:

. 1. North Carolina, Indiana, and Oregon.

2. Delegates

3. Race Speech

4. The little discrepancies in her White House Schedules

5. Her dignity

6. and last but not least...her campaign.

My prediction for the next 2 weeks:

Hillary will unveil a new pant suit made from Civil Rights era news clippings that will prove that she can carry the burden of Black Struggle.

The public reaction:
We will wonder who called her at 3 a.m. and asked if Big Bill and Little Bill can come out to play. We will fail to give a damn anymore and sight her campaign as a Yugo on the road to nowhere, burning up $3.50 a gallon gas, and sputtering like the drool on Chris Matthews bottom lip. We will begin to refer to her as "That Lady in the Britches" and FOX will offer her a job doing the morning donut run.

HAPPY VOTING!!!

Mark Penn - who the hell still believes anything he spins?

Apparently Richardson was not so "insignificant" when Bill Clinton recently flew to New Mexico to meet with Richardson under the guise of watching sports on TV. Like there are no TVs or sports buddies in New York.

This whole Clinton thing, including Hillary, make me want to throw up.

Richardson was on CNN a little while ago. He said he resented the fact that the Clintons were trivializing him. He also said the conversation about this endorsement with the clintons was unpleasant.

I wonder what that conversation was like... "SHAAAAAAAAAAAME ON YOU BILL RICHARDSON!!"

Sounds about right. Even after Gov Richardson told John King (I think it was him) that he resented being trivialized, he still praised the Clintons. A class act that the clinton camp could well learn from. Too bad they won't.

The lack of class shown by Mark Penn is simply the sad hallmark of the Clinton campaign.

Guess New Mexico isn't important any more now.

If Richardson had endorsed Clinton, you can be it would have been very significant. These guys will say and do anything. But Richardson's endorsement today of Sen. Obama is surely a BIG embarressment to the Clinton.

Like Richardson said on CNN, her bickering and fighting gave him pause. Maybe the kitchen sink strategy didn't work so great.

So as far as the Clinton camp is concerned - If we can't count on you, you don't count. How very 'Heathers' of her.

Sounds familliar ... something about 29 States. Strategy like that put a Clinton in the White House and Republicans in the Majority in both chambers of Congress and I've had quite enough of that, thank you very much.

Mr. Richardson's endorsement will have a limited impact, in my opinion, on Mr. Obama's support. What is going to hurt Mr. Obama the most is his comment regarding "typical white people," regardless of his intentions. The impact will be even greater than the Rev. Wright controversy. Perhaps I'll be proven wrong in the long-run, but as of this moment, I do think the impact will be greater than anyone wants to believe.

I think the impact will be minimal since it was obvious to most people what he meant. Even Chris Wallace had to call BS on this one. Besides, one thing that has become clear is that having an honest discussion about race begins with giving the speaker the benefit of the doubt and not trying to pick apart words.

The impact to people who already made up there minds who to vote for will be Zero. The impact to people who were undecided and with open minds has yet to be fully measured. But it was historic. No presidential candidate in living memory took such a chance. Especially one who is leading and could have simply disowned Rev. Wright and moved on easily capturing the nomination. You and a few others with hardened hearts can try and low ball that kind of courage. The rest of know it for what it is, presidential. I hope you change your mind. Because their is room for all Americans. It's time to take back our government and country.

JackBenny, you may be right. Morning Joe was drilling it pretty good today but..... I honestly think the generation that supports Obama just doesn't care about those ancient issues in the same way that our generation does (did).

You may be right. I see that potentially being played over and over out of context.

I voted for Hillary in California.

After what I've seen from her campaign... I would not have voted the same.

Typical. One candidate faces adversity head on. The other denies that the adversity right in front of them even exists.

For once, I would like to see the Clinton campaign show some class.

Richardson is a great guy. Calling him "insignificant" is an insult to New Mexico and to the fact that he is the most successful Latino politician in the US. Obama would do well with him as his running mate.

You're with the Clintons or you're insignificant.

That is the judgment that puts her in a distant second place.
